At first I was like "dude, a retro-styled platformer? Why did no one tell me about this game, this looks awesome!"
...then I actually started playing, died multiple times to cheap deaths, and changed my mind. WHY WOULD YOU HAVE THAT HIGH OF KNOCKBACK AND MOVING PLATFORMS ON LEVEL 2
*ragequits and just accepts Abigail's score*

Assignment 52 tips:1. If you're having problems I highly suggest watching the video, if only to get familiar with the levels and learn a secret or two. From the video you only need to get to Level 3 to get the required score so the rest of these tips will mainly pertain to getting through those levels. 2. While your air supply counts as a timer I will still suggest taking it slow and steady. Plan ahead as best as you can (like learn when the projectile enemies fire and how far so you can position yourself and kill them). 3. Don't forget the secret on Level 1 that leads to a food item! 100 points doesn't seem like a lot but every bit helps, especially if you miss out collecting a Nerkmid or two which is easy to do. BTW the food items look like this (thanks JN): . I tell you this since there are small enemies rolling around and it can be hard sometimes to know what's good and what isn't (though as a general rule, if you're not sure, jump on it unless it looks like something you can't jump on like spikes). 4. Level 2 has a beginner's trap. Though if you're careful you can collect the Nerkmids your first time crossing the gap at the start of the level, I would suggest waiting a ducking till you get to the other side, destroy the projectile plants, then going back for the Nerkmids. So far I feel this is the only challenging part and it has gotten me now and I remember in the past. 5. Starting with Level 3 enemies who can't be jumped on appear. This planet's is a pink spike mold, they're stationary but there's some platforming challenges with them so make sure not to touch them. That's all the tips I can provide, sadly there's no codes which you think there would be for a game like this since its trying to be retro. *shrugs*

I definitely had some trouble with this game, but somehow, beat Chadley.
Also, if you need some extra help, read JN's guide, especially when it comes to the extra points.

Oh. My. Goodness. My high score in assignment 53 before tonight? 1,422. *whimpers* My high score now? (I will not reveal how long it took me, nor how many times I played.) 5,854. o.O YAY! I thought I was at least going to have to forfeit the "day of release" prize but I got it.

Is it odd that I love A53? It's one of my favorite games on the site. Got the avvy last year, actually.

I never played Barf Boat before, actually.
It never could run on my old computer, and it just didn't seem appealing.
This score makes me weep.
I beat it though, it took forever, but I beat it.
And I was 3 slots below a trophy slot too :K

Oh, Barf Boat! I practiced this, so I'm good. *sees score, ship starts shaking later in the game, and bigger bombs* THIS DIDN'T HAPPEN WHILE I WAS PRACTICING. D: Today, my highest score of the day was 980 and I got so frustrated. I still have time to beat it and I will. ^^ EDIT: Welp, I did it. It took forever, but I did it.

This is the one game where I was forced to choose Abi because of my computer's age. Even on low quality, there is some noticeable lag. I'm not taking that risk of having my computer lagging on me at a critical moment and then I lost out on Chadley's score because of the lag.

*twitchy eyebrow*
That right there is one game I just don't like, because maybe you should not become a pirate captain when you can't take a bit of wind, way to give pirates a bad name, what did you think this was going to be, driving down the interstate? Also the controls are stupid.
I like the shipmelon better anyway :'D

1. Slippery controls 2. Way too high score 3. Disgusting
Yep this game has no redeeming value whatsoever.

I've been awaiting this day, practicing because PIRATE THEMED PRIZES. I really hoped Chad's score wouldn't be above 300... Alas. The game glitches way too much and the controls are far too unresponsive for me to hope of achieving this Chad score.
