So it's been, right down to the hour, a full year since I first joined this forum. Good move on my part =D I've enjoyed being part of a creative community again, felt welcomed and supported by you guys, hope to stick around for the next decade and more... dang, I've run out of sappy things to say... Um, by happy coincidence, my first anniversary happens to fall on the second day of the Lunar New Year, so Happy Year of the Jade Phoen- Fire Rooster to the NTWF!

Aww, thanks M is for Morphine, PFA, Tiger, and everyone who's liked my post (indeed, it is feeling remarkably well-liked)! P.S. Changed the picture to something smaller and more emblematic of 'fire chicken thing'. P.S.S. Huntress, you may or may not already know this, but your son is a Fire Monkey baby. I know not whether this will cause the cosmos to subconsciously influence his future choice of starter Pokemon. Please keep us posted.

I'm a Fire Rabbit and I did pick Charmander, so the sonnyboy best be continuing the legacy. Although realistically, sonnyboy will probably just think that Pokemon is a stupid retro game that only old people play. Which is also why I don't have very high hopes for him ever joining this forum xD

I'm a Fire Rabbit and I did pick Charmander Howdidyoudoit, it's well known that Charmander is the hardest starter Pokemon for the Red/Blue versions; virtually all the wild Pokemon you can catch between Pallet Town and the Pewter Gym have a type disadvantage against Rock/Ground, and Misty's Starmie actually K.O.'d me before even with Squirtle and Pikachu on my roster. Wow, it feels like just a year ago you were just getting to know us! :-p And now I've got this song stuck inside my head

Pokemon Go in which Pikachu is the hardest little starter sonovamonkey to get your hands on, but I've never found any other Charmanders either. I haven't played any other Pokemon games, onnacounta being a child of the Postsoviet Nineties (truly a special era in human history) and by the time I reached the point in life when I could technically buy all the games I wanted, I didn't especially care any more. Which is how you know you've become a boring adult. Realistically, there'll probably be a third surge in popularity of Pokemon games as the kid's generation grows to gaming age and then I can squabble with him over gaming rights. At which point I might get around to finally finish watching the anime with him. *doesn't especially like to acknowledge the existence of any Pokemon past Mewtwo*
