I'm changing ISPs (hello Google Fiber) tomorrow so my IP will be different, but would be near the same location. The chances that the hacker...or script kiddie (most of the people doing this are just copying and pasting someone else's code) is sophisticated enough to use a proxy to get an IP in the same location as the target account is pretty slim. Even proxies usually give themselves away though since a normal user wouldn't be behind one.
Pay little to no attention to my gibberish here. I'm merely trying to reassure myself.

-sigh- No updates today on the status of my accounts. On the plus side, all six pets I had entered into the BC are still entered and people are able to vote for them with no error message coming up. So that's something to hope for.

No status update here (although TNT technically is at work for another hour) but if anybody is like me, I wouldn't start a new task an hour prior to the workday ending. Well...unless other people are staying late and there will be food like Chipotle or something. Lol.

This happened to me in 2008. Turns out they thought I was cheating via holding down the F5 key. I DID get my account back but it took ages.

Not expecting a response before 2017. If I do get one, I hope I'll get my account back. I've asked CQ about transferring the NT trophy to my side account. I hope it doesn't come to that though.

Still waiting for a response. They really need to make support "not a fiasco of waiting forever." Even the worst phone support calls I've been on haven't taken this long. The ticket is still in a "Work In Progress" status.

Good luck with getting your account back! I know something that happened to me (I had a hacker get into my account, presumably from a cookie grabber, who was actually pretending to be me and posting in my guild!) is being able to tell them who my neofriends were, what was the email I first signed up with (I'd changed it since then), how much money was in my bank account, and that sort of thing. The hacker ended up pounding some of my pets (including Sweet_Buttercreme, one of the characters in my comic!) TNT ended up freezing the account and then rolling it back/resetting it to an earlier state so that I would get Buttercreme back, but her petpet teasquito was lost forever.

Two months and counting. So far no response or acknowledgement of the ticket. I've been posting on the Ticket Response waiting board on the HC and attempted to reach out on Facebook.

Good idea. I sent them an email. Although all that's done so far is just assigning me another ticket number in the JS system. Hopefully they are responsive.

I will say that in my case one of the things that helped was having a friend who knew the Neo staff and e-mailing a staff member directly. I think going through the ticket system it just takes a long time for each ticket to be handled (especially when people spam tickets, which we know they do).

I don't know anybody that has that type of connection. However if anybody has the email of one of the support staff, could you please PM that to me? I know Rico and Alice have addressed some of my tickets in the past.

Hopefully they are able to help you guys out. I have been planning on making a Spreadsheet with all sorts of information for my (new) main account. My original account was frozen after being hacked about a decade ago. (I still miss my Meridell Knight avatar.) I wasn't active enough in trying to get my account back- and was eventually told too much time had passed since I was frozen to get it back. I gave up hope for a while.
This does motivate me to make the spreadsheet I need to make. If I remember correctly it asked me for a list of my NeoFriends. Hopefully JS or TNT gets back to you soon.

I think I made a quick list of things to do to assure your account(s) safety a while ago. Don't remember where it is but I remember the gist of it: 1. Go through the Frozen Account Ticket Form and note what info you'll need to know. This is hopefully the quickest way of getting your account back. It's pretty straight forward what info they want, though there are some that I can include tips for: - Have your purchase NC?: If you select "Yes" a new box will appear asking you for the date and amount of NC you purchased. THIS IS VITAL. It tells TNT/JS you put money into the account so you have more "stake" in getting the account back then those who never did. This is why I do suggest, to people who are able, to buy like $10 of NC. Even if you don't use it, it's still money put into the account thus you're now technically a customer rather than just a player playing for free.
- Why do you feel this account should be returned?: It's understandable your emotions are running high, but you got to keep calm. Don't be rude, that's the quickest way to get the Support Staff to not help you. At the same time don't kiss up, as that'll just make it seem like you don't have a good reason why you should get your account back. Instead try just listing reasons you think would convince them you were unfairly frozen. Some ideas: If you've been a Neopets player for a long time point that out (why would you risk your account after having gave so much of your time to it?), if you have a lot of trophies point that out (why risk losing all those trophies? Especially ones for past plots? Or ones for creative contests like Poetry, Art, and Neopian Times?). Basically you're more explaining why you wouldn't have done anything wrong/how much effort you put into the account.
- Who are your Neofriends?: Now you can put your entire Neofriend list, BUT honestly it would be better to just include ones who are VIP (and not frozen/haven't logged in for a long time). Right now look through your Neofriends list and do some clean up: remove those who are frozen/haven't logged in for a long time and for those you talk recently to make them a VIP. You want to show you don't only have Neofriends but that these Neofriends are active (thus will probably also be angry if you stayed unjustly frozen).
- Items in your closet or equipped to pets (please specify): Once again, try not to list every single item. Pick out items you're very fond of. If you own a series of items instead of mentioning them one-by-one say you own that series of items. If your Neopets has an item they always wear no matter what customization mention that. It's also here where you should mention any BD weapons & Faerie Abilities they have. All you're doing is proving that, yes, this is your account and you know a lot of the contents it has.
- Further explanation, additional details: Ever bought Premium? Mention it here with billing info (remember, its money put into your account). Have a SDB? Do what I suggested with your Closet and mention items you have in there that are important to you. Related, if you can remember what you had in your Inventory that might help too. Got a Stock Portfolio? Put down some of the Stocks you have (I suggest, at this moment, writing down the stocks which are at 10 and below as they probably won't be rising up to 60 and above any time soon. Though of course you may want to try updating this and any other information every month). Made bets at Food Club or did some jobs at the Faerie Job Employment Agency? Write down your records for them at the moment. While you could try using this to further explain why you should get your account back, I feel its better used to show that this is your account. The more info the better.
2. Make sure the email you have connected to the account is an email you can still access. If not, switch it to one. NOW. 3. Make sure your Birthday is your Birthday. If not, correct it NOW. If for some reason you don't want to use your actual Birthday, just make sure you remember the one you put down. Like make it the first/last day of a month, a holiday, another date that's important to you, etc.. However just make sure its the same year as your Birthday so you don't get possibly in trouble for giving the wrong age. I think that's it, can't think what else you could do aside somehow getting to know someone on the Support Staff. Though if anyone has other tips feel free to add.
