EDIT: Gah, ninja'd XD my last character was a khajit named sekmet he was awesome and lovable. i never ended up using the night vision much. the brightness on my game must be turned up a lot i think.

I don't play argonians a much as I used to because the underwater breathing just seemed like a maaaaaassive advantage sometimes and I want to challenge myself. xD I otherwise like playing argonians, though.

I got a Dragon Priest mask that has an underwater breathing ability and I just carry it around with me all the time. But I don't find that I need to use it all that often - there was that underwater quill quest where it was helpful, and I've found treasure like...twice but I don't think I've ever needed it outside of that. Do other people go swimming more often than I do? Usually if nature kills me it does so by dropping me off a mountain

I don't like going underwater. ;__; When I first started playing and was on my way from the first scene (like walking along the river) I fell in and it took me like 10 minutes to figure out how to get out and it had dragged me very far first. XD

there are a few cool shipwrecks that are much easier to explore with waterbreathing but generally its just a cool bonus. also going underwater to escape being overwhelmed by enemies stronger than you is p useful

In my Skyrim file, my character is a Breton woman named Mirura. I picked that race because I wanted to play a mage and Breton traits are good for that. I don't like going underwater because I'm bad at keeping track of my air meter.

I think I'm going for mage traits more often because I like having larger mana pools since I've always had a problem with that. xD
But I'll probably go back to argonian one day, for one reason because I like them, and also because yeah, underwater breathing isn't as useful as some of the other abilities. And like I say, I like being challenged. xD Cause what always happens to me in any Elder Scrolls game is that the beginning is bad, then there's a short period of things being moderately difficult, and then I'm essentially killing every single thing I encounter in 1-3 hits. xD
I found myself going underwater more often even if only because of the treasure. My only complaint is that it's just hard to see.
