You walk by a house with a big front yard. The entire front yard is covered with whimsical Halloween decorations. There are many painted and carved pumpkins on the lawn, all with friendly faces, or animals on them. There are cute ghosts and bats hanging up from trees, moving around in the gentle wind. Some fake cobwebs are over the bushes. There’s even a big blow up jack-o-lantern. Everything looks very kid friendly.
This house certainly looks like it would have something interesting.
You walk through the yard and approach the front porch. It’s strung with orange flashing lights and more fake ghosts. You can't help but smile to yourself at how cute everything was. As you walk up the steps of the porch, you look at the decorations some more and admire them. Once you look away, you notice the big bowl of candy by the door.
Then you see a little girl, no older than four, sitting on the porch. She has bright blue eyes and light hair tied into pigtails. She’s in a fairy costume, complete with a crown and wand. There is a white cat wearing a pumpkin costume sitting next to her. The girl is petting the cat. The cat is purring contently and appeared to be falling asleep.
The little girl then looks up. Her eyes light up when she sees you. She runs in front of the big bowl of candy, holds out a bag to you, and sweetly says, "Twick or tweet."

A terrifying, unearthly, rare creature stumbles through the walkway filled with adorbs displays, taking as much as she can in, air included.
The head of the (dog? wolf? hard to tell) lifts marginally over and over, as if...sniffing, perhaps. The displays were certainly very lovely indeed.
With the child's gift, the creature's heart melts so much she scoops her up into her paws and gives her a big hug--before releasing her immediately, of course.
The creature's tail wags slowly, unsure as to what to do. Perhaps she notices the cat and doesn't like confrontation.

A hooded figure, which whisked itself towards the porch, looks down looming over the little child, holding out her treat bag. How cute; did she have trick or treating mixed up? No matter; how could they say no to such an innocent little child?
"What a great costume you have," the figure says slowly and dramatically. "A gift you shall receive."
They reach into their cloak, rummaging around before pulling out some glitter. "You're a fairy, are you not? It's a great costume as is, but if you ever want more to it, nothing works better than glitter." They hand over the vial of glitter. "Don't worry, it's completely safe. But just use it for decoration."
They look around. "Speaking of, you have some lovely decorations around here."

Mostly Harmless (flufflepuff) The little girl's eyes widen with wonder. She's excited when the creature hugged her. This is amazing to her. "You have the bestest costume eva!" the girl cheers. She hops up and down. The cat hides under a chair as she did this. It's unclear if she was hiding from the jumping girl or the creature. When the girl stops, she looks at the creature again, this time with curiosity. As good as a costume as it seems to be, she can't tell what it is. "What are you dwessed as?" Gelquie The little girl looks at the vial of glitter. She is almost entranced by the sparkles. They match her costume perfectly. "Wowie, thank you!" the girl cheers. She opens the vial and throws the vial up, sending glitter raining down on her, the hooded figure, and the cat. "This is very pwetty." The cat shakes the glitter off and walks to the corner of the porch. "It looks like Snowy does not agwee with me. "Mama and Papa set up the decowations. They said they wanted to bwing other people here. Why, I don't know." Then the girl remembered. "Oh yeah, for twick or tweet!" She turned to the bowl. "Do you want any candy? I'm 'upposed to hand it out."

From the driver's seat of her caravan, the lady smiles down at the little girl. "Oh, how sweet," she remarks as her horse also bends down to sniff at the child. "You certainly are a beautiful fairy. A fairy queen perhaps. Or do you prefer to be a princess? A fairy princess is not as powerful as a fairy queen, however, so choose wisely."
She takes off, flying around the back to her caravan while the little child is busy with her horse. Eventually, the lady returns, holding light blue ribbons and a beautiful comb with fairy wings. "For your pretty hair. I hope this serves you well after Halloween, my dear," she ties the ribbons around the girl's pigtails and puts the comb in her hand. "If you wish, you can also use this on your kitty cat. Hair is, after all, only fur that humans have."

The figure smiles at the child's joy. "You're very welcome. I think Snowy is wrong; it's very pretty, and very pretty on you!"
They nod. "And yup, they probably set it up for trick or treating! Which is why I came by, yes, but I'm happy to help. I'll take a piece of candy if you're offering, though." They pick up a treat from the bowl. "Thank you."

Three figures loudly bicker as they cross the lawn.
"Alex, for the last time, wait over there."
"But it's so cute!" the zombie reaches out to touch one of the adorable little bats.
"Cute usually means kids. Kids hate you."
"Well, maybe I hate them," the zombie mutters, folding his arms petulantly.
The smaller figure, Thorn, opens her mouth to continue arguing; but freezes when she notices the little girl sitting on the porch.
Pigtails. Fairy outfit. Adorable cat.
Oh, no.
"Those are just costumes!" she blurts out. "Very scary, very realistic costumes. But they're not real zombies. That would be absurd! Please don't be scared, oh yes, candy? Don't mind if I do. Thank-you! Again, they're not zombies, we're all humans here, thanks for the candy."

The young woman, silhouetted by her black detachable wings, feather boa, and fluffy skirt, eyes the quaint little house and makes no hesitation walking up to it. As she catches sight of its residents, though, all she she's is a small young girl, happily bouncing her way. And no parents or adults in sight for protection. Oh nooooo....
Suddenly feeling the pressure of talking to a little child without making a fool of herself, she dons a nervous smile and says, "O-oh, for me? Or are you asking for some--?"
She eyes the candy bowl and, suddenly making an executive decision, plops a handful of candy into both the little girl's bag and the bucket she brought for herself. She makes another smile to the child.
"Yeah. There."
Nailed it.
