You approach the next house, but even from a distance, you can tell something is definitely off.
There's glowing eyes staring at you from the trees, but they're not scary, no. They look oddly... friendly. As you get closer, you see paper ghost chains hanging all over. They're covered in pink glitter. There's a couple carved pumpkins at either side of the door, both with happy smiling faces. The doormat at your feet says 'Welcome!' in the least intimidating font you've ever seen.
The warm friendly atmosphere makes you feel uneasy. It just isn't right.
Are you sure you want to knock? There's something very strange about this house...

Nova appears on the doorstep out of thin air. It appears there hasn't been any visitors at this house, making it all the more suspicious in addition to the pink glitter. Pink glitter on Halloween? Someone's trying too hard.
Yet, he has always been far too curious for his own good. He lifts the door-knocker and knocks...

Coaster knocks and beckons the homeowner.
"Fellow compatriot of saccharine decoration and family-friendly programming!... uh, right. Trick or treat?"

GLQ approaches the door apprehensively, looking around her frantically.
"No no no it's not supposed to... It's gotta be a trap, gotta be a trap. Getting my guard down. Or waiting for us to get nice and comfy before really scaring us. Well, not working for me! Ha ha ha..."
GLQ coughs as she approaches the door. "I'm not scared, I promise," she says. She then hesitates for a moment before knocking on the door.

Someone's trying too hard. Yet, he has always been far too curious for his own good. He lifts the door-knocker and knocks... You hear quick footsteps, like someone running. Suddenly, the door flies open, revealing a large pink... sideways heart? "Luvdisc! Luvdisc! Luv!" Says the homeowner enthusiastically. She's carrying a bowl full of multicolored heart-shaped candy. She takes a handful and gives them to you. Figures. It looks like you knocked on the house of a cannibal, of all things. Coaster knocks and beckons the homeowner. "Fellow compatriot of saccharine decoration and family-friendly programming!... uh, right. Trick or treat?" "Luvdisc!" The luvdisc looks at you excitedly like you were an old friend and nods as in approval of what you just said. She shoves her bowl of candy towards you and lets you grab a handful.

A Dalek trundles towards the door. "Daleks have no concept of happiness," it says to itself quietly (or, rather, it says to itself in a tone that due to the amplification settings is mostly lost in the distortion sequencer), and continues onward.

Coaster presumptuously assumes that there is a language barrier and attempts to communicate.
"Alomomol-lumin-ikarp deen disc, uh... Venustoise mudkip?"
The house suddenly proves much scarier with the introduction a sideways heart that can make footsteps as well as hold things without having arms or legs or being a cucumber.

She then hesitates for a moment before knocking on the door. "LUVDISC!" Luvdisc is excited to get more friends coming to visit her and decides to greet you with a hug! Unexpected hugs aren't scary of startling at all, right? Yeah, that's what I though. Luvdisc gives you a handful of heart-shaped candy. Heart-shaped candy always makes everything better. A Dalek trundles towards the door. "Daleks have no concept of happiness," it says to itself quietly (or, rather, it says to itself in a tone that due to the amplification settings is mostly lost in the distortion sequencer), and continues onward. Luvdisc looks at the Dalek curiously, wondering what kind of creature that is. She had never seen one of those where she comes from. Either way, everyone deserves candy! Luvdisc offers a handful to the strange person. Coaster presumptuously assumes that there is a language barrier and attempts to communicate. "Alomomol-lumin-ikarp deen disc, uh... Venustoise mudkip?" The house suddenly proves much scarier with the introduction a sideways heart that can make footsteps as well as hold things without having arms or legs or being a cucumber. "Luvdisc! Disc! Luv!" Finally someone who understands.

"Thank you for the treats," says the Dalek, making a hasty exit back up the path. Flying love hearts are supposed to live in February, or so it thought.

GLQ is startled by the sudden hug, and she begins panicking and trying to get away. What if that end of the heart was pointy? What if... What if it was trying to eat her?
She lets out a scream just in time for the heart-shaped candy to be put in her hand. She stares at the heart-shaped candy for some time before her scream slowly dissipates.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaooh, candy. Thank you." She collects the heart-shaped candy into her bag. "Heh, I bet you guys bought my scaredy-cat act. Ha ha... ha..."
She wraps the ghost sheet tighter around herself.

...Pink? Certainly an unusual choice for Halloween decor, the kid can't help but tell himself. He's not entirely certain why everything seems so, so... bright is the first word that comes to mind. Cheerful. Almost disconcertingly so. It's certainly enough to put someone on edge.
Oh well, no use fretting over quandaries. The kid knocks on the door and braces himself for anything that may appear.

Azzie took one look at the house, and bolted toward it.
"Eeeeeeeee this place is so pretty!" she squealed. "Now this is a nice Halloween house! And what a pretty fishie!" She ran up toward the Luvdisc, grinning. "Hi!"
Someone should probably have stopped this faerie from eating so much candy.

While approaching the house, Birdy nearly attacked upon seeing the paper ghost chains, but then relaxed when she saw they were, indeed, just paper.
"This place is pretty," she smiles, then, completely unfazed by the seeming strangeness, knocks on the door. "Trick or treat!"

Cheerful. Almost disconcertingly so. It's certainly enough to put someone on edge. Oh well, no use fretting over quandaries. The kid knocks on the door and braces himself for anything that may appear. "LUVDISC!" Exclaims the pink heart-shaped fishie who just came out the door. Luvdisc just can't control her excitement over getting visitors. The guy standing in front of her seems kind of quiet. Luvdisc decides she likes him, because she doesn't always talk much either. Some people don't even understand her. How is that possible? Anyway, she smiles at him and gives him some candy. Azzie took one look at the house, and bolted toward it. "Eeeeeeeee this place is so pretty!" she squealed. "Now this is a nice Halloween house! And what a pretty fishie!" She ran up toward the Luvdisc, grinning. "Hi!" Someone should probably have stopped this faerie from eating so much candy. The Luvdisc jumps up and down in excitement at the compliments she just received. She worked really hard in decorating, and even though she ignored half the tips on the magazine she bought for the occasion, she is glad her work is appreciated. "Luv luv luvdisc!" She exclaims. She hopes the girl understood her compliment. She loves her costume, it's the prettiest color. She gives her a particularly large handful of heart-shaped candy. While approaching the house, Birdy nearly attacked upon seeing the paper ghost chains, but then relaxed when she saw they were, indeed, just paper. "This place is pretty," she smiles, then, completely unfazed by the seeming strangeness, knocks on the door. "Trick or treat!" "Disc Luvdisc!" Luvdisc greets the new visitor with a smile and offers some candy. She takes time to appreciate her costume. It looks really cool. Luvdisc could bet it's super effective against ghosts!
