There's a new, pink, kind of chocolate."The new kind of chocolate, which comes with a characteristic pinkish-red color, is made from ruby cocoa beans sourced across the world. It is all-natural — no berries, berry flavor or food coloring was added." I'm 1000% down for a new kind of chocolate! Anyone going to China soon?

Huh, that looks interesting. I would not mind trying it, though nobody in my family is likely to go to China in the near future. Sadness.
I do like the colour though. It's pretty, and it's hard to believe it is made without berry additives, or anything like that.

One of my roommates is actually going to China in a couple weeks-- Hmm, perhaps I should bring this up to her? ,':3 Because yeah, I am also curious to try it out, see what it's like!

Okay, out of the three traditional types of chocolate, only dark and milk are any good. White chocolate is the work of the devil. (Anyone who has ever talked to me knows the intensity of my hate toward white chocolate.)
Ruby chocolate... I don't know how I would take it, actually. I hate red velvet for example just because of its color (I expect chocolate to look like chocolate), and a lot of people do too, since vision is such an overpowering modality. I don't know if its appearance would affect the way I taste it on sight. >> But I suppose I can bum off a friend from China and ask them to bring some along. x)

Huh, sounds interesting! I wonder if my brother would like this - he actually doesn't like dark or milk chocolate, only some white chocolate; if this took off it'd be a nice new option for him. ...I don't think we have any convenient connections to China to get some, though, alas </3

My sister has only just moved out of China! Curses.
It looks really interesting! One almost can't believe that it isn't artificial colour.

I'm a liiiittle skeptical on this, especially since in another article I read, the exact processing by the one who invented it is something they're keeping tight to their chest, which doesn't rule out a marketing thing. A quote: "He said the beans that earn ruby status have a particular mix of compounds, but wouldn’t explain further. Nor would he give details about the processing methods that bring out the chocolate’s pink hue and fruity taste." (source)But honestly, I'd buy it and try it anyway; it sounds really good! xD I don't have any contacts who could get some for me, though, alas. </3 ...Their marketing for this, though. ...Lol, like no other generation has ever done that or wouldn't be into this in pretty much the same manner.

I saw someone suggesting that it was made closer to Dutched chocolate (treated with an alkalizing agent) which makes the chocolate less bitter and smoother -- it also gives the chocolate a reddish tint.

It's pink, of course I would try it. :D
(Joking and plagiarizing Killix's post aside, though, it looks pretty cool and I would be really curious to try it! XD)

I doubt it would be something I'd go crazy over, but I wouldn't mind trying it. I love milk chocolate, and white chocolate is ok, but I'm really not a fan of dark chocolate (it's too bitter for me).
