I'm planning on buying and using some items from the trading post: Pirate Draik Morphing Potion, Lost Desert Paint Brush and Faerie Paint Brush. I noticed that both of the Paint Brushes are retired. Last I heard, retired items are still usable but it's been a really long time since I was active on Neopets so I want to confirm that I can still use these items before I start spending a few million NP on them.
Also, is it possible that my pet could refuse to drink my morphing potion? I've never heard of that happening, but again, it's been a really long time so I want to be sure

Those items will all work just fine, no worries ^^ IIRC, "Retired" just means the item doesn't stock in regular shops anymore (though I also recall Faerie Paint Brushes being sold at the Hidden Tower? Maybe it doesn't count as a regular shop?). And nope, pets can't refuse to drink Morphing Potions.

The only Paint Brushes that won't work is Stone Paint Brush and Glass Paint Brush as those Colours are retired, thus no longer exist. Here's an Editorial explaining it (question 11, or scroll down till you see the Paint Brushes). I don't know why the Lost Desert Paint Brush is considered Retired. The Faerie Paint Brush was sold in the Hidden Tower and then retired, thus why its considered Retired (r180). |

Duke Pikachu;3 There is also the Lutari Island Paint Brush that doesn't work, but unlike stone and glass it never worked in the first place.

I wonder what TNT's plans were with it, whatever it was probably went down the drain along with any other plans they had with Lutari Island when the first Neopets Mobile service got discontinued. |
