I've noticed that there are several people here who enjoy Andrew Lloyd Webber musicals, and since I absolutely LOVE them myself and didn't see a fanclub for them, I thought I'd start one!
My favorite ALW musicals are The Phantom of the Opera, Tell Me on a Sunday, Cats, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Starlight Express, Sunset Boulevard, and Evita. I'm thrilled that Cats is back on Broadway, though I won't be able to go there to see it in the near future. I've heard it will go on tour soon, so I plan to see it then. I'm grateful that Rum Tum Tugger was kept as his normal rock star self for the Broadway revival (in a recent UK production Tugger was made into a rapping 'street cat'
- as talented as ALW is, he really doesn't know when to leave well enough alone).
