Every time I see one of these anniversary posts pop up on the forum, I always find it really impressive that people manage to stick around here for so long, that they've been able to persist, to find something about this place that keeps them here for such a long time and makes it worth their while.
And, I dunno, I feel a bit like it’s my turn now? In some respects, I want to say that I can't believe it's already been four years since I joined the NTWF, that time has sped on with such haste as to draw ever-nearer to the raging tide of eternity; and yet, I also can’t help but think “That’s it? Only four years?”
Because it seems like it's been so much longer, like more time has passed, and it might just be the fact that you've all been able to make the time that I have spent here so much more significant and meaningful. I can still remember the first time I got invited to the NTWF Neoboard, asked to stick around and chat for a while, and then, one November morning (the first November morning of the year) I decided to pop my head in the forum at large and see what the hubbub was.
(In hindsight, looking for hubbub in November was probably my first blunder, haha)
You know a really good word to describe the NTWF? Scintillating. This place is a brilliant, sparkling patch of night sky on the internet, filled with wonder and creativity. To an outside viewer, it just looks like a few starlike points, but over time we've developed our space to fill it with constellations; we’re interconnected, we all come together, and there’s something inspiring about that.
Anyways, I, uh, guess that's it? Stay awesome, NTWF, it’s been a great four years. Who knows where we’ll go in the future.
