Tiger's 2012 NaNo Thread

~*Whooo*~, another thread for me to be sparse on details and high on wordcounts!

I will say this year, I'm writing a sci-fi novel, something I haven't tried in about ten years (though what I wrote back then couldn't really have been called 'novels' and they weren't very trechnological, but I digress...). Parts of this story have been lurking in my head for about four years now, I just never felt I had time to write it.

This NaNo, though, I changed my mind about cheating and doing a short story collection...and this is the novel I had the most material for =3 I'll call it TL 1 here.

...What's that? Why yes, it is the start of another trilogy! =D

Soooo, yeah. Info like word count and emotional stability will go here once I have it ^^ Good luck to everyone participating - and feel free to hit me up for word wars ;D

Week -4

A log of last week's accomplishments. Should've gone up yesterday but I hit a snag ^^; (Also, Assassin's Creed happened)

• Fixed C's backstory; she seemed far too passive a character (storywise, I mean, she didn't really have a purpose).
  
• Figured out what C and K will be doing while building up to their meeting R and P.
  
• Started to write the backstory and realized I still have some plot holes that need to be repaired. At least they're not waiting until I'm halfway through NaNo this time around...

In other news, I'm still working on the Novel, in the hopes I'll have it DONE before NaNo starts. I'm managing about a page a night, which isn't great but is better than nothing, I guess =/

Week -3

Wednesday - Finished a decent backstory/summary

Thursday - Wrote a short P story and a personality/backstory bit.

Friday - Began the Last Name Hunt for P and his father. I've narrowed the surname to two options, and am picking between three first name's for P's father.

Saturday - Started looking up first names for C's family members and a last name for the whole bunch. Got first names for everyone, but didn't make any decisions on a last name just yet.

Sunday I'll be going to the library in search of information on...well, everything, and during the week I'd like to wrap up naming C's family and some other characters. By the end of the week I'd like to start plot outlining.
