I was just checking the Neoboards and it apparently can take several hours to process. XD I don't really feel like waiting around for it, lol. Still pretty clever though. I don't think it does end (though that's not going to stop people from trying).  But something interesting has been discovered. While searching through the page source if they could find all the messages that can be shown as your worth is being calculated, a prize rewarding script had been found. It doesn't specify what items, but according to the code it'll supposedly place several items into your inventory. |

I actually think it'd have been funnier if it told everyone - even the multi-billionaires that take Neopets SUPER SERIOUSLY - that our net worth was too low to be in any of the clubs XD

Looks like there's a couple more jokes in New Features (I think): a movie coming sometime next year and a 3D Virtual World of Neopia (similar to an MMORPG)

I don't even play Neo much anymore, but I would TOTALLY join Paintbrushes Aplenty! =D I love the Valentine plushies, I always kinda wished there was a PB! XD Stained glass sounds amazing too. Look at us, we're so cute! |

I'm pretty sure that's never been done with past April Fools issues. You know how that is, the most successful April Fools pranks are the ones people want to be true. |

Not exactly. Petpet Park, Petpetpet Habitats (which became Habitarium), Keyquest, and something called Tales of Neopia/World of Neopia were all planned at the same time. Tales/World of Neopia would have been the MMORPG, but never made it beyond art as far as I'm aware. It went through a couple of different versions before cancellation - one was a traditional MMORPG where you played as characters that ended up appearing in the background of the Festival of Neggs (and some of the enemies were servants of the Daily Dare's Roothless - they looked like Blumaroo goblins). Another version was the one they showed a concept of in the new features for the joke - more 'your own pet exploring neopia' sort of thing. In a way it's quite tasteless to roll out images of cancelled projects as a joke... but on the other hand this year has been leaps and bounds ahead of last year's offering, so it's not that bad. |
