 This was the Neomail I got from Country Queen when I asked her if I can interview her for the Neopian Times. It's not an exact yes, but she is interested. I'll be honest, this is much farther than I thought my idea would go. Now I need your help, guys. I don't have a lot of ideas for what to ask. To be fair, I didn't think she'd be open to the idea. This is where you guys come in. I could really use some help. So if you have some questions you want answered, you can ask me so I can ask her. Some things you need to know, though. 1) I promised Country Queen the questions would only be Neopian Times related. I specifically stated I wouldn't ask about the workings of Neo. 2) I also said that she can choose not to answer any questions. So if I do put in your question, it's not guaranteed an answer. 3) All questions will remain anonymous. 4) I may or may not add onto the questions. I want to make it interview-ish. Alrighty, so ask away! (Also, if this is the wrong place to put this, then feel free to move it, mods.) |

Rabbit ♠ I feel like this is the continuation to an ongoing discussion you were having on some other thread, but there is no context. You kinda just assume people know what you're talking about. So I'm going to ask some questions to clarify because right now I'm going "  ?." Who are you interviewing, Country Queen? About/for what? You say questions about the Neopian Times but what do you mean by that? How she runs it, her favorite issues, what? ;A; Help me I'm confused.

Sorry about that. I'm just interviewing Country Queen about the Times and it is for the Times. Like, how the Times works, how Country Queen handles everything, stuff like that.
Is that more clear? Sorry, I am not good at explanations...

How about...
If you could write for the NT, what would you make? Short story, article, comic, series?
About how many total submissions do you get per week?
After reading so many stories on Neopia, have you developed a favorite site character(s) or land?
What gets you through reading so many stories week after week? Do you just love reading, or do you have to pace yourself somehow?
Do you ever get any "joke" entries? (i.e. someone sends in gibberish or a nonsensical story)
How big a country music fan are you actually?

And I don't know about anyone else, but I actually managed to guess that Rabbit was going to interview CQ before she even announced what her mystery article was about.

Twillie asked most of the questions I was wondering. XD This is an amazing idea, though! I hope CQ answers some of them. I'm super interested in how many submissions she usually gets a week, and what her favorite characters/worlds are now. I'm sure the article will be an instant hit... it'll be like a second editorial, but dedicated specifically to the NT! I'd like to ask her what her favorite section of the NT is, but I hope it won't devolve into a, "Oh, this section is CQ's favorite, so I should just submit to this." or like, "Oh, this section is not CQ's favorite, so she probably won't like my work," etc.

That sounds promising, it's great that CQ is up for it. ^^ You folks already have a lot of good questions... I'm wondering how much site lore CQ had to study at first, in order to make head or tail of the submissions - especially stories with references to old plots, or maybe old inside jokes. Does she still run into bits of site lore that are new to her while going through stories? Were the stranger rules of the NT (no real-world technology, etc.) difficult to get used to? And I thought it was quite clear in Rabbit ♠'s first post, even though I hadn't heard of the project before. |
