I posted this on one of Megz' board... ;D
I saw two thugs walking past my door. They were the usual, always walking past, before actually seeing my door. But it seemed they were to continue walking down the hall.
Me? I'm a private eye. It says so on my door, in bold-faced letters. I'm Dark Night. I pack a hip flask and a Cobrall Dagger. Mess with me and you're as good as dead.
The doorknob turned, revealing a dame, brown hair, as usual. It looked like I had a case, but from a dame I've never seen before.
She stared me in the eyes, scratching her head as I lifted my hat up to get a better look at 'er. She was an Aisha, an Anthro one. I don't see them everyday, but at least I had a case.
"You're Dark Night, no?" she asked.
"Yup. See," I pointed to a sign on my desk that labeled, 'Dark Night, Private Eye'.
"I see," the dame answered. "I'mMaria Kerazi," she added.
"You gotta case, or not?" I asked, lifting the hip flask from my coat.
"Why wouldn't I?" she replied sarcastically, folding her arms. "My set of golden furniture, and my rare jewels, have been stolen. I need a good private eye on the case."
"Good private eye, eh? You've come to the wrong place, lady. Now, I'll come around by... half an hour. Give me your address, and I'll be by."
"Erm, okay I guess..." Kerazi answered, scribbling her address on a sticky note. "See you soon, then."
"I'll not look forward to it..." I sighed, picking up the note and looking at it. "Say, this is a w-" I began, but she had already left. "Geez..."
It seemed like a very weird address. 852459 Aisha Avenue. I've never seen Aisha Avenue go to the 800,000s. I'd have to check this out, definitely.
