The three Frolics comics Pat and I submitted are now being held over. It feels like a weight has been finally lifted off of me. Thank you to everyone who put up with me over the last three weeks.

FINALLY! Total series count now is nine, by the way.  And I am now 13 trophies away from the great 100. (I'm pretty impressed with myself. Clearly I'm doing something right with these.  ) |

I guess I inherited izzywizard's curse because I just got completely shafted by CQ. No acceptance, no holdover, no rejection - nothing. And to make things even better the story I submitted (a week ago, mind) was meant to wrap up a story arc to clear up animosity between my characters and it was heavily holidays-themed so I can't simply resubmit my story.
I probably wouldn't be as mad if I had gotten some reply, but I guess that's asking for too much.

It sucks though- definitely agree that you should contact her to try sort it out! |

I sent in an Editorial question, at least. The last few times I've tried NM'ing CQ directly for various issues, she never responded. :/
And turns out I'm definitely not the only one who didn't even get looked at, either. In the JCW thread on Neopets, there's at least three people complaining about being skipped. I'm guessing CQ forgot the NT and was in a rush (given how there's no new series and the NT came out at 11:00 PM EST), so she just took the first few stories she saw and put them in...

Not all of the continued series have ended — it's 3 out of 5, which I admit is still a pretty concerning figure.

I'M GOING TO ENTER A SERIES, I JUST NEED TO PUT FINISHING TOUCHES (and illustrations) IN IT.
But yeah, that is a concerning number. I understand that the series isn't the most popular, either to write or to read, but that doesn't mean it can go unnoticed. Maybe CQ didn't add in a series this week because she might have felt a bit rushed to add everything in. the continued series section is getting more bare - then again, I'm not sure if that's because CQ is putting in one new series a week (possibly to make sure there isn't an empty new series section again) of there is a lack in those submissions.
Still pretty concerning. I love seeing series in the Times.

This story was rejected the last time I submitted it, so it makes me really happy to have it accepted now. Was surprised at how quickly I received the acceptance Neomail, though; I was expecting an answer the night before the next NT issue goes up.
