Just a quick question, if anyone can help (and I hope this is posted in the right place!). I was wondering when would be a good time to submit something for the Christmas issue? I know it's a few weeks away, but I figured Droplet would be receiving a lot of submissions around this time of year. I remember seeing a few comments on the Art boards advising not to submit a picture too early for a specific pet day; I wondered if this was the same principle for the NT? Thanks guys

Christmas is usually one of the busiest Issues and typically has a LOT of articles/comics/stories in it. If you have something that you want to send in for it, I'd submit it as soon as possible.
In general, if you're aiming for a particular issue that tends to get a lot of traffic (The aforementioned Christmas, as well as stuff like Halloween or milestone issues) it's usually best to submit it 3 - 4 weeks in advance.

Agreed I sent in my Christmas-themed short story on Nov 20 and I got my 'held over' response on Dec 1st. This means now is the time to send in your articles before it's too late ^^

Also, keep in mind that the Christmas issue will be released on Dec 19th, which means if you submit later on and you get a 'too many good entries' response in a few weeks, your chances of being in the Christmas issue will be slim =/
