I just saw it this afternoon and it is fantastic! I've been hyped to see it for a few months and it has exceeded all expectations by far! It's adorable, it's beautifully written and it was just plain fun to watch. It's likely that this will be a new favorite movie for me. ^^
What are your thoughts on Zootopia?

I... Was... Sold... On... This... Movie... Ever... Since... I saw... The... Sloth............ Trailer.
Also, this movie is actually the best reviewed film of 2016. I doubt this'll win Best Picture because of the Animation Age Ghetto, but I hope it at least gets nominated. I might see it with my friend at some point.

@fangofthedead, in my opinion, it might win Best Picture merely because it's Disney, which is still a crying shame because this movie deserves to win an award that actually means something. I saw this on Friday as soon as it came out, and then I went to go see it again the very next day! I feel like I could talk about it for hours. It's more than I could have ever dreamed-- the world is so imaginative, the characters are so true-to-life and engaging, the writing's tight, the music's catchy, and the message is socially and morally relevant. Zootopia couldn't have come out at a better time. I don't know if the intended allegory for racism will come across to all children, but this is the kind of movie that begs to be watched again and again, so I think good will definitely come out of it. The only downside: where are the birds? (I kid, I kid. Though now I wonder what kind of Zootopia citizen I would be. My friends have me at two votes for lioness & one vote for squirrel. X) )

Most Oscar nominated films are typically released between October and January (see this trope for more info) That's not actually true for Best Animated Feature, though. Of the last 6 winners for Best Animated Feature, only 2 fall in that window (Frozen and Big Hero 6). Three of the rest were June and one (Rango) was March.

IT WAS SO CUTE. I LOVED IT. The fox and the bunny... EEEEE! I did not see the final joke at the end coming. Nearly died from that one. The way they animated the eyes and stuff was a total reminder of Elsa from Frozen. Pretty sure it wasn't a coincidence that her eyes were purple either, since PURPLE EYESHADOW WHAT WHAAAAAT.

There were quite a number of Frozen references to be found in Zootopia. Frozen Easter Eggs in below spoiler: The weasel's name and how it was mispronounced. There was also one line from Chief Bogo about how not everything is a fairy tale and there were two elephant children dressed as Anna and Elsa in Tundratown.

Ooh, I've got another: At Duke's bootleg movie booth, one of the DVDs is for "Floatzen 2' & features Elsa and Anna as otters!

Aww, I didn't see the kids dressed up, but I caught all those other Frozen references!
I went to see it with a friend this afternoon, we both loved it. I laughed, I cried, but ultimately it ended on a nice happy note as all good family films should! A strong contender for my favourite family film- The LEGO Movie will always hold a special place in my heart, but Zootopia was just everything I hoped it would be and more
