Is anyone else interested in Astrology? I have been getting into it for the past couple years and am going through a huge nerdy phase of it right now.
Whether you know next to nothing about it, or have studied harmonics or magi astrology or ANYTHING, I'd love to talk about ittt. :3
*crosses fingers*
Oh and to start things off I'll give my signs:
Cancer sun Virgo moon Leo rising
What about you? ^_^

My birth is like a jackpot on a slot machine.

I'm not an expert, but I have a combo that I love to show off: Gemini sun Gemini moon Gemini rising My birth is like a jackpot on a slot machine. Ooh, that is very interesting! You're super airy! Sextuplets? :3 So I'm curious, do you seem to feel like "yourself" all (or most) of the time? I know I experience some dissonance sometimes when I am out in public or hanging out in groups--I worry that I'm acting fake or unlike myself, like I'm a completely different person than when I'm alone. I wonder if this is because of the polarity of my earth/fire moon and ascendant. Speaking of ascendants, if there's any lurkers who're maybe wondering what the heck we're talking about, here's a hopefully simple explanation: - The Sun sign (the standard sign that pop astrology uses, and what most people know their sign to be) is considered your core "personality" sign. In other words, it's kind of like the essence of who you are: what qualities you have to work with immediately.
- The Moon sign (you can calculate your moon sign here!) is the sign the moon was in at the time of your birth. It's the side of you that comes out when you're alone--more of your emotional side.
- The Rising sign (or ascendant) is the sign rising on the eastern horizon at the time of your birth. It's considered the "mask" you wear when you present yourself to other people. It's what other people see and affects the impressions people have of you. You can calculate your rising sign here.
So all 3 signs work to form your personality. What's the point of knowing all this? Well, it can help you understand yourself better. When I found out that my rising sign is Leo, so many things made sense. Because I grew up a timid little Cancer, people were always telling me WHAT I was and WHAT I was supposed to be, and I got stuck thinking that that's how I had to be. So I was always suppressing my urges to be louder, more creative, the center of attention, the leader, etc (which are all Leo characteristics). Because I thought I couldn't be that way! XD When I found out I was Leo rising and that those things are very much a part of who I am I started embracing them more and stopped being afraid of those urges to do what I originally thought was scary, wacky, risky stuff. As a result, I grew. ^-^ And then there will be the people who think it's all a load of bunk and that we're crazy, but I say let us have our fun. ;D Anyway, astrology isn't a final 100% answer to everything. I think it's best to just use it as a rough guide. It's helped me acknowledge and discover parts of me that I later found rewarding to develop, and also pointed out personality flaws that I can work on (and just knowing what they are is half the work already). As someone once said to me, You decide who you are. Let astrology be the backdrop.

I'm aware of it. I don't put any stock in it at all, but I occasionally amuse myself with reading what I'm supposed to be or what have you.
Which is:
Sun: Pisces Moon: Virgo Ascendant: Pisces

DUH you're a virgo moon. That is so Stal. And I'm not surprised about the Pisces, either. Mwahah this makes everything so much clearer... >=D

Would you mind explaining to me why all that makes sense and how you fit it together despite the inherent contradictions of those two? (PM if you must) Just curious is all. Especially with the evil laughter that thus ensued.

I wonder if this is because of the polarity of my earth/fire moon and ascendant. Yeees exactly, I feel like a team of six people, not really different from each other, but always ready to switch places when one of us is tired. I send my "clones" to work when I can't be bothered. Maybe not six of us, but it's a very nice feeling, like there's always someone ready to support me. I don't recall feeling a dissonance, though. I like to act like me/us. It's probably because I prefer to say things directly and avoid mind games and misunderstandings, but my astral background can only help. Then again, most of us tend to act differently when we're in other people's company. I think it still counts as a part of our true self. As someone once said to me, You decide who you are. Let astrology be the backdrop. That's pretty much how I take it. It's hard to tell whether you're just adapting to the description of your sign, as they're vague enough to leave a lot of room for interpretation. The daily horoscopes seem just silly to me. It's fun to analyse and talk about; it doesn't work for everyone, but it seems to work for me. It can help to figure out your strengths. :3

Especially with the evil laughter that thus ensued. Haha, I was mostly just joking around, but. XDDD Virgo moons have an eye for details, and are usually pretty analytical (which sounds like... you), and Pisces tends to be visionary, inspiring yet humble, otherworldly, sometimes misunderstood, mysterious, sensitive and romantic (I know you have a soft side :3)... I dunno, just seems Stally to me. Hehe.

ooh *___* i don't really know all that much about astrology but i find it very interesting and i would love to learn more!
my signs are: scorpio sun ☀ aries moon ☽ pisces rising i've always felt really connected to my scorpio sun sign and i love being a scorpio ^__^ i just found my moon and rising signs thanks to your links(i think i also did that a while ago but i totally forgot what they were ;___;)
i feel an immediate connection to my pisces ascendant sign, i am a pretty huge daydreamer and very malleable, in a constant state of change. that coupled with my scorpio sun sign deems me a pretty emotionally intense person which i think is right on point haha!! i relate to the impulsiveness and tendency to act based on instant self-gratification that comes with the aries moon sign, but i don't consider myself aggressive at all.
i really love being a scorpio though ♥__♥ i am very proud of my scorpio sign, i think it suits me very well.
