"Um...listen," she said in a tone that wasn't really commanding at all. "I think it was that girl who's acting scared of this mansion. It seems to me that a murderer would want to put up that kind of pretense to pull suspicion away from themselves!"
I personally think it's the prince, Snaw thought. But rather than fight with Erika, his possibly only friend here, he simply smiled and nodded his head.
As he explored the basement, Snaw Van Peacock was amazed at all of the stuff this basement held; there were boxes upon boxes filled with old magazines, newspapers, and various copies of Snaw's bestsellers. It wasn't until he found a sparkly Afro wig that Snaw knew he had found a treasure......

Sergei took the flask back and took a small sip from it, intending to conserve the vodka. There was not going to be much of it, unless somehow this place turned out to be linked to the wine cellar. He was sure Mr. Woo would have a wine cellar, mansion like this. Perhaps he could sneak away to find it...and get promptly killed for being the murderer.
No, good wine was worth risking his life for. He'd risked it for much less. But until his vodka ran out, he was not going to go anywhere. No point risking it needlessly.
"Me too. I am tired but I had the company of some lovely ladies so it was much easier for me. You should try it, tovarish. Being surrounded by good people makes everything better," he smiled and looked around. While it was true they were surrounded by people, they were not exactly good, at least not right now. If they were outside and enjoying themselves, Sergei was sure they would have made great company.
"I cannot think of a motive either. Miss Macy is most suspicious but she is not a suspect. Everyone has a motive and being stuck in basement will help nothing," he said, shrugging. "But I think we should make most of bad situation," he glanced at Rochelle. "Ah, this is Miss Rochelle LeMarque, one of my lovely friends," *he gestued at Sir Manuel. "Rochelle, Group Captain Sir Manuel Adventure."

Mori rocked back and forth within his box fort. What was he going to do? The people in the mansion were mad. None more then that crazy lady who kept gathering them together. If anyone was guilty, it was most likely her... He had to think. He couldn't stop and cry about things. He had to think. So, he stopped rocking. He sat up straight with his legs pressed up against his body. He put his hands together and began to think while humming (a anime tune of course, this one from a mystery drama series).
"Of course the crazy lady is guilty, with all her threatening and trying to get us to do stuff. She's the worst of them all... Then there are those old people. Someone that old can't be trusted... That brat? Probably not, she's just creepy... The man who stole my manga? Guilty. That royal acting guy? Not sure, he's just... Odd. Probably delusional. That Candle lady? She seems a bit off and obsessed with that royal guy."
He turns his head to the side.
"Taka, what do you think?"
Silence...
"You're right, they're all insane. They're all guilty."
Silence...
"No. We're not burning the mansion down."
Silence...
"No, it would not be fun."
Silence...
"For starters, I have no way to get out. Second, fire is a bit cliche."
Silence...
"And where are we going to find a industrial freezer, liquid nitrogen, and enough piping for that?"
Silence...

"I object. It's clearly this girl, contemptuous toward Mr. Woo for only inviting her for her voice, even demanding that she sing in public! In front of this lot of aristocratic buffoons! No offense. For his grand unveiling, what else!"
"What?!" Erika retorted. "It wasn't -"
"SETTLE DOWN!" he yelled in his best authoritative tone. "We need to have a rational discussion - WITHOUT resorting to personal attacks! The murderer is certainly trapped in this room, so we NEED to stay calm and discuss the EVIDENCE!"
Okay, okay. Erika took a deep breath in and out.
Hold it. Miss Macy...maybe she hadn't done it. Not directly.
"Okay, here's what I think about Miss Macy. I think whoever did it was paid by her to murder Mr. Woo. It would have to be someone desperate, someone who couldn't make money any other way...and...that doesn't seem to be anyone here."
She had hit a wall.

Prince Stal had figured out who the killer was. It was really rather obvious, all said.
But he kept his mouth shut. When Alexa had asked him who it was and who he thought, he merely raised an eyebrow and smiled slightly. "Oh, I know who did it. I know exactly who did it, where, and how. But it is so much more enjoyable watching everyone around here panic.
"When you are finished panicking, I will reveal the culprit in due time. In the most dramatic fashion possible!"

Snaw gasped at Prince Stal's announcement. How fashionable can a poorly-dressed prince-wannabe be with his unveiling? Shaw also had his suspicions: he felt like Prince Stal had refused to forgive him after Snaw took over his kingdom and crowned himself King and Queen of his territory. Would the prince swear revenge and try to frame him for the murder of Mr. Woo?
There were other hints that Snaw had: the poisoned sugar cookies, the explosion in the observatory that no one had bothered to check out. Except for Snaw, everybody else seemed oblivious to what was really going on in Woo's mansion. And what about he will Snaw found: who would forge it to give Snaw everything Woo had owned?
Remembered one of his WOOHP gadgets, Snaw pulled out a pen and handed it to the suspicious prince. "You know, one of the prizes that I received after being crowned Miss Iceland was this pen," he said as he held out the pen towards Stal. "And since I had taken over your kingdom, took all of your jewels and gold and tore down a castle to make room for a new mall, I decided to give you this exquisite pen that I received from the judges."

Prince Stal looked at this other princely figure. "My good man, do I know you? And what is this nonsense about taking over my kingdom. Surely you must be daft and delusional... or perhaps you ate the shrimp that everyone seems to be talking about?" Prince Stal blinked at him a couple times before turning his attention back to the drama and panic going on around him. Yes, sometime soon it would be time to do his dramatic reveal and be the hero. He just needed to make sure everything would be in place. He patted Barry the Err Bear on the head. "Soon now, my friend. Soon. In the meantime... excuse me, would someone care to fetch me a glass of wine?"

"My good man, do I know you? And what is this nonsense about taking over my kingdom. Surely you must be daft and delusional... or perhaps you ate the shrimp that everyone seems to be talking about?"
Shrimp? Snaw never ate shrimp! With a snap of his fingers, Snaw ordered Fred #4 to show 'Prince Stal' the latest headline from The Daily Snaw. As soon as the prince had read the headline 'Miss Neopia takes over ______', hos face grew pale and he immediately turned away to pet his stuffed bear.
Snaw smiled and continued scrummaging through Woo's boxes. When one box fell upon him, Snaw picked up all of the littered belongings and hastily picked up a worn-looking journal. Could this journal be Woo's? Curious, Snaw opened the book and was shocked when he realized that there was a map inside! The map was of the entire mansion, and behind the drawn map laid a list of all of the people that were invited to Woo's dinner party.
Once he saw a word 'blow up' in the observatory, Snaw knew the murderer had planted the book here............but why?

Following her quiet accusation, Sergei had turned to Rochelle with a smile. "Yes, it is. She may be the killer or she might be saddened by loss of Mr. Woo. You, dorogaya, however, are holding on very well. I'm glad for you."
Rochelle gave a small but sad smile back and otherwise remained silent. She admitted that she was holding on better than before, he was right about that. But she was hardly being professional at all. Not today anyway, even before Woo's... Well, you know. She had expected many things to happen this night. The last on her list was breaking down and resorting to alcohol.
A hand leading her to another broke her train of thought, and she found herself facing another military man. "Rochelle, dorogaya, may I introduce you to my good friend Sir Manuel Adventure." was how Sergei introduced her to him before they shared a hug as well as Sergei's flask.
Manuel held out his hand for a handshake, which Rochelle reciprocated. Sergei pointed to the two of them and said each of their names.
"Pleased to meet you, Manuel," Rochelle responded. "I'm a hostess at the Garnish Gardens restaurant. You two seem to go far back. I'm glad."
She looked nervously at the situation around her before speaking quietly. "I still don't trust Miss Macy, myself. But it has to be one of us. And if they're in here with us..."
"When you are finished panicking, I will reveal the culprit in due time. In the most dramatic fashion possible!"
She looked over to Stal, who had spoken these words. She couldn't help it. She called over to him. "You know who the culprit is?" she asked. "How can you be so sure?"
Indeed, how could he be so sure? For all she knew, it could be him. ...Or it couldn't be, and he could be completely correct about his suspicions. But why not say who it is now? Give Mr. Woo some respectful closure?

Looking about and seeing that most of the staff were still preoccupied with the piano, Marvin leaned over towards Erika and said quietly, "I think it would be wise to wait before accusing Macy of anything. Whether she is innocent or not, she may well turn the gun on anyone accusing her and declare them the murderer."
The voice of Prince Stal carried over across the basement. "Oh, I know who did it. I know exactly who did it, where, and how. But it is so much more enjoyable watching everyone around here panic."
So, the prince thought he knew, did he?
"If you have an accusation to make, then make it!" he called out. This wasn't the time for attention-seeking royals to start making a commotion.

The other princely-figure showed Prince Stal some sort of tabloid article about a kingdom supposedly being taken over. Prince Stal grabbed it and looked at the headline and laughed. "Oh, good show, good show. But clearly all lies and fabricated. Like the will you found earlier that even Macy said was a hoax. You are a bit of a prankster aren't you. But please, let's stay focused on the things at hand here." Prince Stal slapped the young Snaw on the back a bit harder than one would normally expect, giving him a bit of a jolt in the process.
She looked over to Stal, who had spoken these words. She couldn't help it. She called over to him. "You know who the culprit is?" she asked. "How can you be so sure?"
"Why, it's quite clear when you put all the evidence together. You just have to have a keen eye for this kind of thing, you know. Princes like me typically do." He nodded sagely.
"If you have an accusation to make, then make it!" he called out. This wasn't the time for attention-seeking royals to start making a commotion.
"Oh, but I will! I will, good man! But first, you must all have a chance to get it yourself! Then, like one of my brothers, Stalock Holmes, I will tell you the full story as to how it happened in the most dramatic of reveals."

"The will was not a fraud!" Snaw insisted. He showed Stal the will and pointed to the long fingerprint. Then he showed his own stubby fingers. "Just because you consider yourself a Mr. Scooby Doo of this house doesn't mean you shouldn't deny anything anybody else has found!"
Still cautious about the Prince, Snaw held the journal close to him. If Stal had found the journal, then perhaps he would also dismiss this as false. But why would he think that the will was fake.........Unless he wrote it up himself! Snaw realized to himself. I need to find Erika!

Geoffrey noticed Rochelle take a step back as he mentioned her “one true love or something,” and he was all ready to start panicking even more when he heard the narrator describing the bear in the shed - where Hanna was.
Not his sister! As strained as their relationship was, he couldn’t allow anything to happen to her. If he could do anything about it. Without getting too hurt himself, at least.
He was almost considering running toward the garden, and then very slowly and cautiously approaching the shed, to see if there was some possible way he could try to help his sister escape without the bear hurting them, when he heard the narrator talking about Miss Macy’s frustration with everyone’s lack of cooperation.
They were all going to end up being herded back into the hall, it seemed.
And that’s exactly what happened - followed by a rather terrifying display from Miss Macy in which she demonstrated her willingness to go to extreme lengths to make everyone do what she wanted them to do.
Since Geoffrey didn’t particularly want to get shot, he followed the crowd into the basement.
It was rather cramped in there, but worse, the narrator once again went into overdrive with his descriptions of everyone’s speech. Geoffrey found it rather difficult to concentrate on what everyone was saying, until someone mentioned his name -
”I am a good person, you know. A great person. Just ask my brother Geoffrey. Geoffrey will tell you, I'm very nice. Tell them, Geoffrey! Tell them I am not a murderer, but the mansion is!"
“Uh - uh -” Geoffrey struggled to come up with a coherent argument. He was well aware that his sister was crazy, but just as certain that she couldn’t possibly be a murderer.
...Could she?
Maybe she had been driven to desperate measures to escape from the mansion - and honestly, he couldn’t really blame her if that was the case.
But she’d never killed anyone before, no matter how panicked she got.
“Okay, my sister is crazy and obviously the mansion didn’t kill anyone,” said Geoffrey, “at least not by itself - I mean, it didn’t kill anyone, it’s not sentient, it can’t think, though of course something in the mansion may have been used to commit the murderer - but honestly, I don’t think my sister would kill anyone, would she? Wouldn’t that just make the mansion more angry? I mean -”
It seemed that with every word he spoke he was making less and less sense.
He looked at Miss Macy warily; what if she decided to shoot him for not making a coherent argument? But he couldn’t think of anyone who could possibly have committed the murder; the narrator had given no hint whatsoever pointing at any particular person.
Which made him really angry, because of course the narrator knew, the narrator knew everything, but for their own sick and twisted amusement they were withholding this vital information, which could save lives, for God’s sake -
- and the narrator kept right on narrating every single one of Geoffrey’s thoughts, like always -
“SHUT UUUUUUUP!” Geoffrey screamed.
The narrator did not, in fact, shut up.
Geoffrey swore loudly.

"Oh, I know who did it. I know exactly who did it, where, and how. But it is so much more enjoyable watching everyone around here panic," Prince Stal told Alexa. "When you are finished panicking, I will reveal the culprit in due time. In the most dramatic fashion possible!"
Alexa felt cold. Could Prince Stal really have seen something and actually know the killer? She frowned, it could just be his overweening arrogance again. People were calling for quiet, for rational discussion about the murder. She clamped her mouth shut and decided to wait until everyone calmed down and stopped shouting accusations at each other. It would hardly do to make a scene.
Instead she watched the exchange between Stal and Snaw Van Peacock. She started to wonder if this entire thing had been an excuse to bring together some of the most insane people in the world into one house. Nearby, the other Delaney was having a breakdown, trying to express his opinion about his sister. He didn't seem entirely convinced that she wasn't the murderer.
Alexa sighed. This night couldn't be over fast enough.
"Exactly when is the right time for the unmasking of the murderer?" Alexa asked Prince Stal.

"I think it would be wise to wait before accusing Macy of anything. Whether she is innocent or not, she may well turn the gun on anyone accusing her and declare them the murderer."
Erika considered him for a moment. That Miss Macy seemed awfully trigger happy. Erika wouldn't have been surprised if she had been connected to the murder. But she certainly didn't want to get shot.
"Okay," she quietly said back.
"Oh, I know who did it. I know exactly who did it, where, and how. But it is so much more enjoyable watching everyone around here panic," the prince declared. "When you are finished panicking, I will reveal the culprit in due time. In the most dramatic fashion possible!"
Well, great. He was just going to leave them to fight until he said something.
"Wouldn't it be better, Your 'Highness', to say something now?!" she said to him. "They're going to claw at each other with their words until you do -"
Just as she was scolding him, she walked backwards, bumping into Snaw without realizing it.
