It's been NaNo for a good couple of hours for me now! =D And since it's starting for so many others, I wish you all good luck in the coming month!!

So, I've been working on a different story for the last three days, knowing I'd be putting it aside for NaNo and I quit writing a couple of hours ago but didn't close the document. This is my final sentence:
Kinda fitting since I probably won't touch this again until late November or December. XD;

So I went to a local NaNo kickoff party for the first time! Well, like the last half hour of it, I only wrote like three paragraphs, but it was still pretty fun.  I'm plotting to go to some write-ins in the future, if mostly because I didn't feel like I was there long enough to really get the full experience.  |

Wrote just about 1700 words of the novel I planned on working on this month, and hated just about every paragraph of it. I got to the end, and had this super long list of things I wanted to change come December, and lots of "ugh this plot is ugh/cliche/haterage". So, I sat down with a new notebook, and beat my head against a wall brainstorming for maybe half an hour, and came up with a concept for something new.
Wrote 1800 *new* words in the last hour of the day, for a completely different story, and ended up much, much happier.
Yay November 1st!

I'll go for it, I was already planning to write almost all day Saturday unless something comes up. I've been writing minimally these past three days and I wanna get into the fun part of this story already.

I'm so far behind right now  Traveling, so all the fun stuff I'm doing is winning over writing, but my word count is still making me sad. I won't even be around for most of the marathoning tomorrow. But, I'll catch up. MWAHAHAHAHA. |

I just realized that one of my characters starts his sentences with 'Well' all the time, and I didn't intend for that, but I don't know if I should leave it as an annoying trait of his, or edit out a few of them. XD;

I'm noticing this strange pattern where I drag through my writing throughout the whole day and then suddenly get this huge inspiration burst at like midnight
...I'm currently providing most of the wordcount for "today" so far in my region
("today" as in since an hour and fifteen minutes ago, that is)
(as in I wrote like 800 words since then)

 So tired. Yet so happy. I'm over 10k further than the furthest i've ever gotten in Nano. Or on any story (many failed novel attempts). And I'm nowhere near halfway through my story yet. |

lolol make sure you put in the appropriate number of words when you update your wordcount, I accidentally missed a digit and for a moment it was all like "YOU WROTE NEGATIVE FORTY THOUSAND WORDS TODAY"
(very easy to fix, thankfully, but still)
