Help! Question about submission pattern, text formatting etc

Hello everyone! This is my first post on the boards, but I hope someone can help me anyway. 

I finally finished my five part series, that took me weeks of work. I want to clarify some questions about submitting it, so I don't spoil it doing something wrong.

• Whenever I want my text to be in italic, do I just need to insert <i> and </i>, right? Like if I was coding it myself?
• Can I ask for an especific image (from the neo database) to be my thumb image? And if so, I do that before starting the story on part one? (there is no enough space in "comments")

Well, that is it. If someone knows how long does it take for droplet to read it/accept it on avarage, I'd like to know too.
I'm pretty happy with my story, and I'm dying to see it published soon. ^_^

No, use the [] like you would on proboards, not the <>.

It varies. Like a lot. XD Sometimes she won't get back to you for weeks, sometimes she'll get back to you the very next business day. Depends on what's going on and how busy the Times is. I'd say start actually looking for it within two weeks, but it could easily be a month or more.
