Well, what I can say is that they have really handled the lag well and, say what you want about the CC, I enjoyed it. And thank goodness for CQ. She's terrific! So despite my complaints, I do give credit to Jumpstaff for making progress where they have and I do think they can turn things around. It might take longer than many people are used to waiting, but I do commend them for trying. And listening. They seem to be doing a lot better at that. (And that support staffer... Tina? I think is really on the ball. She replies really quickly when you have questions).

I didn't talk about this yet. I don't know why.
It is outrageous that the Userlookup Spotlight was given to someone who stole a premade, I'll be the first to say that. However, I do applaud them for fixing the mistake they made. Should this mistake have happened? No, but at least they realized their error and fixed it up. I think this might serve as a bit of a wake up call for JS, about how they should maybe take better care of the site.

JS IS watching the glitch threads on the help boards. Twice now, when my pet was glitched into premium limbo and when I posted about the missing clothes from my dream giveaway wish the issue was solved very quickly after I posted about it On a note of praise, WE ARE GETTING NON-NC WEARABLES AGAIN. This makes me very happy. Some of them are even for all pet types, which are the best kind possible. On topic with the art gallery removals, I was discussing them with the KILLers yesterday and Neon pointed out that with the avatar fixed avatar hunters who can't draw might have resorted to desperate actions.

That doesn't mean actual artists deserved to have their artwork removed. I agree that there is probably some automated system in place when no one is in the office where a certain number of reports warrants a take-down, so maybe that's something JS can look into next? I do give JS a pass on keeping a system like that in place, though, because I'm not sure if they're aware yet (well, they probably are now, but they probably weren't when they created the BC avatar) how ruthless and entitled avatar collectors can get. Such a system would have made sense in the past, since the BC starts on Friday afternoon and most artists are pretty good at recognizing stolen artwork. It should probably be reconsidered/reworked now, however. I do agree that they are doing a good job of listening to us and responding to legitimate complaints (considering that was one of the community's major complaints with the old TNT). ^^

I want to see more from the staff myself, so I sent this to the editorial just now:
I hear that they tend to answer questions many people ask, so if other people want to make a similar requestion (request + question), maybe we'll get another step in the right direction.

Credit to CQ for trying to explain the spotlight process so much... but recently there have been people rejected under scenario 2 (pre-made with credit) when what they have submitted is scenario 1 (self made, help with credit). In some cases putting credit seems to get you rejected even if that credit is just for help.

So for some reason Food Club didn't conclude this round. I still have my bets and the previous round results are yesterday's. Please don't tell me the script is broken...
In other news, Daily Trivia has been repeating the same question for I think 4 days in a row now and the site seems to be up and down.

I think the Food Club thing is because neo went down when the script was meant to run - has happened before. Can't remember if it runs the same script again tonight or if it counts as lost bets though.

Jury's still out on whether the repeating daily puzzle is intentional or not but regardless of that, it's awesome and had bloody better stick around. The repeating puzzles have made me actually add the page to my dailies for the first time in 12+ years. In the past, I didn't find playing the thing to be worth it because half the time the question was too obscure to immediately know the answer and digging around for the answer for the couple hundred NP of the reward got filed under "uuuugh too much wooork". Right now the question changes just often enough to balance novelty with rewarding.
...oh man, the random polls probably haven't updated since before I started on the site, though, seeing how the options for "with operating system do you use to play Neopets" include Win2000 and Win98. I'm pretty sure I first made my account on WinXP.

Can't remember if it runs the same script again tonight or if it counts as lost bets though. Ah, makes sense. I still have my bets so it only runs once and it if it misses it goes onto the next day. I suppose good for anyone who missed putting in their bets for this round (it's also not a bad round to make bets if things go as planned). I'm pretty sure I first made my account on WinXP. I think how it works if that it's a queue array that questions are loaded in, probably even planned on a calendar. When the queue runs out, it just repeats the last question. Also, JN usually has the answer up after I say 10 minutes the start of the new day. Now personally I like trying to answer the question myself, it may take me to a place on the site I didn't know or forgotten about like a Neopedia article. Or maybe it brings attention a certain item. However if I'm in a rush or don't feel like digging around they always have the answer (and I'm sure on the Neoboards there's a Daily Trivia thread). As for the poll, I'd go for "Other Windows".

I'm pretty sure I first made my account on WinXP. That makes me feel old, since I started playing Neopets on Windows 95 (98 was out at the time, but we didn't upgrade our OS until XP) I've been playing Neopets longer than some of my fellow players have even been alive.

Not sure if serious about me not being serious; why would I be joking about this? o_Õ (I occasionally use Android as well ) The old polls strike me as something that was released all at once way-back-when, used for some time and then never updated again, which is kind of a shame considering the potential they hold. Stuff like "what should we work on next?" and "what would you like to see more of?" would nicely come in handy right now, plus provide some good ol' democratic data for everyone who'd otherwise complain about the team not working on something else instead. But, y'know, that probably stopped being viable back when Neopets grew big enough. ...oh man, the random polls probably haven't updated since before I started on the site, though, seeing how the options for "with operating system do you use to play Neopets" include Win2000 and Win98. We-ell, I come from the land where technology lagged behind the rest of the world for a long time. We got a very brief period of Win 95-98-ME-2000 before XP became the household thing and before that point, most people wouldn't have had much household computer access. For the same reason, VHS tapes are nearly entirely unknown here. For maximum fridge horror, my pets are all somewhere between 13-11 years old in real time. If we assume that Lupes have a similar lifespan to wolves or large dogs then Shad is turning 12 in a week and should also be dead by now.If we assume human lifespan then they're all obnoxious tweens.
