Wow, June, your Nyx screams "VILLAIN!" even more than Thorn's avatar (sorry, avatar)!
Just as you've captured the badarse-fiery-zombie-horseyness that is the Nightsteed <3

Sometimes when I really just want to do something fun and not too serious, I draw my Neopets in Chibi form. Or at least, that's something I've done four times now when I've been in such a mood. There's tons of things I do to fill such a void. But enough talking, time for art! These are done in order of completion:

A concept for a Mob Boss from Cleo's past. Didn't make the final cut, but it was still fun to draw.

Original version of Ink: Inversion's first panel. That's Ink resting at the edge of the rainbow pool, reflecting on what's real.

Wrighton ArtI have a lot of art from Wrighton, so I'm going to divvy it up between a few posts. Drawing Beatrice Bizelli with her fluffy hair was a lot of fun, so I ended up with quite a few drawings of her. And of course, a colorful cast of characters was fun to add as well. PrologueAni ( Rabbit ♠ ) and Itzel ( Ginz ❤ ) just barely miss Beatrice interviewing Mr. Fox ( Draco ) in the background. Chapter 2Beatrice wakes up unexpectedly on a roof, and everyone gets to see her bedhead. Rather easy to comb out, however.
Chapter 4Beatrice works on solving a puzzle. Beatrice wonders why the windows in the Dining Hall face a rock wall. Beatrice interviews Scip ( Fraze ). Both the sketch and lineart versions here.

June Scarlet Y'know, I've been wondering this ever since I first saw the pic, but I don't remember if I ever asked x3 How did you make the rocky background to the Dining Hall pic? It looks really neat, and I'm curious how you went about it :3

Twillie I'm not sure how much of it is unique to ArtRage Studio, but the process was pretty simple, actually. The rock layer is all one layer, just with different textures applied in different colors. There's an attribute to layers in ArtRAge Studio called Canvas Texture. It affects how brushes like chalk and crayon lay down their color. I started off with a base coat of brown, and then changed the texture to some of the more extreme textures like swirly and coarse weave while also changing the color of brown. I finished it off with a brush of diagonal grain texture. This was all one layer here: I'm not sure how this would carry over to say Photoshop, though, or other art programs.

Ooh, neat! Can't say I've seen that before, at least in the limited adventuring I've done with special brushes in PS, SAI, or Clip Studio x3
I really like it, though, it looks just like heavily textured rock!

Wrighton ArtAnd now for the later chapters of Wrighton Art. I did a lot of experimenting with drawing styles towards the end here. Chapter 5It's the entire Book Club, staring down the tunnel they're about to enter. Beatrice, Hannah ( Lizica ), Dion ( Thorn ), Christian ( Moni ), Anice ( Elcie ), Itzel ( Ginz ❤ ), Aster ( Nut ), Kathleen ( Huntress ). Beatrice gets her buzzy message. Fun fact, I drew this about a month ahead of time, then waited to fill in the words when I finally got them. The full set of chalkboard puzzle solving images. Beatrice remembers something from her recent past, when she was let go from the newspaper office. Beatrice at the Dinner Party. Chapter 6Symbols and their meanings from the ship. Sharron and Beatrice share differing feelings about moving forward. A photograph of the original crew, the past versions of Beatrice and Sharron, who were sisters. EpilogueBeatrice, Ani ( Rabbit ♠ ), and Hannah ( Lizica ) eat ice cream while discussing the ship's first major trip.

Wrighton ArtFinally, all the art that went on the Out of Character thread. Quite a bit of it, it turns out. This is the last of the art I made for the roleplay! Beatrice exploring the tunnels, this pixel art also served as my signature during the event. Sharron and Rodger Bizelli, Beatrice's parents. Scip ( Fraze ) enjoy some well deserved Ice Cream. Space Cat Scip! A cross between Space Cat Simon and Scip. Holly ( Shinko ) and Beatrice discuss philosophy. One of the theories around Beatrice was that she was an Anime Magical Girl. She only had the magical hair, but I went ahead and sketched what she might look like as one anyway. This is what happens when I've stared at a puzzle for too long. I make a comic out of it. Never got the chance to explore this in the roleplay very much, but if Beatrice becomes physically injured, her hair becomes messy. Beatrice in her Halloween Costume. As an old-fashion reporter. Also possibly Bizelli in a different lifetime.

Beatrice's hair is still the best thing, in any form/shape/style.

So for my art class, we designed t-shirts to submit to a website. And mine made it into the voting stage! There's seven days to vote for it, so we'll have to see how it does. If you happen to have a Threadless account, I'd appreciate the votes. Here's the link: www.threadless.com/designs/greedy-hamsterBut here's what you really want to see. Chicory, the adorable, selfish hamster. She's a bit of a mascot for me in school, as I've used her in other projects, like an app and a website. She's named after the flower she wears. She's pretty cute, too.

Once upon a time, I had a Blue Kyrii named Nathan_Clarke. He was a Neovian Gentleman who also happened to secretly be a soul reaper. Then I created a comic series called Ink, which was based off my own pets. I filled the role of Mathew Cavus with a blue kyrii. Then I started dressing Nathan as Dr. Cavus. Then we got five pet slots, and I decided to make a new pet, Mathew_Cavus. So I had two Blue Kryiis. Blue Kyriis are my favorite, but two are a bit much. So I finally got the idea to revamp Nathan's character design, since he hasn't really been used that much at all. I morphed him into a Rainbow Bori, as that was the cheapest morphing potion, and started zapping him with the lab ray. His first color change was into a Halloween Bori, which I decided was actually the best possible thing, since halloween fits his theme, and the colors are nice. So this is Nathan now: Then I started sketching him in my sketchbook, making sure to keep his hair extra fabulous, because he used to be a kyrii, and I wanted to keep the hair fabulous. And here's the final art version: It's been quite the journey, Nathan, but you are now officially a Halloween Bori!

Haha, nothing like finally landing the design for a character after so long! Nathan looks very spiffy, I like the red accents on him contrasted against the blacks and greys :3
