She smiled cheerily. "I just saw three lovely young men here and I thought I'd get to know them. You all seem like interesting company," she curtsied, though it was clear she was only imitating a gesture she had seen from afar. "Nice to meet you all." Hector smiled widely and gormlessly at the mention of his name and gave her a wave. "Nice to meet you too, miss. I'm sure you're really nice and you're really pretty but Issie will object if I go off with another woman so I should not upset her!" In response to this, the young woman laughed and rested a hand lightly on his shoulder. "She doesn't have to know, does she? This is your last chance and isn't a bachelor party meant to be a last celebration of bachelorhood?" she murmured, lowering her head closer to his. The ginger knight pondered this for a second before shaking his head vigorously. "Nope!" he replied, his smile growing bigger. "You're nice but Issie is nicer and sweeter and prettier and-" "Would rip both your heads off if she saw this display," Lindsey said with a loud laugh, stumbling in and placing a tray of whisky glasses down on their table before flopping into his chair and shakily picking up one of the glasses. "There's two each there of a dram in every glass. It will save us the trip!" The young woman raised an eyebrow before smiling and lifting up a hand to ruffle Hector's hair. "What a shame, your future wife sounds like quite a firebrand. I wouldn't want to get on her bad side," she remarked and stepped away from him lightly, going over to Lindsey. He was about to swing back one of his glasses but stopped, frozen, when she put her arms around his shoulders. "But I'm sure you must be quite lonely, watching your friend get married without having a girl of your own to cuddle..." It was not long, however, before he broke into hysterical laughter. When he had finally stopped, wiping a tear away, he turned to Seamus and Hector, grinning widely. "Why don't any guys ever do this?! I never had a man come up to me and make such comments. Why don't they do that? Am I just ugly or something?" She frowned, confused. "Guys..?" Lindsey rolled his eyes and snorted with laughter before lolling his head back. "Sorry, lady, you're barking up the wrong tree. Maybe I should wear a sign for your convenience that says "I prefer men" but there you go: I prefer men." "Oh," the disappointment in her voice was almost palpable. "Just my luck: one's getting married, the other is gay..." her eyes acquired a mischievous glint. She tore herself away from Lindsey and wandered over to Seamus, putting her hands on his shoulders. "Are you also going to disappoint me?" Married, gay...one out of three isn't bad, right?

Seamus had eagerly taken one of the tankards Lindsey presented, and was drinking the fiery whiskey eagerly. He jumped a little when the young woman put her hands on his shoulders, but then he giggled softly. "Ye dinnae have tae worry aboot that. I'm perfectly single, 'n what's more I like women just as much as men." He leveled a smirk at Lindsey and quirked an eyebrow. "So dinnae go complaining aboot how nobody ever talks tae ye nice, Lin. I already told ye that ye were nice lookin'. Then again I suppose my opinions dinnea count, hm? Maybe I'm the ugly one." He glanced back at the young lady and smiled widely. "I guess I must be, hm? Last choice 'n all that. Nae that I'm nae used tae it. You however are a very pretty lady. So ye definitely have my attention." Clumsy drunken flirting, though Seamus is a bit put out to be the last choice. As he usually is, poor guy.

Lindsey almost choked on his own drink at Seamus's remarks, collapsing on to the table as he doubled over with laughter. "If you're ugly, Seamus, then I'm a fish person. And I appreciate you saying I'm good-looking, whenever you did that at this point during the evening. I'm just saying," he tipped his glass back, taking a shot of the whisky before exhaling. "I'm just saying that men never come to anybody in bars and act all flirty like she's doing. Unless they do to you, in which case whose the ugly one now?" "You're not ugly, Lin!" Hector exclaimed, slamming his fist down on the table. "And not you, Seamus! You're both very pretty and I love you both!!" This earned another round of laughing from Lindsey, prompting him to smack Hector on the shoulder. "Not like that, you dork, at least I hope not or the Duchess will skin us." While this was going on, the woman did her best to ignore the two knights, instead wrapping her hands tighter around Seamus's shoulders and smiling. "I am sorry I left you for last, but they say that that's where the best is saved for. And you certainly are the most eligible one out of you three, Seamus" she said in a sweet voice. "'m Fionnula Black. It's definitely very nice to meet you, dear," she glanced around at the three men, taking in their clothes and in particular the knight badges on Lindsey and Hector. "So, are you three from the castle?" Lindsey is very offended, Hector loves everyone and mystery lady finally gives a name.

Seamus nodded brightly. "We sure are. These twa are knights- Ah'm nothin' so glorious Ah'm afraid. Ah work as bookkeeper for House Stallion. Keeping their accounts, basically." He smirked at Lindsey and Hector, adding, "Which means Ah see both of their paychecks every other week come right 'cross my desk." He took a long pull of his whiskey, then set the mug down with a laugh. "It's all fun 'n games until yer friends with the fella who knows exactly how much booze yer good for, eh boys?" Shrugging and lolling his head a bit to get a better look at the woman, Seamus added, "Ah'm from Jennet originally, prolly ye've never heard of it. It's tae the east of here, by the sea. But Ah came tae Destrier tae take this job with the Stallions." He gave a genial grin. "So what aboot ye, Missus Black? What port does a pretty lass like yerself call home?" Seamus drunkrambles and asks Fionnula where she's from.

"Ach, well, nothing as exciting as you lads. I don't work for House Stallion or come from some exotic faraway place by the sea" Fionnula let go but only long enough to pull a chair over, positioning it close to him and sitting down. "I was born here in Destrier and I am currently employed as a glover's apprentice," she gave Seamus a broad smile. "So if anything, at least I'm good with my hands." Hector, meanwhile, grinned widely at Seamus, ignorant of the fact that he was trying to talk to the young woman who had approached. "That's okay! We all buy rounds for each other, that's how friends are supposed to be! We drink, we have fun and we enjoy ourselves!" he raised his cup up before taking a large swig. "Ah, yes, of course, ever the optimist," Lindsey laughed, bringing his own cup against the bottom of Hector's and clinking it. Or at least he tried to: he missed it by a good few inches. However, he did not notice this before putting his cup down and winking conspiratorially at Seamus. "But ya know, since next week, we can just get him to buy all our drinks, regardless of paycheck. Doofus is going to have the deep pockets of Stallion and the Duchess to get his money from." The ginger knight tore his cup away from his lips and stared at Lindsey, blinking several times. "...are we going to take Isabelle drinking with us and get her to buy us drinks? Or his Grace?" Lindsey collapsed on to the floor from his chair, laughing loudly. Several bar patrons stared at him while others did everything in their power not to stare. Fionnula was among the latter category, keeping her eyes pointedly on Seamus and a smile fixed on her face. "Your friends are very...rowdy for Stallion knights, I must say." They're all very drunk, Fionnula.

"Just havin' fun, 's nae harm in it," Seamus replied blithely. "I'm afraid we all may be a wee blootered. Bachelor party 'n all! But they're good knights." He nodded decisively before taking a pull from his tankard. "Knights is human tae, y'ken? 'Sides the ginger idjit over there must have something going fer 'im, if the Duchess 'erself is marrying 'im." He chortled, then gave Fionnula a startled look. "Say, yer awful dry at the mo'. Would ya like somethin' tae drink? If yer gonna join the party." Seamus' attention span is not very long. XD Also he's bad at flirting.

A look of sudden realisation came across the young woman's face. "Wait-him?" Fionnula blinked, staring at Hector, who noticed her looking and gave her a cheery wave. " He's the one the rumours talked about, the commoner knight who is marrying the Grand Duke's daughter?" Lindsey snorted, aiming a rough clap at Hector's back. "He is! And the comments about the Duchess, Stallion's deep pockets or his doofy talk of an "Issie" didn't tip you off how..?" "I was...distracted," Fionnula batted her eyelashes at Seamus. "It explains a lot of things though: why you're out here drunk out of your minds..." she giggled. "You don't tell anybody I tried to flirt with him then." The young woman brushed her hand against Seamus's solider. "You're sweet too, Seamus. Perhaps I would like a drink, though nothing strong like you boys are having," she smiled. "Just a mug of ale will do me fine." Hector, meanwhile, dug his elbow into Lindsey's side, causing the dark-haired knight to recoil. "What did you do that for?" he shouted loudly. "You could have knocked me over." "Sorry, Lin!" Hector whimpered before his face burst into a huge grin. "But don't you think they are sweet together? And Seamus said he didn't have anybody..." Lindsey burst out laughing. "You going to try to set them up?" he wiped a tear from his eye and shrugged, though in his drunken state his arms flopped upwards along with his shoulders. "Sure, why not?!" "Great!!" Hector shouted. "...how do I do that?" Best. Idea. Ever.

Seamus snorted at the two knights. "I cin hear ye, ye know!" Turning his attention back to Fionnula he grinned widely. "'N sure, ale it is!" He took another swig of his own drink before digging into his pockets for some coins. Once he was certain he had the amount he needed, the bookkeeper moved to stand, but promptly lost his balance and almost knocked over his chair. Managing to brace himself on the table at the last minute, he laughed breathlessly. "Oops. I'm nae as graceful as either of the knights at the best o' times but tonight seems tae be worse than usual." The bookkeeper pushed himself upright again, looking embarassedly at Fionnula. "Dinnae mind my flipper feet, lets go get yer ale. Ye have any favorites?" Seamus does A+ job making himself look like a drunk moron.

"Seamus!!!" Hector gave a loud cry as he saw Seamus fall to the floor. Only pausing to take a chug out of his cup, he unsteadily lifted himself up to his feet using the table and rushed over to the bookkeeper's side. His stride, however, was wobbly at best, and by the time the knight got to him, Seamus was already on his feet. Even that could not discourage Hector, who as soon as he got to Seamus's side, threw his arms around him in a massive hug. "Are you okay?" the ginger knight whimpered. "Are you hurt?! I hope you're not hurt," he drew back and took a blearly look at him. "No, you're not hurt!" a huge grin spread across his face and he hugged the bookkeeper closer. "You're going to impress a girl, you can't be hurt! Now, as you said, let's go get her that ale." Behind them, Lindsey exploded into laughter, clutching his forehead. "What are you doing, you ginger doofus?" he called out to him once his fit had died down. Hector looked back, his blue eyes totally innocent save for the drunken look in them. "I'm helping!" he exclaimed with the enthusiasm of a small child. "If Seamus can get her some ale and do it without stumbling, he might impress her and she'll go out with him! And he'll be happy! Don't you want Seamus to be happy, Lin?" The other knight pondered this logic, running it through his drunken mind before snorting and standing up, walking over to them. Hector had already occupied the bookkeeper's left side and his arm was around his shoulder so Lindsey went around to his right, hooking his arm around Seamus's waist. "Let's go then!" the ginger knight called out and started towards the bar. "For Seamus and his lady-love!" Fionnula, meanwhile, had been watching this display, her face a mixture of amusement and confusion. Finally, she rolled her eyes at the two knights, sitting back in her chair. "Uhh...anything you want to get me, Seamus, that will be fine," she tried to give him a sweet smile as before. "You pick." I don't think this is going to work, boys.

Seamus was flushed brilliant crimson at his friends conversation, burying his face in his hands. "Ye twah are incorrigible. Sometimes I dinnae know what tae do with ye." He trailed Hector towards the bar, adding, "Inside voice if ye want tae plot, man! Yer nae subtle at the best o' times!" As they neared the bar, the barkeeper quirked an eyebrow. "You've already finished your drinks? Oughtn't you slow down a bit?" I totally didn't forget this existed, nope. >>
Anyway! Seamus is embarrassed, and the barkeep is skeptical.

Hector smiled widely at the bartender, his face bright and earnest enough to light up the entire room, an effect ruined by the drunken glaze in his eyes. "No! I'm getting married, Seamus is going to get a girlfriend and Lin...Lin will be fine. This is the best day ever so why shouldn't we have all the drinks?" he swung around, wildly gesturing at the entire room. "Drinks for everybody, on me!" Lindsey burst out laughing before smacking Hector around the head. "Are you out of your mind? Can you even afford that?" "Why not?" the red-headed knight smiled widely. "Drinks for everyone, including you and Seamus and his lady!" The other knight blinked and then laughed again, leaning on the bar. "Fine, fine, but it's your own money we're wasting," he grinned at the barkeep. "Ale for the entire tavern then, but he's paying. Or the Duchess can, I don't really care as long as it isn't me." There was a loud, excited squeal from Hector as he wrapped his arms around Seamus in a massive bear hug. "I just want you to be happy, Seamus! I am so happy and it feels so good and you're my friend so I want you to have this happiness too!!!" he tried to whirl them around the room but swayed dangerously, forcing him to stop in his tracks but still keeping the bookkeeper in his grip. "This is the best day!!! You're going to find love!!!" Hector is far, far too enthusiastic for his own good.

"Hector, did ye e'en bring that much money along?" Seamus asked with a laugh. His face was an even brighter shade of red now, and he nudged his friend's shoulder. "Dinnae waste money ye dinnae have, lad." "I, er... the duchess?" the barkeeper echoed, looking extremely confused. Then the man seemed to dismiss it, shrugging as if to decide this was drunken rambling like any other. "If you want to buy a round for the whole bar, I'll need to see the color of your money first." "Put it on his tab," Seamus joked, earning an eye roll. "I don't think so," the barkeeper retorted. I guess this place doesn't do tabs. =D Also Seamus appears to have forgotten briefly about Fionnula, she probably should've picked a mark less smashed.

"Oh, money? Sure, I have money!" Hector exclaimed brightly and put his hands in his pockets, beginning to dig around. His tongue went into his cheek as he focused, but in the end, all he produced were a few precious jewels which the knight held out to the barkeep proudly. "Will this do?!" he proclaimed loudly. The man critically examined the money in Hector's hand several times, his eyes flickering from the jewels to the ginger knight several times before he finally asked "Are you mocking me?" "Nope!" Hector shook his head vigorously, so much so that he lost his balance, only saving himself from a nasty fall by grabbing the corner of a nearby table. "Drinks for everyone!!" The bartender rolled his eyes, folding his arms. "Look, lad, I don't know if it will get through to you but that will only be enough to buy your friends a few rounds. You'll only serve a quarter of the pub with that." "Okay!!" the ginger knight lifted up his head. "Who wants free drinks?!!!?" Mutters and murmurs rose up from all around the crowd, followed by shouts of "me" or "me" or "aye" or "here". However, as the din grew louder and more persistent, cries of "no, I said it first" or "no, you've already had enough" began to rise up. They gradually became louder and more overwhelming before dissolving into grunts and incomprehensible yelling. In the corner of the pub, one man shoved another, in response to which the second man struck him in the face. Lindsey laughed, but his laughter was a lot more nervous than previous. He put his hand on Seamus and Hector's shoulders. "Let's go." Well, that escalated quickly.
