Hooray! Congrats! And yeah, I always forget what chapter I'm on, too. XD (I actually haven't been breaking this one into chapters, that's probably a thing I should do >_>)

So, I've been playing hooky since the 16th when I got Fire Emblem Awakening. But, today I'm back and doing a little more writing! =D
But, just a little, because Fire Emblem. XD
But, coming up on the ending, I realize, I don't know how to end this thing. Just where do I leave it? Do I foreshadow a lot of what will be coming up in the next book, or do I just drop it at the conclusion and leave you to wonder where it will pick up and what all the next moves are going to be.
I mean, I'm pretty sure I'll figure it out when I get there, I know I had several different endings last year. All the same ending, just different cut off points. I need to go back and cut off several paragraphs anyway, because I'm not happy about how far I pushed the ending, which of course means I should spend less time thinking about this ending since I can always go back and add on or cut off if I change my mind later.
And, enough rambling, which was probably mostly my way of getting my thoughts down rather than an update about Sparrows anyway.
I hope everyone else's NaNo's are going well too. Back off to writing (or video games) I go.

So, at 60k, the story is pretty much over. Just one more chapter to tie everything up nice and tidy, and then onto book 2? So, maybe 2k more?
Ha, yeah, maybe it's best not to get too ambitious. I'm not sure if I'll think about starting it sometime early next year, or wait until next NaNo.
Sorry if this doesn't make much sense or is painful to read. It's 2 a.m. here, I got carried away with a sudden burst of 'let's finish this thing' back at about 11 p.m.. XD

My most recent sentence?
So, yeah, we're at the end! 61,096 words in a total of 18 actual writing days. It's a pretty fantastic feeling, with none of the let down I usually get when I finish a novel because the story's not over by a long shot. Over the past couple of days, in between writing Sparrows, I've been working on the outlines for 2 and 3, and they are pretty much complete.
Now, I guess I'll just sit back and enjoy my November and December, and who knows what'll come next? Thanks for taking this trip with me, guys. It was every bit as fun as last year.
