Sooo, as those of you who hang around some of the various writing threads may remember, there's this Neopian Times series called Draikfang that I've been working on for a... very long time. I've now finished the first draft and worked through most of the revisions I knew needed to be made, and at this point I think it's just about ready for another pair of eyes to look over some stuff that I'm kind of iffy on regarding whether it needs changing, as well as the series as a whole.
The story is basically my take on Hanso and Brynn's (ohoho bet you didn't see that coming /shot) first artefact finding mission in the Lost Desert -- specifically, the two are joined by a few allies on a journey to retrieve the powerful Draikfang from an ancient tomb deep in the treacherous Mentu Empire. The catch? The series is, ah, 9 parts and roughly 26-27k words long >_>; Buuut if you don't mind the length and think the story sounds interesting, perhaps you could give me a hand?
Alternatively, if there's anyone who's interested in giving feedback but doesn't have the time/patience to do so for a longish series like this, would you mind just looking at the first part? For some reason that part in particular has been giving me no end of trouble in the "I feel like this bit here is weak/unnecessary/not a big enough grabber but it might be fine and I can't tell for sure" department, so having someone just take a look at part 1 would still be a big help.
