Alright so first let me give a little background here.
A few years ago, my wolfdog ate my last tablet pen. It was a Graphire4 Tablet pen, and they don't make those anymore. I didn't want to get aftermarket parts, either, because that has never gone well for me. I just sort of inwardly sobbed for a while and was upset any time I looked at my very expensive now-cup mat.
I brought up in conversation that Isobel had eaten the pen to my cousin, Cienna, and she's like 'oh dude that's lame, but wasn't the Graphire phased out like five years ago anyway' and we started talking about the Intuos series (when Intuos was just Intuos and not Intuos-Pro and Intuos) and how awesome the bigger tablets were. Then we started talking about other crap and haven't brought up the tablet since. I mean we talk about art and stuff because we're both artists, (she's a tattoo artist/dry erase artist/oh look spaghetti noodles and newspaper artist) but never the tablet, because it's still a sore spot for me.
AND THEN I FIND OUT YESTERDAY THAT SHE FREAKING REMEMBERED THAT CONVERSATION AND BOUGHT ME AN INTUOS-PRO-M. Maybe I'm just not used to having people be nice to me or do nice things for me but I almost feel guilty because I know how much they cost. At the same time though I"m totally psyched at the prospect of being able to draw pretty things again!?
I'll be getting it within the next month and I'm not sure if I want to laugh or cry, but Cienna says I should be super happy and not guilty XD
Mind you this same cousin went out and bought me a Wii 'because you need more fun things' and a unicorn horn for my horse because 'not everything is about writing, gosh' and apparently I take myself too seriously. Add all of this together and I'm almost on the verge of tears because she's already the only cousin I like and now she's doing stuff like this and
-breathes-
TL;DR my cousin is an amazing, beautiful human being and is seriously underappreciated
