So as of today I've been a member here for 8 years now, or to put it starkly, just over a third of my life. In that time I've seen people come here and go. Actually I've seen a lot of people go. And I've met people that are my friends offline as well. I've met more people from here in real life than can count. When I joined, I was in middle school, and now I'm about to set off for a second go at university. The amount of time that has passed is staggering.

And yet, there are so many people here I still do not know well, whom I've only spoken to on occasion and that should definitely change. I may not be the most active poster here, and I may drop off the grid for months at a time every now and then, but this place is still the one remaining constant.

So here's a shout out to those that talked to me on the phone, to those who I've met offline, to those that still bother to talk to me on Skype and on the forum despite the fact I tend to complain a lot, to those that helped me along the road, and to those that I can still call my friends after all these years.

Who knows what the future will hold. Will this forum be around in another 8 years time, for 2021? It is not certain but if there is still an NTWF in the next decade, you can be sure in some obscure back alley thread somewhere, there will be a post by me, still wanting to know what's been going down on the 'Bloids after all that time.

Congratulations, Thundy! ^_^ It has been wonderful having you around the NTWF all these years. I still remember the meetup with you, Hunty and Lulu very fondly so thank you for that. Here's to eight more years and beyond. You are more than an old fogey so for now, enjoy these. *gives you a crate of fireworks* I might have dropped a bomb in there as well.
