I finally did it! I started writing this thing in 2011 (for NaNo, actually) and finally had the time to finish it in late 2012 and earlier this year. Skydwellers is my first finished novel-length work, so I feel that's a huge milestone in the writing career of someone who at one point was hesitant to even call herself a writer. Of course I didn't want to let the thing just sit in my hard drive forever--I wanted to share it with people. The endless complexities of traditional publishing still scare me, and I know a few people who have had moderate success through Kindle publishing, so I decided to use that as my first venue. It was still kind of scary (I guess anything where you have to enter your taxpayer information is), but I persevered, and now I have this to show for it:
