Though if Espin was placed in a standard prison.... It would make breaking out easier, thus a breakout of a larger scale for the others XD But to late, you're all stuck together XD The power of friendship will see them through! Or just...mutual goals. Either way, I'm glad they're all in the same place. xD

My hero didn't get a fan letter. ;_; Your... hero...? Oh! You mean Espin!! Yes, Miss Markovic's class did have a message for Espin, how could I forget! Left over from the anti-bullying awareness week when Miss M used Dr Espin's actions towards Miss Kingsley as a case study... No, there's not actually an Ashley in Miss M's class, this is just a picture I pulled off the internet xP
But fanmail from me - I've absolutely loved reading Espin!! He's such a well developed, fun character and I've loved seeing him be moody and self absorbed and all the rest. They say villains are the fun characters to play (theatrically speaking), and looking at Espin, I can believe it! I love that fanmail. xDD Good on you, Miss M; teaching the kids all the right lessons from this. ^^ I'll deliver this straight to Espin's cell. Daww, thank you! ^^ I'm glad to hear that; I was aiming for him to be enjoyable even while being a not-good person, so it sounds like I accomplished that. He was indeed super fun to write. Even if I enjoyed getting him hurt a little too much. xD I also really like seeing the side of things from Miss M. She seems to do good with her students and it's cool to see the ordinary citizen side of things and how they're affected while heroes and villains are duking it out! Those posts were fun to read. ^^ My hero didn't get a fan letter. ;_; *sends Espin a letter* "Do you have a degree? I don't believe you. Prove it. -K" *Espin re-uses the letter for scrap paper to scribble on.* ...Well, I liked the letter. Re: prison stuff ( June Scarlet) - Yeah, one of the primary reasons I kept him in ADMAX was because I didn't want him to lose out on interactions. Then his epilogue would have to be almost entirely self-contained and I just think it's more fun this way. My in-universe explanation is akin to Draco's in that he could have an easier time breaking out a normal prison. While not being a metahuman, Espin has proved himself to be tricky, so I think it makes sense that he's placed in a really tough prison to escape from even if he's not technically metahuman. I've put a lot of thought into this myself as I agree; I do need to justify it. Maybe I'll cover it in one of my posts so that it's there in canon.

My best reasoning to prison was the Batman prison system.
Arkham Asylum is used to house the more dangerous, tricky, metas, etc criminals. Partially in hopes to reform them... (or study them, depending on who's in charge at the time).
Blackgate Penitentiary where it tends to hole a lot of the less dangerous criminals (or the dangerous ones without their special suits, steroids (Bane), or other things that actually made them dangerous. This acted as the more normal sort of prison.
Depending on the series, some criminals would be switched around to either of these two places, but the majority of the hardcore rouge gallery of villains would be at Arkham, where the more gang related or normal people tended to be at Blackgate.
(Characters like Penguin, TwoFace, and Catwoman have all spent time in Blackgate before being relocated, and are usually shown to be residents of Arkham in most series)
So Espin being where he is does make sense.

Besides, who says Espin doesn't have superpowers? Maybe he's keeping something up his sleeve...

Dear Liou and Dju, I have just stumbled across your edited post from round eleven. Please stop with the sugary cuteness. I have a dentist appointment in a few weeks. I do not need more cavities. Sincerely, Thorn. ((in all seriousness though da'aww, I'm really liking non-hypnotised Timmy, and Junebug is the cutest name! <3 It took me a while to get Timbear, since you kind of have to say it aloud.))

Also Shinko it's been a day and I'm still not over that post about Star Prophet, so I thought I ought to say something. xD You managed to make their death seem awful and tragic even though they were only introduced in that post. That's awesome, and very sadful...but I'm wondering also, have you ever drawn or sketched Star?
I think the 'Keepsy' bit, showing the connection between Gatekeeper and Star, really helped with making the reader feel the tragedy.

I haven't, but I can. =) I need to draw Ossie too at some point, ahaha. I'm glad the post had an emotional impact even if the character was an NPC introduced right then.

While I'm in here, let me tell you some Things That Could Have Been but never happened:
* my other nebulous plan for a character would have been a very loud middle-aged woman with superstrength or geokinesis. When I learned that Thorn was my nemesis, one of my first thoughts was that this character could be Nyx's angry mum or aunt.
* plan for a villain NPC: Fangirl. She is NOT a fan of the heroes, dangit, she fights with big sharp fans!
* plan for a villain NPC: the Inquisitor, a nasty little lady with either some tech, or a psychic ability allowing her to gather information on everything around her, though mainly its flaws. She would have been a kind of Arch-nemesis for Dossier Dame, and essentially an Umbridge expy. x3
* ideas for experimenting with Zenith: making them stop a bullet train, making them stop DUDE BRO mid-run, checking what electricity does to them, landing them in hospital for long enough that their family would come in and say "DUH of course we knew you were on the show you nugget"

This thread has been moved to the general splatterboard- you guys can continue to chat about the game/things related to the game/aftergame in it as long as you like.
The rest of the content related to the game will now be moved to memory lane. Heads up to the folks who have reserved posts- you have until 7:30 AM EST this Friday to fill in those posts, after which point I will delete the reserves so they don't clutter up the thread.

All those sound like neat What Could Have Beens, Liou. ^^
The only other What Could Have Beens I had was what my superhero would've been like. I probably would've used my superhero with the power of invisibility. They would've had no other powers, so depending on their class, they would've had to be extremely creative to manipulate the environment to get the upper hand on things. (In addition to cloaking so they can just run away.)
For a tech hero, I had no idea, but then Espin ended up pretty tech-y himself, so probably something similar to that, but without all of the... terrible nature of Espin. ...Though it could be cool if he still had a scandal following him (though maybe not to the extent as what really happened in the scandal as I wrote it out, but still significant... or maybe the same, who knows?), but he instead decided to clear his name through heroic efforts. That's an AU. xD
I decided not to re-use my invisibility idea with Espin as I figured he was good enough at things as is that any useful superpower would've made him overpowered. Which is also why he's weak as he is. I figured his ability to use his know-how to do whatever tech thing he wants would be powerful enough alone.
I still like my invisibility idea, though. xD Maybe I'll use it somewhere else or something.

I did mention some of my ideas back in the early days of the chat but if we are sharing What Could Have Been, here is mine:
If I got a B-lister or, even better, an A-lister, I would have probably played a character who was a massive fanperson. Despite being a mighty hero themselves, they would have probably squeed incessantly over the other heroes around them to the point of being slightly annoying and getting in the way. I imagine their superpower would have been something really, really strong, to the point where the few times they could use it, it would definitely do a lot of damage. I also had plans to make them non-binary, writing my first non-binary character and adding to the list of non-binary characters we had in the RP.
My initial idea for a tech hero was to recycle my old Sci-Fi concept of a cyborg hero who was highly in debt to a corporation and either was trying to win enough money through heroics by itself or the corportation was sponsoring her to be on the show so she could promote their product. I scrapped the idea because I wanted to play a much more light-hearted character than what she was turning out to be, because this character was distinctly unhappy about her debt.
Tabitha...I am not sure what discarded concepts I had for her since I came up with her very, very quickly and thus ended up using what I had. She ended up being a bit less flashy and less attention-seeking than I thought she would, and she did not give out as many tickets to her shows as I thought. But she is still more or less her character concept. I did not get to show off her "umbrella splits into sword and shield" trick though because I decided that was silly and did not fit with her fighting style.
There's backstory stuff I never revealed with her parents because I cannot work out the details and don't want to work out the details and there was nowhere to put it anyway.
