˚◦˚₀◦Welcome! ◦˚₀◦ You frown in confusion as you take another look at the map in your hands, before letting your gaze drift back up to the building directly ahead. The massive, rectangular structure dotted with blue circles (bubbles, maybe?) sure doesn't look like the kind of place to go for trick-or-treating or haunted shenanigans, but the map insists that this is one of the houses. Finally, you shrug and head for the big double doors at the front of the building. Free candy is free candy, after all. Upon opening the door, you are immediately greeted by a veritable sea of blue. Quite literally, in fact -- except for the floor and the side of the building you just came through, it seems that every surface is taken up by massive tanks filled with colorful sea life. Schools of tropical fish dart off to the left and right, impressive sharks swim lazily overhead, and -- is that an octopus in one of the tanks ahead? Wandering further into the aquarium, you come across what seems to be a central area. Chairs are placed around this larger "room," a table near the center holds bowls of candy and other assorted snacks, and there's a stereo off to the side playing some tunes. This room also seems to be the only one actually decorated for Halloween. "Oh, visitors! Hey there!" You spin around to find what appears to be a mermaid grinning at you through the glass of the nearest tank. You're not entirely sure how a mermaid got into the aquarium, but her voice sounds awfully familiar. "Like my Halloween house? I thought I'd try something a little different this year, so I rented out this old aquarium for the day and tracked down a little something that would let me not only dress up as, but actually be a mermaid for a while." The other forumer's smile falters for a moment as she thinks. "...or at least, I think I'm a mermaid. Might have actually turned myself into a water faerie by accident -- is there a difference between the two?" She shakes her head and grins again. "Anyway, feel free to explore or just grab some candy and hang out for a little bit! Oh, and be careful of the big puddles over in the west hall. I dunno what exactly happened there. It's certainly not a leak, at least, but when I tried to mop it up..." Her smile turns sheepish, "I, uh, kind of dripped water all over the place and made it worse." Well, looks like that's the answer to your questions about the location choice! Do you want to: Just grab your candy and go Hang out in the central room Talk to the host Take a closer look at the decorations Take a closer look at the sea life Check out the east hall Check out the north hall Check out the west hall

As soon as the catgirl came face-to-face with all the sea life, she gave a strangled, high-pitched squeak, and a whole lot of wiggling tentacles seemed to pop out of nowhere, moving along with her limbs. She ran around the room several times, flailing at all the sea creatures inside and wondering what they were doing in a house. Upon seeing the octopus, she blushed and gave it a coy wink. She was about to take a closer look at the sea life, when she spotted the mermaid.
The catgirl sprints up to the mermaid, pressing up her face and tentacles against the glass wall with a -SPLAT-.
"Hi! You're pretty! How did you put the sea in a house? Is the water nice in here can I come? ... Could you introduce me to that octopus?"
In short, she would like to talk to the lovely host.

WOW. This is a LOT of fish!
Tiger gapes as she walks through the hall, feeling like this is ironic or poetic or like that scene from Pirates of the Caribbean or something since she’s dressed as a pirate. Much to her surprise as anyone else’s, she makes it to the central room without getting lost. It’s a Halloween miracle!
Tiger is tempted to ask the host about how exactly she turned herself into a mermaid or possibly water faerie, but the forumer seems, uhm, occupied with a girl with tentacles. Remembering how the second Pirates of the Caribbean movie turned out, Tiger decides to take a piece of candy and go investigate that leak in the West wing. Er. Hall. There’s probably not a prince trapped in the form of a shark-beast or something with a piece of magical coral hidden in the West Wing. Probably not.

AVENGER PYTHON punches the air excitedly as he steps into the aquarium. This was perfect - he'd have no problem swimming with his costume on!
He grins happily at the mermaid host and taps on the glass. "AVENGER PYTHON is kind of like a male land-dwelling siren out here, you know. AVENGER PYTHON bets he could teach you a thing or two about seduction!" He proudly flexes his biceps.
"You know," AVENGER PYTHON says after a minute, "while AVENGER PYTHON did originally come here for candy, fish would totally be better for the physique! You got any beef fish? Or pork fish? Heck, AVENGER PYTHON'd even settle for some chicken fish!" He isn't sure that those things even exist - but it's worth a shot, right?

Coaster enters and, once again, some component of his costume feels a pang of nostalgia. (Probably the head this time, come to think of it. First one in a while for that one, actually.)
Nonetheless, Coaster thanks the host and proceeds to the central table, where he puts a candy in his trick-or-treat pizza-box, puts a couple snacks up the neck hole in his mask in an attempt to eat, and heads down the east hall (because it's not being as obvious as the west hall in its advertisement for EXTREME ADVENTURE)

The mermaid host can't help but giggle at the sight of the catgirl's face smooshed up against the glass, and grins when she realizes that a fellow sea-person is interested in joining her in the water. "Thanks! Um… I don’t know how the sea got here, I’m just borrowing this place. And sure!” She directs the kraken-cat-girl to a way into the tank, and starts looking around for the octopus so she can introduce them. Wow, that is a lot of water. There really isn't any sign of a leak, but there seems to be a big trapdoor at the end of the hall. Well, that's not ominous at all. Heck, AVENGER PYTHON'd even settle for some chicken fish!" He isn't sure that those things even exist - but it's worth a shot, right? The mermaid host pauses in her search for the octopus to give her new conversation partner an unsure look. "Umm... Thanks? But no thanks, I'm good." She frowns thoughtfully. "I don't have any fish snacks here, but... Why don't you see what's in the north hall? You might find that interesting." Nonetheless, Coaster thanks the host and proceeds to the central table, where he puts a candy in his trick-or-treat pizza-box, puts a couple snacks up the neck hole in his mask in an attempt to eat, and heads down the east hall (because it's not being as obvious as the west hall in its advertisement for EXTREME ADVENTURE) Denying the more obvious route of EXTREME ADVENTURE instead grants you... a swimming pool? Oh hey cool, an indoor swimming pool! Closer inspection reveals that, despite being an appropriate-but-odd choice for an aquarium, this pool is really in accordance with the theme. Not only is the bottom of the pool decorated to look like some sort of tidal pool, but the flooring around it has been replaced with a special glass-topped tank, so that fish are hanging out all around where the visitors can swim. It might be a hard thing to do in a Halloween costume, but care for a dip anyway?

"FISHIES!" Azzie runs through the door squealing, but upon getting inside she calms down. The silly grin on her face doesn't go away, however.
"Sporty, this. This is the best idea ever. And what a great costume! Look at all the fishi- I'm sorry did you say puddles?"

Still somewhat covered in pumpkin gunk, Lizica carefully wipes her shoes on the welcome mat outside the aquarium before entering and staring around in awe.
"This...this is really cool," she finally says to the host. She lets her gaze rove around until finally she bends down to relax and enjoys getting a closer look at the coral and smaller fish in a nearby tank while munching on some of the snacks. She wonders absently if there's a brochure somewhere she could read up on to learn more about the fish she's watching.

SO. MUCH. WATER.
Cassie sheds her parka and winter clothes, leaving her in a very modest bathing suit. "WATER. HEY. HEY. HEY!" She frolics like a small child.
"LET'S GO SWIMMING!"
She seems to have forgotten about her candy. It is most unfortunate.

Coaster sets down his pizza-box and enters the pool fully-clothed, then splashes around for a while, watching the fishies, rinsing away a bit of the tomato, and after a while feeling a little lonely, so he gets back out, dries himself off through forbidden sorcerous methods that do not involve towels or rational explanation, and heads into the north hall, thanking Sport--err, Splashy and taking another snack on the way through.

"FISHIES!" Azzie runs through the door squealing, but upon getting inside she calms down. The silly grin on her face doesn't go away, however. "Sporty, this. This is the best idea ever. And what a great costume! Look at all the fishi- I'm sorry did you say puddles?" The mermaid host (aka Sporty) blushes and beams. "Thanks! I'm so glad you like it!" She then nods and points toward the west hall. "Yup, down thataway. I think Tiger went that way earlier; maybe you can catch up with her?" "Sweet! A clue!" Tiger fist-pumps. It would be silly to come all this way and then turn around. Tiger opens the trapdoor and peers inside. So long as it doesn't look immediately deadly, she heads down to investigate. The trapdoor is awfully heavy, but with a little work you manage to get it open. It's too dark to see much down there, but as you head downward you begin to hear a heavy rumbling sound. Now might be a good time to find the lightswitch, or some other way to get a better view... Back in the main area, Sporty is pretty much grinning like an idiot now. "Thanks!" she says again. Looking into the tank, you see: It's a school of blue tang! A nearby plaque says that these fish are members of the surgeonfish family and like to eat algae. SO. MUCH. WATER. Cassie sheds her parka and winter clothes, leaving her in a very modest bathing suit. "WATER. HEY. HEY. HEY!" She frolics like a small child. "LET'S GO SWIMMING!" She seems to have forgotten about her candy. It is most unfortunate. The mer-host can't help but giggle in response to your infectious excitement. She points toward the east hall. "The swimming pool's down that-a-way! I think Coaster -- Oh, never mind, it looks like he's coming back." Coaster sets down his pizza-box and enters the pool fully-clothed, then splashes around for a while, watching the fishies, rinsing away a bit of the tomato, and after a while feeling a little lonely, so he gets back out, dries himself off through forbidden sorcerous methods that do not involve towels or rational explanation, and heads into the north hall, thanking Sport--err, Splashy and taking another snack on the way through. The swimming pool is exquisitely detailed and pleasantly warm, although you almost swear you felt something brush against your foot at one point. But the bottom of the pool really is just a well-decorated floor, so you decide not to worry about it for now. As you head further down the north hall, the area begins to get progressively darker. This is especially true of the surrounding tanks, which are eventually so darkened that you can't easily see their inhabitants. Just as you start to wonder if this place has its own version of ghost-themed EXTREME ADVENTURE, one of the fish finally swims up close to the glass. It's a Pacific viperfish! It seems you've found a deep-sea portion of the aquarium, if this guy is anything to go by. A nearby plaque says that these fish can't even close their mouths around their oversized teeth, and use lights on their bellies to attract prey.

Coaster makes increasingly silly faces at the viperfish and its comrades for a while (though most of it is lost under the velociraptor mask), then looks for the largest and most terrifying fish in the room to see if he can think of a way to weaponize it.

Cuddles with sea-people are a bit slimy, but nice, as you can float around in the water! The arrival of the speedoman distracts the catgirl, too, from the search for the octopus; she notices just how many people have arrived in the house, and flails her tentacles at them excitedly, swimming in circles around the mermaid host. After squeezing the host one last time, the catgirl decides to swim back out of the tank to explore the house itself - creating more water puddles on her way, oops. Before picking one of the hallways, she stops to admire the decorations.

Coaster makes increasingly silly faces at the viperfish and its comrades for a while (though most of it is lost under the velociraptor mask), then looks for the largest and most terrifying fish in the room to see if he can think of a way to weaponize it. Surprisingly, many of the more terrifying fish in the room seem to be fairly small. As you continue looking around, though, you suddenly come across this big guy: It's a frilled shark! According to a nearby plaque, these fish are considered "living fossils" and generally live up to 5,000 feet below the water's surface. Looking closer at the shark, though, it seems to live up to its name and doesn't look very weaponizable. Ho hum -- it would have been pretty hard to get him out of the tank anyway. However, your search is not for naught, for despite not gaining any fishing companions you do manage to come across something that might come in handy: You got the sawtooth sword! That's weird -- sawtooth sharks aren't even deep-sea fish. And what the heck is this thing doing lying around anyway? The tentacular catgirl grabs a bunch of snacks and dives into the mermaid's tank to cuddle her while munching on candy. Before picking one of the hallways, she stops to admire the decorations. The mer-host enjoys your cuddles. Yay for sea friends! Taking a closer look at the decorations, you find that they seem to mostly consist of a mixed undersea/Halloween theme. The combination of spooky and oceanic is bound to make for some... interesting design choices. Is that garland supposed to look like Cthulu heads?...Well okay then.
