Kristy arrived at the castle and beheld the smashed in doors with some apprehension. However, this seemed the place to find out what was going on, and she didn't think that she and Azzie could be the first people to arrive of the scene. Hopefully, friendly faces would be inside, and they could team up again, like they had in the illusions, to deal with this new situation.
"The door is open, so I don't think they'll mind if we go in," Kristy said to Azzie, trying to hide her own nervousness with a lighthearted joke. "Shall we?"
She turned to look into the Castle. "I'm guessing the throne room would be a good place to start. It makes a nice meeting hall. What do you think?"

Azzie nodded, landing by Kristy. "I guess so..." She tried to ignore her crawling skin. The smell here was rank, not at all like the sweet smell of grass and horses she remembered. "Let's get going." She looked again at the doors and took a step inside. Please let there be friends inside, she thought.

Dragus claps his hands together once then looks between the groups.
"Well, she pretty much told us every outcome. Now it is time to choose the best course to take."
He thinks about it for a moment. Sure fighting her and killing her seemed easiest, but what did it matter if she just came back or they lost. Then there were these talks of the four heroes... He had studied a little on them, not really finding them that important outside what made them legends in the first place. Except for one, Sir Alabaster. He was one he took the most interest in.
"So, four heroes. You say they're out there creating armies right now? Perhaps we should go give them a fight."
He turns to look over at mages.
"What do you say?"
----
Draco was still on his way to the castle when he could see figures in the distance. A lot of them. He runs off the path and makes his way to them. The closer he got, the more he could see and smell them. Zombies, a lot of them. And two figures leading them. He made his way directly at the leaders.

Krisseh stared at Draco. He smelled different from the mages.
She wanted to fight for her friends, the mages, but the corruption held fast. Even her hardest feelings couldn't break through. Even if there was zombies, or not any zombies, she couldn't do it.
She fell into the darkness. Her shininess became dull. The forced smile on her face broke into a dark grimace, wanting to destroy. Even her robes seemed to take a sinister turn.
"we do not follow your orders, For we am against the mages from here on out. My name Was Krisseh, but she is gone now. we shall deal with this threat as we see fit."
Her candypop staff was long gone; it had melted in the desert. Instead, It decided to make something much more efficient. Her right hand started to melt, as a long, slightly curved blade started to form. Her now locked out mind screamed in pain. For a few moments, you could probably see melting jelly where her hand melted, before it reformed, sealing in its own wounds. Her hand had become a katana. Even she didn't know it was possible.
With its new weapon, she leaped at Miss Jensen. It was probably a reckless move, but who knew.

Zephyr blinked at the scout.
“What -”
But the scout had already run off.
“That’s not fair!” Zephyr shouted into the night. “You haven’t given me nearly enough information!” Who was this woman? Where was she and her alleged undead army? How could he even know this was true?
But it was no use; the scout was gone.
Well, even if the veracity of the warning couldn’t be confirmed, it couldn’t hurt to tell someone, just in case.
He headed to the library, figuring that there was always someone there, no matter what time it was. If nothing else, he could find the librarian and try to talk to him. Maybe.

Celestial arrived in the throne room to come face to face with Miss Jensen. She scowled at her, the flames in her hands growing brighter but that was more out of rage than any desire to attack. Something about that overconfident figure both angered her and deterred her.
She listened to what Miss Jensen had to say. Her anger grew but so did the feeling of erring on the side of caution. If the mage attacked now, if she wanted to unleash all her frustration at having been used over the course of the game, she would have most definitely have had her sorry behind beaten into the ground and she needed all the strength she could conserve.
Celestial's flames died down as Miss Jensen finisher her speech. There really did not seem to be any hope for them. She was holding all the aces, the four commanders, a vast undead army, whatever in the Underdeep she was and the artifacts. They were just a ragtag bunch of misfits with no strategy who could barely do anything except roll over and let her take over the kingdom. Unless they joined her...
The mage looked Miss Jensen right in the eyes.
"Never," she said finally, her tone steady and even. "We swore to protect this kingdom, you've already got every single advantage over us as it is and I've had enough of being a traitor."
She paused for a moment as GLQ spoke and nodded. "Agreed. Why do you need this place so much anyway? There are far better kingdoms to conquer, why here?"
Celestial turned as the ninja spoke.
"Not yet. We cannot fight them now, not properly. We need the others. Go fin-"
Her words were broken off by a familiar yell. Krisseh. Who had come back and was now running at Jensen with a sword.
There was no time to lose. Celestial brought down a wall of fire between the jelly creature and...whatever that woman was.
"Krisseh?" she yelled. "Krisseh! Get away from her! That's an order!"
-----
The librarian sat behind his desk, reading a book. It was a book he had read many times but he did not look bored reading it. He did not look like any expression really.
His eyes fluttered briefly as Zephyr came in before they returned to the book. He would not speak unless spoken to.

Growls rumbled in Tiger's throat - but she was glad nobody rushed to attack just yet. The army outside, these four 'heroes', the unknown scope of Jensen's powers...it was a dicey situation. They needed more information.
She didn't think Jensen would actually let them leave to assemble an army, though. That seemed too stupid. Instead, Tiger edged slightly closer to the mages to hide her left hand, and the small songbird solidifying from the mist. Simultaneously, Tiger infused it with her memory of Jensen's words and a route to the Manor; she didn't know if a mist creature would survive her death, but it couldn't hurt to have an ace up her sleeve.
The bird was half-done when Krisseh lunged at Jensen, swinging katana at Jensen. Tiger felt her pupils pinch at the burst of firelight from Celestial's shield - the dilation saved her from having to hesitate when she aimed the half-done mist at Krisseh, bending it into a snake to loop around Krisseh and drag the Usul back, if Tiger's aim was true.
((Edited to correct Krisseh's species. Sorry, Hayati!))

Ellen had been in the form of a mouse for a while. At first to make a lighter load for the kind dragon, then to not have to stare the ancient warlords in the eyes... then not to be seen by whoever the leader was.
Those warlords shouldn't be alive. I know them from the history books! . Yet, they raised an army- of the dead? That's horrible for so many reasons. Those corpses should be resting in peace! If they raised their soldier, who raised them? Their leader? I am so scared of what I don't know.. Cold, cold, killers... They threatened the poor dragon with death, like they where talking about what was for dinner. I do not like those slippery demons one bit. History is too kind to it's victors.
She scurried off Celestial's back before entering the castle. If she was in her human form, she would have dropped to her knees at the sight when she entered.
The Hostess? ..Is the leader? And she's carrying blades, and raising an army and... Oh... oh lord.
Hiding in a dusty corner, she listened as the Ms. Jemson talked about her plan. She almost shifted out of her mouse form in fright. The thoughts rushed and swirled through her head. She was extremely overwhelmed and felt like she'd taken a blow to the gut.
She... she used us! She used me! Exploited to find the means of an end to this wonderful kingdom. I can't take this. I can't believe this. I should of known she was up to something! I shouldn't have thought it was mere dramatic effect!... she can't be killed forever? Oh. My. Gosh. Even defeating her is rather futile. I hope we can manage. AYeeee. She wants us to help her? Not by my grave!
Suddenly, she saw a jelly creature with a malevolent glare in it's eyes rush out at the Ms.Jemson. Then a flash of fire, glaring painfully against her eyes. She only shut it for a moment. She shifted back to human to access her potions. She grabbed a potion for pacifying, one that made someone weak-bodied and weak-willed for three hours. It was a difficult potion, only potent when brewed in the dark. As the snake whipped at the jelly creature, the small girl rushed forward with her fingers on the cork of the vial, to administer the healing dose before the jelly creature died..

Much to Ellen's Relief, Krisseh was still living. she had fallen quite short of her target, due to Celestial's and tiger's Interferance, but she was still in a lot of pain. Tiger's snake did indeed stop her, but due to how frail she was, her leg was pullen off, as a side effect.
Luckily, loosing her foot was what the usul needed to get a hold of herself.
She proceeded to scream, not only in pain, but in sadness as well.
"C-C-celes... T-t-iger... sorry..."
She was out of mana for her magic, thanks to the underdeep. But, she also had a katana for a hand, also thanks to the underdeep.

Zephyr approached the librarian cautiously.
“Ahem.” He coughed quietly, attempting to get the librarian’s attention.
“Excuse me,” he said. “I found a strange individual in dark clothing sitting outside the front door, who told me that he -” She? Zephyr hesitated for a moment before dismissing the matter and continuing. “- had been sent to warn us that there was a woman with ‘some sort of plan’ - his words - who had caused the living dead to rise from the grave. Unfortunately, he ran away before I could get any more information out of him. Do you know of any way we can find out more about this situation, if indeed this person’s words are true? And, if so, is there any particular protocol for dealing with situations of this nature?”

Dragus casually walk over to the mages, keeping a eye on Miss Jensen.
"I believe it would be safest to retreat for now and regroup. We don't have many options for plans, but perhaps taking out these heroes will be the best way to stop her. After all, without a army she can't really do much."
He eyes Krisseh.
"And I think your friend there may need some magical help of some sort."

She takes the healing potion and a pain-numb potion from her bag to Kirsseh "I have six potions here. I have a medium amount of the pacification potion if whatever possessed you acts up again, a large amount of power-boost potion, a small persuasion potion, a small pain-numb potion, and a potion to speed up healing rate, and a large speed potiol, and medium agility potion. I figured I woulds share this, since we have long battles ahead of us it seems. This is the pain and healing potion. Let me bind your leg back on."
She takes a strip of gauze from her bag, and wraps the Usul's leg back onto her body. She pours a bit of the healing and pain numb potions onto the gauze.

Kristy arrived in the throne room just in time to see a Jelly Usul take a leap at Miss Jensen, who had a sword and was in front of the throne. Tiger and Celestial both interfered with this action. She turned away with groan as the Jelly Usul's leg separated from the its owner.
"Um, guys? Would it be a terribly bad time to ask what the heck is going on here? 'Cause, we're a little confused," Kristy called out. "Also, am I going to want to find a weapon, or are we currently safe from zombies? We were told zombies, but ninjas aren't very communicative."
Kristy stopped herself, realizing she was starting to ramble, and it really didn't seem to be the time for rambling.

Zylaa had enjoyed the first two stages of the game of skill well enough, but when the third stage materialized, and it turned out to be the castle of the Beast... well, she did what any sensible, intelligent weasel girl would do.
She headed for the library.
Yes, she had appeared to be a teapot, but she wasn't about to let that stop her.
So her memories of the rest of the game were... hazy, to say the least. But she'd gotten a cut of the winnings, which would definitely be a help. If only the illusory book hadn't vanished as the game ended. It had been just getting to the good part.
Now, late, late, late at night, she finally reached the cliffs where the Weewoo had docked. She patted the railing of the ship idly as she walked onto the deck. It was good to be home.
Hunty stood on the deck. Zylaa threw her arm into a lazy salute for greeting.
"Got some nice, respectably-earned shinies for us," she said. "Fully legal, and a much smaller number of wacky hijinks than usual." Which was true even if you accounted for some of the things that Zylaa had heard went on in the later stages. "This probably means that there's trouble brewing somewhere, though."

Azzie looked around the throne room, quite relieved to see some familiar faces there. She was just about to bound into their midst when she saw Miss Jensen sitting on the throne. "Is everything okay?" she asked, looking with concern toward the group and wondering if perhaps Miss Jensen had missed her ride out of Dunburrow.
Slowly, it began to connect. She saw Krisseh on the floor- the angry postures of her friends- and Miss Jensen, whose face was stonily calm. She scurried over to where her friends stood and spoke quietly. "What's going on?"
