Okay. Those of you who have me on Facebook are probably fed up with this by now xD; But I'm just so proud, that I have to share it with y'all! Our little Cookie is a little over 10 months old... and CRAWLING!  Today has just been so wonderful. ^-^  Cookie on her first ride in the bicycle chair =D  Shopping with Cookie is so much better than going on my own. ^-^ Please. Pray for us, that we'll get a home back on the mainland soon, so I don't have to miss out on lil' Cookie's milestones. After having experienced this, my heart has grown significantly and there are no words to describe how much I love my little lady. Thank you for being there for us  The adorableness!  ;D |

I'm not moving this thread to Banter Board, because it's hopefully steering for a brighter coast.
Some of you may know that I've been fighting a clinical depression since Christmas last year. Some of you may also know that I've been attending therapy, coaching and Morgan Freeman knows what else.
But fact of the matter is, that Strife's and my relationship has hit a bump in the road that is preventing me from getting out of this depression.
So we have decided to split up for the time being. Strife will return to the US and stay with his family for a few months, and hopefully that will give him a better perspective on things and me a way out of the depression that is preventing me from supporting Strife and maintain our relationship.
I can't leave the country as long as I am on a paid sick leave, which I will most likely continue to be on until August. So the plans to visit the US in July are down the drain.
But I haven't given up on my education plans.
I will just hope with all my heart that by the time it begins, Strife will have figured out what he seeks in life, and I will have a more positive outlook on things and more spirit and energy to cope with the bumps in the road.
So if all goes according to plan, he will fly to the US on June 1st and will be back in August.
I'll be fine taking care of Cookie by myself. She is still a very easy child to be around.
Sometimes it's easier to deal with an issue when you spend some time apart, and are reminded of the 'good old days' of the LDR.
So here's to hoping.

My parents did a similar thing before. My mom took off to stay with her sister in California, and left us here. A few months later when I normally go to California, we switched (I stayed, she came home). It seemed to work out ok.
