Speaking of the Beauty Contest, some entries are being removed. Not just one, but two of my artist friends' entries have been pulled. I could possibly see one, but the other looked like a Poogle, like it was supposed to.
Yet the human with Aisha ears (not even the long ones) is still in it. Grr...

Not to mention that Rokkaku(sp) was warned for voicing his anger out about artwork being pulled. |

That's absolute trash.
I don't know what astounds me more. The level of cronyism (it's never just ONE person reporting when an entry gets pulled) on Neopets, or the lengths to which desperate, untalented people go to eliminate the competition when they could have put that time into a solid entry that stood a good chance of placing on its own merits.

How hard is it to not do something that stupid? For some of these nitwits, pretty hard. Kiko is down to 3 entries. A lot of people had their entries taken down. The Beauty contest chat is in an uproar about it, too. Long-term BCers had their entries taken down for not "looking like" the species. So ridiculous. |

Well, that's certainly a great way to drive more people away from the site. I'm guessing that those BC veterans will not be returning after this debacle.

Quite a few of them are going to be going on a BC hiatus (and I tried to encourage them to do NT stuff during that time, so we'll see). I think a bunch will come back, but they won't be around for a bit. |

Many others are considering entering deliberately bad art for every single one of their pets ( good enough to make it and tell what species it is, but the message is clearly "I'm not going to pour obscene amounts of time into a picture if there's a good chance it will wind up being removed for no good reason" ) |
