Off-beat art and comics that would never live to see a day in the NT (as well as a few that might). I mostly just draw plot characters. Because everybody loves plot characters. ∠( ᐛ 」∠)＿ Enjoy! To start off, here’s the second and third parts (all part of the same first page) of a comic I was hoping to have ready in time to end on the 700th issue, but will most likely start on or run through the 700th issue instead (if it even gets in). They both look best at 200% (for the details). I might try to repost them as larger images later, but here are the sizes that fit the NT limit: The plot is: there really isn’t one, I just wanted to remind everybody that Curse of Maraqua, Lost Desert Plot and The Darkest Faerie are all celebrating their ten year anniversaries this year. *throws confetti* |

Almost! ;_; I know I'm pushing it really close now and it'll be sheer luck if CQ decides to include it in the 700th issue, but if not, I'll just submit it again later. (: So if she likes it, it will be in the NT someday!
And if not, I'll just post it here. xD

A thumbnail for a short winter story:  Annnd I think I like making thumbnails more than I like actually writing/drawing the stories they go with. \.__./ And on that note, I am going to try to write a short story before starting that series I signed up to write for the collab ahahaha. Why. So that will also mean not a whole lot of art (and definitely no comic series plotting) while I work on those. However… as I said, I really enjoy making thumbnails, so I might be open to drawing a few for our fellow authors here (just to give me some sort of art to work on while I attempt to write.)  Anyway, if I do decide I have the time for it, I will make a thread for it in the Requests & Trades board! Of course, if you are interested just make you have a solid idea of what you’d like the thumbnail to contain, exactly (and references, if necessary/you have any). I sincerely doubt whether or not there is an artist currently tasked with drawing new thumbnails for the NT, so I think this would be a fun way to add a few more to JS’s database! And now I’m going to use this space to ask an NT-related question instead of just making a new topic like I probably should: Does anyone happen to know if adding images to series/short stories is allowed? I know it’s fairly common in articles, but I’m not sure on the other two, and I’d like to know because... reasons. :0 Really obvious reasons. xD |

I know it’s fairly common in articles, but I’m not sure on the other two, and I’d like to know because... reasons. :0 Really obvious reasons. xD I think so, yeah, at least I remember having the ambition to illustrate my 11-part NT series (a project that never came to fruition because laziness and impatience) and I was told that you can insert links to the images you want to insert into your text and the NT editor should upload them. Of course, this was about four years ago. I'd say neomail nt_editor to ask CQ and see what the procedure is now that JumpStart has taken over. |

Sending a neomail to CQ is the fastest way to get it done! she responds to them super quickly... like within a day, if it's over the weekdays, and by monday if it's sent over the weekend. ^.^ |

I know I've read a short story the person illustrated themselves, I don't remember when it was or the name, but it was about these 'pets who were in a reality show or something, and they were all young adult females. To cite an example I can link to, I did this article, and illustrated it: www.neopets.com/ntimes/index.phtml?section=558660&week=634I know you can just link the image, but I'm picky, so I actually did the coding part too, I centered it, put it on a petpage to test it out and show it off, and then I took that exact coding, minus the paragraph coding, and substituted square brackets for the angle ones. What I'd love to know is if we would be allowed to code in floats, which basically allow text to wrap around an image, instead of forcing it to be in between a break. It'd take a bit of CSS to do, though, which is why I'm not sure it'd be allowed. |

Oh, gosh thanks for the replies! Celestial and Zoey- Yes, I will definitely NM CQ to be sure! Though I might hold off just until next week, since I already sent her a question on Monday about comic thumbnails and I don't want to bother her too frequently haha. xD It's so great that she is there to help answer questions like these, though! :> June Scarlet- AHH, that article was great!! And hey, when I do NM her I will ask if floats would be allowed (maybe if the user coded it themselves?), because I was actually thinking about including them... I will let you know what she says either way! |

Will The Darkest Faerie fanart ever end?! Probably not. //sweats and stares nervously at userlookup  So I made two versions of this but I think I like this first one better. So it’s been… a while! But I have some new art, all of it done in the past 2-3 days (because it’s the only time I’ve had to sit down and draw in what feels like months. ;_; )  An art trade I finished recently. It was supposed to be under an hour, and I think I managed it, just barely. D;  Plot characters in modern clothes? .__.  The inner shipper in me is strong all of a sudden idek. |
