Today in the US it is our annual day of Thanksgiving, where many of us gather together for meals and time with family and friends and reflect on the things that we are thankful for in life. And so I'm going to pause for a moment and express something I'm thankful for.
I am thankful for the last 10 years, I've had a place to hang my hat up here. To be comfortable and relaxed, to grow, to develop friendships that will last a life time, and to witness so much other goodness of people.
I am thankful for the great and close friendships I have from here. From those that put up with my rambling walls o' text to my silly jokes and humor and still others my doubts, fears, and insecurities. I am thankful for the fact that I know of many places in the country (and outside the country) that I could find a familiar face if I were to visit--and likely an open couch to lay my head on for a night.
I am thankful for this forum and all it represents and means to me, and for the people the make up its community.
I am thankful for you.
May those of you in the US have a wonderful Thanksgiving and find time to reflect on the items you are grateful for. And for those of you not in the US, may you have just as wonderful a day anyhow.

I'm thankful that while I have health issues, they're manageable ones. I'm thankful that I have awesome friends. Most of them are online, but that just means that if I ever got the money to travel, I'd have somewhere to go and people to see. I'm thankful that I have the best husband in the whole universe (sorry straight girls and gay guys -- he's taken). I'm thankful that I have food security (true fact, after buying our groceries for Thanksgiving yesterday, the weight of all our supplies literally broke one of the shelves in our pantry) and a house to call my own. I'm thankful for Keebler (even though he's a total dork) and my kitty cats. (I'm also thankful for my fish, but I doubt the fish care about me at all.) And I'm thankful for the people of the NTWF, who are AMAZING and FANTASTIC and AS COOL AS BOW TIES.

Oh, you americans and your awesome holidays! I just love how you guys never forget the true spirit of them! I'm thankful for my amazing and supportive family, even though it's filled with flaws, it works out perfectly well for me. I'm thankful for my body and it's health, I work hard to keep it in shape but my methabolism cooperates. I'm thankful for my attention deficit, I know it's not something to be (usually) thankful for, but it never got in my way - on the contrary - it helped me become who I am, and I like who I am! I'm thankful for my artsy skills, they make me feel whole! I am also thankful for my ancestors that I am so proud of. They were poor and miserable, but they survived and prospered. Gotta admire those wacky italians!

I'm thankful for my family. Though we bicker and generally irritate the crud out of each other, I have some pretty awesome parents and an amazing brother. (as well as a cute dog! ) I'm thankful for my friends, from real life and this forum; without them, I would be literally nothing. I love them so much. I'm thankful for my health. I don't seem to have a lot, if any, issues at the moment, so yay for me! I'm thankful for my brother especially, because he's the best friend I could ever have, and he's taught me so much. We have our little arguments, but he puts up with me, and that's the best thing I could ask for from him. We're also partners in any of our PS3 games that have a co-op option. I'm thankful for smilies. Does this count? Well, I'm adding it in here anyway. \o/ I'm thankful for everyone here at the NTWF. I luffles you guys. <3

I'm thankful that I'm regaining the wonder in my life, and it's going back to a joy I haven't known in about a year: freedom.

I'm thankful for my the fact that Peep (my baby sister) is a year old, healthy, happy, and way too smart for her age.
I'm thankful I can still write and it has been going well this year.
I'm thankful that God loves me in spite of all my imperfections.
I'm thankful for Transformers, I'm not entirely joking about that.
I'm thankful for all my friends, here and on Neo, because without them I really do have no one to talk to, or at least people willing to put up with my random trains of thought.
I'm thankful for the amazing month of grace Rose had in March, and how special that time was for us.
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone. ^-^

I'm thankful for my boyfriend, who gives me another perspective, someone to confide in, and a voice of reason, and for sticking by me during my difficulties.
I'm thankful for the fact that while there are some bad things in my life, it's not the worst it could be, and there's still hope.
I am thankful for earplugs. They keep me sane when I have more trouble with sensory issues.
I am thankful for good life lessons. (Particularly the ones that don't cause too much trauma or whatever, but can't have everything.)
I am thankful for good perspective.
I'm happy that my health is overall pretty good.
I'm thankful for the quiet moments in my life.
I'm thankful for my continued chance to still learn, whatever that learning may be.
I am thankful for good friends.

I'm just so, so incredibly thankful for the wonderful people who shared my Thanksgiving with me. I'm glad that I can surround myself with people who are kind, and funny, and generally just awesome. Even though most of them are not related to me, they are my real family.
I'm also thankful that I didn't burn anything. XD
I'm thankful that I'm in a good situation now, that I've built a life for myself. I'm thankful that happiness is possible, even though for years I didn't believe it. It waited for me.
I'm thankful for my good health and the health of those around me.
I'm thankful for my twin sister, who understands me better than anyone else on the planet.
I'm thankful for my boyfriend, who is so incredibly loving and lovable.
I am thankful that my friends in NYC are alright after the hurricane, and that their homes are ok.
I'm thankful to have a job!
I'm thankful that I live in a cool city full of things to do (and eat).
I'm thankful for the NTWF, for being a constant and dependable place full of fun and creative people.
