I already put her in my signature, but this is Miraak. She's just a random betta I picked up at Wal*Mart, because my name is Flutter and I have a lot of bettas. IF I weren't a breeder, people might say I have a problem. (My brother already thinks I do, but he's kind of a jerk.) I don't know how many bettas I actually have. This one is kind of a big deal because this is not an adult betta. This is a baby (around five months?) that is already almost two inches long. I really don't care about what color she is (she might be red. She might be marble. She's definitely some sort of dragonscale.) This means she's a giant betta, which is awesome. I've owned a giant before- but found her dead last year and was totally devastated. I won't breed this one because I don't know what her genetics are aside from being a giant and maybe being red. But she's cool and I thought I'd share her

I hope so, too. I've got some that started out really cute and now they look like nightmare vomit. XD

Betta fish are awesome, and she's a cutie! How big do giant betta fish get?

Where a normal betta might be under two and a half inches (in body length) a giant betta can get over four inches. I had one lady that was almost as big as my rainbow shark! This little lady is settling in quite nicely- she didn't quite know what to do with flake food at first, but now she's got the hang of it. She hasn't stopped exploring and playing in her 10 gallon quarantine tank- I can't wait to see how she acts in a few weeks when she gets moved into a 55 gallon.
