As you walk near a forest, you glance down and can't help but notice the tiny little footprints on the ground. They seem to be widely varied, some look human, some not, and some you can't even tell if a print came from feet. Huh. You notice they all seem to be going in the same direction, which is down the dirt path into the forest. Curious, you decide to follow the footprints.
You don't have to travel very far before you first see a tiny sign: “Come this way, friend!” it says. Odd. You follow the path some more, seeing some very similar signs. You only have to walk for a few minutes before you turn a corner and see another slightly-larger-but-still-tiny sign standing before a large clearing.
“Welcome to Glimmer Village!”
You peer into the clearing and have to step closer. At first glance, it seemed to be cluttered with litter, but as you look closer, you can see that the town has been made up of litter that has been carefully crafted into a number of tiny houses. You see houses made up of paper, houses made of cardboard, houses made of old matchboxes, houses of twigs, potato chip bags, napkins, leaves, candy wrappers, all sorts of things that you usually see as litter. Some houses are tiny, the smallest consisting of only an overturned matchbox. There are some larger houses, with the largest house about the size of a purse.
As you stare in awe at the craftsmanship, you begin to notice being peering out from their homes. Most of them don't look human, taking the form of strange animals and insects, most of which are the likes you've never seen before. Some don't look anything earthly at all. The only thing they have in common is a faint sort of glow among them.
“Hello!” You hear a voice below, and you look down at a strange creature, which appears to be half-horse half-snake... Literally. The front part of it is equine, but the rest of it is purely a tail, and it uses its two hooves and its tail to keep itself upright. It waves at you.
“You found our village!” it says cheerily. “We're so happy; you're the first ones to come!”
It rears up so that it stands only on its tail. “You must be confused, so allow me to explain. We're spirits, and this is our little town! We've spent so much of the past few hours just trying to build it. You see, we're not from around here. We're visitors from the spirit world, come to stay for a short while and be with you and other mortals! And to sweeten the deal, we've brought gifts for you, gifts from our home realm. They may not be what you're used to, but we hope you enjoy them!”
The snake horse waves its hoof towards the houses around him. “Each spirit has a whole different variety of things. Go ahead, pick a house, talk to its spirit, and they'll give you something! I don't know what they all have; guess you'll have to find out! Now go on, don't be shy! Just watch your step and knock carefully. You probably won't be able to hurt us, beings of flesh that you are, but our houses are a different story. Anyway, go ahead and talk to whom you please! We just prefer that you finish by midnight, if you please.”
You glance over the town, intrigued. Do you visit the spirits, gathering the gifts that they have? Do you talk to the residents? If nothing else, you could always talk to one of the spirits, take a gift, and go; they seem reasonable about that.
You seem to be dealt with an array of possibilities. So go on, explore them!

Coaster arrives, feeling quite out-of-place in his ketchup-stained, weapon-clad costume. Nonetheless, after the horse-snake-thing's introduction, he decides to stoop down and politely knock on the flap of what used to be a takeout box to see who lives inside.
(Thankfully, as a human, he has arms much more suited to reaching places than those of an actual velociraptor.)

Fluffle Puff nods slowly, her brows creasing as she takes in more and more of this speech and the semi-equine creature in front of her. She understands; it wasn't like she was a horse in the normal sense either.
A head pokes out of the plush fur. "Thanks a lot!" its owner squeaks. Her eyes suddenly seem to glisten. "Oh, oh, oh, do you suppose you could show me where the water spirits are currently living?"
The fluffy horse looks at the girl in her fur as if she'd lost her mind.
Clearly all the horse wants is something sweet--heaven knows how thin she is under all the fur--heck, nobody quite knows what's going on in there.
Disagreeing with her rider, Fluffle steps backward and there's an audible crunch...

The innocuous-looking catgirl, in her sparkly purple tux, listened to the miniature ophidequine's speech with little sparkling hearts of adoration in her eyes.
"Aw, I'd have loved to help you build your houses!" she commented. "If you need a hand, just call, I'll make them pretty!"
Very curious about these new neighbours' house-warming gifts, she took a few tiny steps between the houses, trying to pick one. Several tentacles seemed to sneak out of nowhere to explore and gently feel the houses.
One of the tentacles decided to rub against the side of a potato chip bag, producing a crinkly sound that would hopefully count as a knock.

Pirate!Tiger is very impressed with the little village, and even more so with the small spirits. Part animals and nonhuman creatures - they’re not even trying to take anything over! “Sounds great! Thanks!” Tiger says to the snake-horse, saluting with two fingers at the point of her tricorn hat.
There’s a cereal box house nearby - ooh, Limited Edition Cherry NTWF-A-Bites, with Black Cherry Weewoo marshmallows! That had been a great cereal - but Tiger isn't about to get lost in nostalgia! There are spirits to talk to! Mysterious gifts to gather! Holding the sashes hanging from her belt in place so they don't stray into anyone’s house, Tiger taps a claw gently to the cereal box a few times to knock - Shave and a haircut - two bits!

AVENGER PYTHON is confused. Was this place just like, trash? He didn't really listen to what the snake-horse thing was saying, he was too busy trying to work out whether it was male or female. "Dude, AVENGER PYTHON's just here for the treats," he says with a casual shrug. "AVENGER PYTHON figured if he flashed his abs a little, he'd get all the candy he could ever need. So where is it?"
After scratching his head a little, he adds, "AVENGER PYTHON guesses that maybe you're a little weak at the knees after seeing him in a speedo. No worries, AVENGER PYTHON will just look around and help himself."
AVENGER PYTHON carefully makes his way through the trash - he didn't want to step on anything gross. Matchboxes are totally safe, right? He kneels down and pokes one. "AVENGER PYTHON isn't going to get burned from this, is he?" He snickers at his joke.

Coaster - The flap of the takeout box slowly opens, and out peers the face of a rabbit. Wait, no that's not right. It's... It's the shape of a rabbit face, but it has scales all over its front, and its ears seem to be missing. The rest of its body is still that of a furry rabbit, however. "Oh, hello! I see you're sort of scaly, like me! ...Sort of. Only sort of." It wriggles its whispers on its face. "Anyway, hello! I'm glad to have visitors. Please, take this gift; I've got too many of these at home, and I think you could find it more useful than me!" It rummages in the box before pulling out something with its mouth and plopping it into your hand. You glance down to inspect it. It looks like a fork. A three-pronged fork-- no, two? Three? You were sure it was three, you counted, but now... You carefully inspect the fork, and you realize that while the fork starts with two prongs, it ends with three. How odd! It's like something you've only seen in pictures, but here it is, an actual, physical fork that shouldn't exist. You got a deceptive fork!– Mostly Harmless (flufflepuff) - “A water spirit? Well, there's--” But as the argument intensifies, and the horse steps back, the snake horse gapes at the destruction of a house of twigs, wrapped together in what almost looked like seaweed. “Oh no! They're going to be mad...” Sure enough, from the ruins of the home, a strange creature crawls out. It looks to be an orange octopus, with a few decorative black stripes, but its tentacles end with cat paws instead of what tentacles usually end with, and there seemed to be a pair of whiskers just below its eyes. Its eyes that seemed narrowed... Welp. “My house!” it cries. (Somehow; you don't see that it has a mouth.) “You need to watch your step!” “Calm down,” the snake horse said. “It's only a temporary thing, really.” “Maybe, but I really liked how this one turned out,” the octopus grumbled. “And you know the traditions! You know we need a house to go home again!” “Well, we've still got time,” said the snake horse. “Oh, rebuilding is no problem,” said the octopus. “But I can't leave now, not with the gifts we have! I don't have time to gather supplies, and everything's so far away...” The octopus looks up at the horse and its girl. “But it's not far for you, not at all. If you go get some twigs or other little things I can use to rebuild, I'll forgive you and give you your gift. Shouldn't take long for you; you can find some just along the edge of the clearing. If you can get me some water too, I'll give you something more.” – Liou - From out of the potato chip bag peaks the head of... No, not a head. A knot? A knot of ribbon as its head, with the rest of the ribbon trailing behind it. It peers up at you... Somehow. You don't see eyes. “Oh hello!” it says. “Love your outfit; the purple really looks good on you!” It crawls out a little more so that you could see its whole “body”. “I couldn't help but overhear that you like our houses! Thanks! We put a lot of work into them! Especially on short notice. Some people complain, but well, one human's trash is another spirit's treasure.” It rolls inside for a brief moment before reappearing, its tail curled around something. “This is for you!” It offers it to you. It seems to be... a key? “Ah, this key is no ordinary key!” it proclaims. “If you're ever feeling forgetful of something, press the key to your head, and maybe it'll help! It doesn't help with everything, I think it's more tied to emotional memories, and you may still get something vague, but I'm sure it'll come in handy somehow!” You get the key of memory. Tiger - There's a rummaging in the cereal box, and something pokes out of the box, which appears to be the head of an ordinary mouse. “Oh! Hello! You seem to be clawed.” It observes without fear in its voice. “Something about my house must've caught your attention. I'm so glad! Hold on a moment.” It pokes its head back in for a moment, and not long later, it begins to walk out. As it does, you see more of its torso beyond its head, and you find that for a mouse, its body is very long, and it has a lot of legs. If you counted, you would probably count 100 legs total. It appears to be holding a washer on its head. “Go ahead, take it! I figured this gift will help you get to know what our world is like better so that we can better understand each other. It'll give you an idea of what things are like. Go ahead, look inside!” You peer through the hole in the washer, but instead of just peering through it at the mouse, you instead see a shimmer, and then a glimpse of somewhere... odd. Somewhere that doesn't make logical sense, with an odd landscape and odd geometries. You can see two spirits running around in the landscape, playing with each other. “It's a glimpse into the spirit world!” it says joyfully. “You'll see something different depending on where you look and where you go. But if you look in one place for long enough, you may see it shift. Something about different dimensions. Kind of fun, isn't it? I hope you have fun with it!” You get the spirit telescope. – Jayeee - As AVENGER PYTHON steps away, the snake horse scratches its head. “Knees, what knees?” It wonders to itself. But it shrugs. It was another human visitor! Just as they wanted. There were a few spirits with sweets, the snake horse knew that. Maybe he'd be lucky and find one of those, and have some fun with it too! At the nudge of the matchbox, the head of an insect poked out. It crawled out from its home, revealing itself to be a butterfly, but without flat wings. Instead, its wings were expanded out fractally, up to a point, but its wings seem to be very solid. You aren't sure how it's flying with those kind of wings. “Couldn't burn you if I want to,” the butterfly said. “Though it does have matches left, but I'd rather not use them. Anyway, hello! I overheard you say that you want treats? Well, that I can provide! Hang on.” It flies back towards it matchbox and rummages a bit before flying out, holding a lump of something that seems to be edible. “Easier to make these in the spirit world, but I collected a few for the trip! But before you eat it, I should warn you that our candies have magical properties. All spirit candies do, while mortal candies don't. I've never really gotten that. This candy will give you the chance to change some of your physical appearance at will! Just one part at a time, the magic only works that far, but you could change your hair color, your eye color, or what your arms look like. The magic only works for a few hours, so use it wisely!” The butterfly 'wisely' drops the candy into AVENGER PYTHON'S hands. You got the candy of transformation!

Coaster is enthusiastic about receiving the fork; he thanks the (wa-)scaly wabbit (*brick'd*), places the fork in his pizza-box-trick-or-treat-box (because who would possibly eat pizza without a fork to wipe off the excess drippy sauce?), and puts down a few napkins on the ground for the spirits to use as building material, should they need it. Wondering what else the village has in store, he approaches a rather spacious-looking old bag and greets the resident inside.

Azzie flies into the village, leaves trailing behind her. She stares at the spirits roaming around, and her eyes go wide. She lands softly beside the spirit with the broken house and squeals, "This is the prettiest town EVER!" She looks around, not seeming to know where to go first. "Um, hi! Nice to meet you, by the way!"

"Nooot a problem, my good....octopus...friend," Cassie finishes uncertainly. "Hold still, Fluffle." The girl dives into the pile of fur for what seems like hours.
The pony's gaze wanders and she nibbles on a nearby patch of seaweed. Hm. Like grass, only much saltier.
"GOT THEM!" Cassie proudly hands the tiger(?) octopus some twigs and a bottle of water. Her grin fades as she notices Fluffle's new snack.
"Oh, not again..."

Mostly Harmless (flufflepuff) - The octopus groans as the pony eats the seaweed. "Ah shoot, I really like that seaweed..." Once Cassie drops the twigs and the water, they are quick to move them and the rest of their supplies out of range of the pony, or at least as out of range as they can. "Well, this is going to set me back a lot, and my house won't quite be as pretty as before... But at least I least I can do stuff with this. Your uh... Your horse doesn't eat twigs, right? Anyway, could you please get them to be careful? We'd rather not rush too much to rebuild when it gets closer to midnight. But you got me water, at last! Now I can finally feel a bit better here. It's a little dry out." The octopus rummages in their little pile before pulling out two things, which they're careful to give to the girl and not the pony. "I've got a few of these books at home, had to keep them ready once the kids came, but I don't really need as many books as I do. Here, have one of the books, and enjoy the tale. Even if it doesn't have anything to do with rebuilding things. Oh well." As you feel the book, you notice that it doesn't seem to be made of paper. It seems to be made of some ethereal substance, both tangible, and yet when you draw your fingers across the pages, you can hardly feel anything. A quick glance through the tiny pages reveals that it's a picture book, telling the story of a little water spirit. You get the tiny water storybook!"And for being generous with the water, the candy is for you," the octopus says. You look down at it in your hand and see that it appears to be a piece of saltwater taffy. "It's no ordinary taffy. Once you eat it, you'll be granted the ability to breathe underwater. Just, uh, make sure that you stay underwater for a little while, for about an hour or two, because it doesn't let you breathe in air. Don't eat it now. Eat it when you have some water to explore." You get the water breathing taffy!("Just make the pony stop eating my supplies please," they remind you.) ♥ Azzie - The horse snake waves up at you, and the octopus turns its attention towards you. "It is a pretty town," the octopus agrees. "I just need time to fix this home... But you stopped to say hi, and you looked pretty gentle about it too. Maybe you'll like the book as well," they say. They hand you a similar book that was given to Cassie. This one, however, seems to detail a different story, one about a little bird spirit and their long journey through the sky. Looking at the pages, you can't help but wonder if the clouds are moving. You got the tiny air storybook!Tiger - The mouse waves with the first 20 of its feet. "No problem! We do enjoy hanging out here! All the people to see, the people to meet, and get a chance for you to get to know us, and for us to get to know you before... Well, before." They smile. "Have fun in the village! Perhaps we'll see each other again some year!" Coaster - The rabbit is happy at the sight of the napkins, and gestures to the other spirits with more lacking homes to take some. (The octopus, needless to say, is very pleased.) The resident of the old bag peers out, and is revealed to be similar to a dragonfly, but with wings curled in and a more animalistic face, similar to that of a bear. They looked like they were resting a little bit before, and they still seem somewhat tired. "Oh, hello," the dragonfly says. "I guess the villagers have come." The sides of the dragonfly's mouth twitches. "We're glad you came. We... We really want to see visitors. Here, you should take this, as a token from us. I've got a few of these, and well... I'd like to get rid of them." They roll a little item out of their bag before lifting it up to Coaster. Before it leaves their arms, you notice that it's a little marble, but with something glowing inside. Looking in it, you see a little flower, drooping and with a faded color, not dying but not doing well. The moment it touches your hands, the flower perks up, and you watch the process as it goes from a faded color to a different, more bright color. Brighter than before, at least. The dragonfly tries to smile. "It's an interesting little marble. Shows one of the flowers from the spirit world, but what flower it shows you depends on you, who you are, and... And what your feeling." It glances away. "You can also use it to summon the flower from the spirit world once. But only once; after that, it becomes an ordinary marble. I think that could be more useful in the mortal realm than the spirit realm, so... Go ahead, take it. Please..." ...Hmm, you can't help but notice that it's a little sad. But... You get the orbe de fleur!

Coaster is distressed that the resident of the bag is apparently depressed, and asks whether there's something the matter or if the dragonfly-ish creature just needs to eat better and get more sleep per night.

The catgirl squeals delightedly at the ribbon spirit. Finding such a pretty creature in a potato chip bag, how quaint! "And you look so elegant! I would love to wear you in my hair - ah, but that might not be very convenient for you." She holds the key up in the air to see it glint, and hums a little tune of triumphant item-acquiring under her breath. ("You got the thiiiing") "This it the best treat, how did you know I have terrible memory?! Thank you! I hope it's OK for you to just give away a precious item like that!" While putting the key in her bag, she notices a small bunch of old things lying at the bottom - you know, old crumpled receipts, napkins, wrappers, a paper bag or two... "Say, if you folk use trash as your treasure, here is some!" And she happily empties out her trash near the giving spirit's house. "Happy housewarming!" With that, she tiptoes around more houses, spots a one made of shiny candy wrappers - shiny! - and gently prods it with the tip of one tentacle.

Lizica stops dead at the edge of the village and stares around in confused delight. Everything is made with such care and detail, and there are just so many wonderful things and creatures glowing. Excited, she gathers up her cape and carefully tiptoes around some houses, spotting one in particular that catches her eye. She kneels down and gently taps the roof of a brightly-lit dog-eared box of crayons.
"I love your house!" she exclaims.
