That is to say, I finally got my dentures!! Little backstory here- I like to tell people I hit the genetic lottery on everything but my teeth. By the time I was 18, they were falling out or breaking and generally causing not just embarrassment, but BUCKETS of pain. (As you can imagine.) And then the ACA passed and suddenly I, with this MASSIVE pre-existing condition, could finally get it taken care of. In February, I had all of them removed at once. Since then I've been going to fittings, moldings, bite testing, shade selection (you bet your bottom dollar I picked the whitest shade, lol.) And I thought I had one more appointment but on Monday they're like LOOK THEY'RE HERE! It's taking some adjusting. My bottom gums are sore as they're getting used to having something resting on them (but if the soreness continues past a month I have to get them reshaped.) But I'm thrilled with them. Screw denture paste, though. I'm not sure if I'm just getting it wrong or if denture paste is just awful but ugh. The seal kept popping and I just decided to learn pretty quickly how to keep my bottom denture down. XD

Thanks, Moni I'll need to get my bottom denture adjusted because *apparently* it's not supposed to actually be even a little painful, lol. So I'll get that done tomorrow. this just in: I can eat a whole banana with just my top denture. XD

Congratulations! You look amazing with those and hopefully, very soon, once you get used to it, you're going to feel amazing! I bet they'll improve your quality of life by a whole bunch. ^^
