You're not really sure how you got here- somewhere on the backstreets of Tabloid Town you must have taken a wrong turn, and now you're walking a lonely dirt road surrounded on both sides by rocks and dry grass. You're on the verge of turning around when you catch sight of a little home. In the gathering dusk, it nearly blends in with the surroundings, but the faintly glowing windows give it away. You decide to approach, hoping at least you can get some directions back to town, if not some candy for your troubles. As you get closer, you see that it really isn't a very well-maintained house. The brown paint on the wood is peeling, and there's a bush growing up against one side of the house. There's a single plastic jack-o-lantern glowing cheerily on the little porch, an encouraging sign as you knock on the unpainted door. About a minute later, the door opens, and a middle-aged man peers out at you in confusion. His eyes dart to the jack-o-lantern as he asks "Good evening... Can I help you?" After you explain your situation, he shakes his head. "Oh! I'll see what I can find. And a map! I'm called Argent, by the way. Here, just a moment- I'll be back!" He rushes through some piles of books and into a dark room. There isn't much to do while you wait- but there are a number of books piled up all over the place. Surely nobody would mind if you took a peek? There isn't much for adventure here, I'm afraid- no spooks or ghostlies. But it's fun to make Argent be social. =D

"Uh--okay, stranger!" Vampire-Wizardess!Coaster calls as Argent runs into a dark room.
Is he at least going to turn on a light in there? she wonders, then shouts "I can help you look, if you want? I'll be right in if it's okay--I'm Coaster, by the way."
Somewhat against better judgement, she edges toward the room where Argent just went, enters BAT FORM without additional warning, hangs off the inner door handle, and tries to squeak out the contents of the room--but sadly, echolocation really only responds to concrete shapes, so Coasterbat can't discern more than the basic layout anyways.

"Oh, well, nice to meet you, Argent. Uh, bye?" Celestial awkwardly waves as the man runs away into the depths of the house. She rocks back and forth on her feet as she waits, sometimes pausing to worriedly inspect the damage to her costume. Trying to distract herself, Celes picks up a book and cracks it open, beginning to read.

"Oh, thank you!" He does indeed turn on a light, a few moments later. The room he enters is also cluttered, and lined with shelves, on which are all manner of clutter- papers, a few cardboard boxes, books, and a pile of wrapping paper. He goes straight to one such shelf on the righthand side of the room and starts looking through a stack of papers. He eventually finds what he's looking for- a pamphlet with what seem to be road systems on the front, and turns around. "Is that you, miss?" he asks curiously, looking at Coasterbat on the doorknob. The book is a thick volume on the history of Dunburrow, with chapters detailing the reigns of various kings throughout the years. As you read, Argent emerges, and sets down the pamphlet. "Here, I've found the map! Now I'll just grab something from the kitchen..." Fortunately the kitchen is clearly visible from the doorway, and Argent's only there for a minute or two before he comes back with a bag of chips, a couple of chocolate bars, and a large bag of suckers. "Feel free to help yourselves, all of you."

Coasterbat shifts back to Vampire-Wizardess!Coaster form (having expected some ~*spookiness*~ afoot, but apparently the house's occupant really was just looking for a map), falling off the doorknob in the process. Regaining her composure, she thanks Argent and helps herself to a sucker, sitting down on the nearest seat and seeing if any additional visitors show up, but as she sees Celestial ( Celestial) worriedly inspecting her costume, Vampire-Wizardess!Coaster adds "So, did that house with the trapdoors and bluebirds and granola bars get you too?"

The robot dressed as a pink Thor quickly scanned through several books while waiting.
