On one hand, this is technically a double post.
On the other hand, it's been about a month, I think it's fair.
Anyway, I managed to send an email to a professor about me needing help for a class. It's a small thing, but considering I've had a problem in the past about sending emails and that I've had a lot of trouble asking for help, I just feel proud about getting the email out. Take that, anxiety and avoidance behaviors.

I thought my university awarded the highest grade to those who got a 17/20. Nope, all you needed was a 16.5.
So, guess who is going to graduate Master of Letters Museum and Gallery Studies with Distinction in December? =D (Online, for now, but still)

"I'd love to read up on this certain subject, but I dunno which books out there are reliable resources."
*goes to Youtube, sees a creator I follow and whose opinions I trust on the subject recently released a video all about book recommendations*
Perfect timing! xD

My car is back! \ o /
And I got another thing done today while I was still test-driving my car.
And I tried a food place (takeout) and it turned out to be really good!!

I'm hesitant to say it because I may jinx it. But screw it, superstitions are super silly.
This is the first time in a long while I felt hopeful about the general state of things. And I didn't realize how much I wasn't and how much that was weighing on me until I saw signs of things turning around.

So.... 8 year old me is totally geeking out right now. Our video game spirit week got me to thinking about the games I used to play on an old Apple II computer, with the green monochromatic screen. Yes, I'm old. I fully admit that. So there is this one game I used to play that I've actually thought about multiple times since I was a kid. I asked Facebook, and no one could figure out what game this was. The the name "Sunburst" came to my mind multiple times. So I did a Google search with that, and... I FOUND MY GAME! And I even found an emulator!! It was "The Factory" and you had this square that you'd have to rotate, punch shapes in, and paint stripes on until you replicated the given product. I probably shouldn't be this excited over a computer game from the 1980s. And yes, this was a cool computer game, back in my days. *shakes cane at all you youngins* Description and screen shots: www.mobygames.com/game/apple2/factory_Emulator: archive.org/details/wozaday_The_Factory

While working in the grocery industry is busy this time of year, seeing all the holiday decorated items and foods as you pack them for shipping still gets you in the seasonal mood.

For a more positive counterpart to my venting, in the past few weeks I've felt much more confident in and motivated by my relationship with my long-distance girlfriend (we've been dating since June 2016, and got to meet in person for a weekend in August 2019). I'm not being sappy when I say that it's given me emotions beyond words that I've never felt in my life before. In other news, to cope with recent events I've had newfound motivation to try to do more with my life and experience all it has to offer. For example, I've been unearthing my musical training (which I've sat on since I graduated) and revisiting my idea of setting my sights on trying to land a music gig at a downtown winery, something which even planning has had me excited. Even if I don't know when that or the therapy opportunities in the linked post will happen, the mere anticipation and sense of excitement for planning both events has already given me a sense of peace, so I consider that a gloat.

Finished my last day of work before Thanksgiving, the busiest time of year for groceries =w= Not only that, but the last two days had significantly less work, so I got off earlier than I would a normal day! I suppose because it's the time that people grab just one or two things last minute before the holiday, rather than a cartful of stuff.

The Things People Say thread I started here over fifteen years ago is apparently still active, even though I haven't used this forum since 2013. So that's pretty cool.

During birthday celebrations earlier this week, my sister surprised me with this mini pinata: I just wanted to share because even now when I look at it, it makes me irrationally happy xD It is a great object and I love that it fits perfectly in the hand.

Today waas a terrible, trash day. But at least I found £10 in the car park of the supermarket, so, yay. Not going to say no to free money.
