Long overdue, but here's a bit of stuff to see their scale!
Edit: I added in Ash as well!

The real question is why did I do this to myself. I drew all of my rp-ing OCs. x-x Draik Flanngo Artemis "Alter" Artemis Ash RC (Rita) Quassa Hazel

So this started off as a prompt, but I wanted to build onto it and take it a tad bit further! Presenting, "draw a bird". Drawn by Ash, Flanngo, and Artemis. I wanted to explore what their "artistic abilities" were and how each one of them would approach the subject and prompt differently! Ash (bottom left) would take the more realistic/scientific approach. Given his background in medicine he's more used to seeing work represented formally like that. He isn't an artist directly, but he's done enough technical drawings of machinery and of anatomy to have some sense of where to start. Naturally there would still be mistakes in his work, with subjects he hasn't had a chance to study yet in detail, but he has a general understanding of things from memory. Flanngo (top middle) would try to bring liveliness and energy into it! She'd use bold and confident strong strokes, choosing to represent things flatly and in almost a sticker-like fashion. For her there's more to it then just the subject, so she'd add all sorts of things along the sides as well, usually small shapes and such to add more to the work. She'd add colours, if able, but she thinks that shading just makes her work look messy - once again a very strong emphasis on boldness, lines, and shapes. Artemis (bottom right) lacks the coordination and finesse compared to others. He doesn't really have a dominant hand anymore so it's a mixed bag on whether he chooses to draw with his left or right hand. The results are usually similar. There isn't tentativeness to his strokes, per-say (due to his lower patience he wouldn't sketch things out first like Ash), but he's also unlikely to erase a mistake if he sees one. He prefers to just build on top of it or around it, sometimes leading to very cluttered and scribble-like work. He has only a basic gist of the subject similar to that of a child's memory, which can be attributed to lack of practice and attention being paid. If someone were to sit down with him and actually make him think about the subject (for example, getting him to use his own wings as reference) he'd be able to do less rushed work. In a sense he is aware of the subject's details but just doesn't have the grasp on how to represent it. (I almost lost it while drawing Artemis' part because it is WAY too much fun. He needs to draw more, really.)

Presenting “Math Class Final”, with Artemis, his math teacher, and Hal. Think of this as like deleted scenes from the comic, ahaha.

WELL I mean it was about time. Now you all actually know what the heck is going on with these two coats, ahaha. Put them on default mannequins. Art’s clothing doesn’t exactly fit properly, the brown one at least is a bit too big for him. And here we see the revelation in which everyone realizes just how LONG all of his coats are and how…maybe impractical they are (he trips over the backs). Wing slit placement is subject to change, i’d like to figure out how much space he needs for those.

A special undertaking, for a very special bird, for a special place, for a special memory.
On the story level, this piece means a lot on a personal level and i'm hoping this is a nice tribute to this place.

Puberty came real late for this kid but don’t think for a moment that it didn’t absolutely punch him in the face when it did. (But seriously everything age 16-21 for him is puberty hell and 20-30 is just ahaha body hell as he adjusts to his "job". Yeahh.)

LOOK AT THIS SMALL CHILD.
Boy is it fun to let loose and do rough outfit concepts and stuff in different styles.
Tossing around ideas for a modified Artemis for this rp group…looking at what he might like to wear.
So much research on 19th century Korea, help me please.
(True old school Alter fans will see a reference in that “coat” there, ehhe.)
But yeah, I tried to pick some traditional types of clothing that fit him, and add to it to make it fit the rp world. Still wanted it to have his “feel” to it, so there’s hints of Artemis and Alter in the design.
Right one is just a rough sketch, left is what i’m thinking he’d change into given his opportunity to pick his own clothing.
Dunno if the waist or neck “sash” whatever thing should have his usual tail ends to it.
Also, gotta pick colours. And maybe an embroidered back design? Thoughts on anything?
