Oh, another stamp. Cool. I was excited until I saw it went on Other III. The Moltara page will never be filled

Glad today is a double dare, because both prizes appeal to me. Pretty sure the skirt is pants Jellyneo needed some models, and I was able to contribute. That's a first for me.

My goodness, the hitbox in this game, even on low quality, is terrible. Hit an obstacle, and you're more than likely to bounce around and hit another.

I think the trick in this game is just to accept that you're going to hit lots of petpets and walls, and just go after as many health bonuses as possible.

Yeah, forget about any idea of careful maneuvering with this game. Just focus on getting through the tunnel while collecting as many gems and health orbs as possible and hope the health orbs refill the HP you lose hitting walls or Petpets. Chadley's score is low enough that if you don't have it by the end of the first level you should by the second.

Okay, now no games are loading. What's going on? Happened to me with yesterday's game. A right-click and select "reload frame" helps. If not, try disabling an ad-blocker if you have one? (I use Chrome, for reference)

Aw yiss, Jubble Bubble, easily one of my all-time favorite games. My problem with this year's DD is, I'm playing on my side what with my main account currently being a fine vintage on the rocks, but I know that my top score for that game was in the 900s.
*plays three times, keeps dying in the 300s* well poo.
I've devised a theory about the low score requirements of this year and recent years: it feels a lot like they're trying to lure in (or rather lure back?) the players whose free time and/or willingness to spare the effort is limited. As in, people who were once avid players but now have less time to spare on account of growing older and having jobs, kids, chores and other such lifethings to take care of. People like me xD I've been able to keep up with DD this year by knocking out the Chadley scores in five minutes, and that's excellent because I would probably have given up trying pretty quickly if it'd taken more than the token effort. Instead I'm chugging away at it daily, and rediscovering the rest of the site as a result, and throwing NC at the Lulu detective game and getting NC Mall stuff while I'm at it because I'm now nearly 30 and make my own money and can finally pay for extra features, what is this madness.
Basically, I'm betting that they're trying to gear this one towards the casual playerbase, as opposed to the Challenge Me, My Body Is Ready playerbase. The online game equivalent of selling a thousand t-shirts for one dollar vs selling one t-shirt for a thousand dollars.

HuntressI was thinking that might be the case, too. It also got me thinking that maybe that's why they brought back Chadley - canonically, he's worse than AAA at games, so it makes sense for his scores to be lower. A lot of people turn their nose up at challenging Abigail because her scores have been almost embarrassingly bad for years, so Chadley gives a nice middle ground.

I agree that they're probably trying to appeal to a more casual playerbase, though in some ways it feels like maybe they're going a little TOO easy? Maybe that's just me being a pro gamer though, idk. XD

Canonically, Chadley and even Abigail have similar skills with games to AAA - for all his talk, AAA isn't actually all that good. But even if that wasn't the case, this year's premise is that Chadley is cheating to get his scores - so in terms of the story he should be posting scores higher than AAA rather than lower.

I was more referring to the scores, not the story. In the 2013 DD, the optional AAA scores from the morse code blew Chadley's scores out of the water. They might not have been ~objectively amazing perfect awesome MLG-pro *airhorn*~ scores but it did establish a consistent score hierarchy of AAA > Chadley > Abigail. I don't think JS really cares about the two or three crumbs of story that we get per DD/GMC, they just wanted an easy way to make the top trophy more accessible. Kinda like how they've been making it easier and easier to get All-Star in the Altador Cup. People whine all the time about the site being juvenile, but JS does seem to be aware that the majority of players are either full-time students or workers.

Chadley Streak going strong.
As someone who's played DD in the past, I'd say Chadley's scores are pitiful even for Chadley! In years past, I'd almost always have to choose Abby's score, even when it was all three or just Chadley and Abby. This year I've had little problem beating Chadley.

Canon-wise, the old team probably played the current one into a corner. If I remember right, Abigail was introduced a few years into the events, and I'll bet that she was intended for the token-effort crowd, while AAA's scores were for the actual challenge. Except it doesn't really work psychologically: nobody wants to suck up the kiddie score when the higher score with better prizes is right there, within your visible highscore limit and perfectly attainable if you just had a bit more time to shake off the rust. So you'll think, "Okay, I'll play this one later after I'm done with work/finish dinner/the kids are put to sleep" and it goes into the procrastination pile. And ultimately, the site team is interested in people playing the site, not us achieving particularly high gamescores.
...case in point, today's game that I have no memory of ever playing and can't seem to get past the starting stages of level 2, am I really going to have to suck up the kiddie score for this one? >:C
but I might get Chadley if I just play this a few more times later, I should totally be able to find the time in the evening
