275! This is way too exciting. I have been waiting for months to write this conversation.
Favorite line: "It reeks of Faerie."

336 words. Ahaha, had some trouble with the dialogue here. The last small chunk is left out because it spoils part of the end of Stagnation. Corey snorted, giving Ohu a look of supreme irony, “Old man, if your partner is so very exhausted, isn’t it your job to give him a place to sit?”
“Might be,” Ohu said. “But he never asked to sit. Wanted to stay standing like a good little subordinate, all stiff and formal-like.”
“If he’d done anything else, I’d have thought him an imposter,” Valrigard said with a wry smile. “Climb up lad, it’ll do your reputation more damage if you fall on your nose then to be mounted as you give your report.”
“Yes sir,” Gary said, making a mental note to get Ohu back for this somehow. As he lifted himself wearily into the saddle, he glanced at the scorchio. “You look comfy."
“I don’t feel comfy,” the green neopian groused. “Not as bad as it could be, but his grace here thinks the bone is bruised. Gonna be a while before I can walk on this leg again.”
The bori winced internally. He’d been lucky not to take any injuries in this particular skirmish, but he wasn’t usually so fortunate. The mark on his face was a token from a bandit attack two summers ago, when he and a fellow squire had made the mistake of going out into hostile territory alone and been ambushed.
“You’ll be fine, Edmund,” Ohu said to the scorchio loftily. “Not even a rugged scar to show off to the ladies, if that’s all it is.”
“For now,” Edmund replied darkly. “This is the third raider group we’ve had this autumn. They just keep coming. How long until someone gets hurt bad?”
“With any luck, a long time,” Gary said. “The lord of Drackon Ridge is supposed to be sending us some relief soon. Apparently that’s where Prince Skarl has been for the past week, petitioning on our behalf.”

Ooh, nice! By the way, square brackets are required for formatting for Neopian Times submissions now. Feel like going again? I am bizarrely not hungry, but that is okay because it gives me more time to write.

Oh is that so? Well I hope that doesn't mean all the formatting I wrote into Stagnation is going to be erased now. |D Blargh, oh well.
One more, I think, then a breather. XD

^^; It might. You can ask Droplet about it.
Sounds good! Half hour to :45 again?
Other favorite quote:
"Do you know how long I searched for you?!"
"Twelve years?"
"No!"

Nah, I already bugged her once about this story, it's not a huge deal.
And sure~

210! Kind of! I went back and added a little bit here and there in previous parts, but that's too complicated to count. The point is that I wrote. Aaaahhhh this is so exciting and I wish I could share it but I can't because it's majorly spoilerish. Thanks so much for warring today! That was really fun! I hope we can do it again sometime, and maybe I'll actually be able to post what I've written! (Actually, I should be able to after a point because I'm working with a character who has no canon given name, so I made one up for him, and once I start referring to him by that name in the narrative I think I can share bits without it being spoiler-y.)

336 again. Pfff, what are the odds? Left out the rest of the scene I was working on because of spoilers again, but here's another scene I started after. And awesome, I hope that I can read some of your story sometime. ^^ “No, no, no, no,” the starry lupe yelped, throwing up his hands. “For the thousandth time, I am not interested in ordering any self spell-checking pens, blot-be-gone ink, or whatever other crackpot garbage you’re selling. Who even let you in here, this wing of the library is supposed to be off limits to visitors!”
The kiko salesman made a noncommittal noise, an expression of guilt on his face. The lupe felt his anger mounting.
“You listen here,” he said, “I do not wish to have the guards escort you out. They are not known for being particularly forgiving or kind about such things. But if you do not go, I will have no choice in the matter. Only palace staff or full time residents are allowed back here. Go hawk your wares downstairs with the rest of the merchants. I have work that I am in great need of getting back to.”
The kiko fled, and the young lupe heaved a sigh of relief. Xeln Hawkins, known to those close to him as Xee, had never been an individual celebrated for long patience. But the castle's recent flooding of merchants with all the new semester starting at the royal academy was wearing him absolutely raw.

xD That Kiko salesman. That's awesome. Xee sounds like a fun character.

Ahaha, he is. He's a remarkably smart guy, and knows it, and has a huge ego about it. Bu he also has a very short temper, and a lot of his scenes consist of him trying valiantly not to mouth off to important government figures and usually failing utterly. XD

@surfersquid A fluffy antagonist who hoards living things and who may have missed the opportunity to learn fundamental things because of past events? No idea who that might be. >.> (Yes I stalk the Word Wars, munch metaphorical popcorn, and look forward to reading the full finished works. :3)

Aaaahhh don't spoil it for anyone, Liou! xD His reveal is one of the awesomest plot twists ever. And he gets so much development in this story. He becomes this adorable growly fluffball of post-villainy and insecurity. (Hey, stalkers welcome! Glad you're enjoying it!) By the by, anyone up for warring again today? I have to go do morning stuff, but I should be back in a bit, and I plan on writing most of the day.
