So, I know we're supposed to use BBCode for minor text alterations like italics and bolding. Can we use it to align text as well? I'm writing something with some in-story prose that I need to be centered as per proper literary formatting, so can I add the div align tags and it will submit okay in the form? Example of what I'm talking about: text text text text text text text text text important writing on piece of paper text text text text text text text etc. I'd like to do the same for three-asterisk part separators because I noticed Droplet very kindly centered them in my series and I want to save her the trouble from now on.

I always center my part separators with simple BBCode, as in [ center ]example[ /center ] (without spaces, obviously). Not sure if that's what you meant or not, and it's possible that I'm doing it wrong and Droplet just fixes it for me, but it's worked so far at least ^^; If nothing else, I'd imagine that the square brackets used in BBCode wouldn't get eaten up by the form (since they work for things like italics) and she'd be able to understand what you mean even if the formula is slightly different.

Thanks! It's partly to clarify parts I want centered, and partly to save Droplet the work of centering them herself, since I forgot to do that with my part separators in "Worth Fighting For" and felt pretty bad that Droplet had to go in and center all of them herself. <.< I think I'll just go with the BBCode and see what happens, unless I get more clarification.

Yeah, I get what you mean ^^ It can be awkward not knowing if you've got the formatting right, so I just go with my best guess and hope it'll be at least somewhat helpful, heheh. Good luck with your entry!

For asterisks you don't need to add any code. We use a macro to make centering those pretty quick. For poetry or bits of text where it's not obvious that it needs to be centered, what Sporty showed with square brackets is probably best.

Ah, thanks, Droplet! That's good to know; I'll keep that in mind from now on.
