Ever since I joined the site, it's been this guy. Good old Tiki Tack Man. There's just something likable about this guy. Mainly, it's because he has such an air of mystery around him, making him pretty fitting for Mystery Island. He always hides his face, but why? All human characters on the site were pet-ified, but why not him? Is he human in the first place? And then there's his position as one of Mystery Island's elders: The Volcano Mystery plot just made me ask more questions. Jhuidah, the Island Mystic, and the Techo Master. Mystical beings that are masters of their craft. It makes sense they'd be elders. The Tiki Tour Guide also makes sense, if you think about it. Tour Guides should know a lot about the island, logically, so him being an elder makes sense. Then there's the Tiki Tack Man. By all means, he's (outwardly) just a shopkeeper/game runner. And yet...he's an elder as well. What is he hiding? What is he not telling us? I've used him quite a bit in one of my recent stories, but I'm currently planning a big story that focuses on him. Hoping it'll be an interesting take. Honorable mentions go to Professor Lambert, Bruno, King Kelpbeard, Brynn, Hanso, Roxton Colchester III, and Dr. Sloth (purely because of the "pieces falling into place" gag).

My favorite character is Tomos (out of pity). Your thumbnail says otherwise. Your favorite characters are definitely not Jeran, Lisha, Court Dancer, or Kass. Mine are Jazan, Nabile, Kanrik, and Brynnso. ^.^ They're the Dream Team, and by Dream Team, I mean "Most Likely to Murder One Another if Locked in a Closet Together for Too Long." With how much I butcher characters whenever I write about them, I prefer not to mention Jeran or Kass, though to be honest they are my favorite Neo characters. Kass is just a love-to-hate sort of guy (that's 100% how I wrote him, obviously) and Jeran, idk, I've always had a soft spot for the whole "noble knight" thing and adorable brother-sister relationships (THAT'S TOTALLY 100% HOW I WROTE JERAN. ) The things I like most about them in canon maybe aren't the things I write about. Nah, they would get along better than you'd expect. Jazan might be a liittle more tolerant of thieves than he might let on, so I can see him being slightly annoyed by Kanrik but Nabile would keep the latter in line. Pretty much everyone would get along all right (except maybe Brynn and Kanrik) but Hanso would be the butt monkey . . . err . . . Mynci . . . err . . . Ixi.

•Dr. Sloth. He's one of Neopia's most formidable villains, made for two good plots (in 2000 and in 2008), and his hair rivals Donald Trump's in greatness. I wouldn't mind seeing a third plot with Sloth in the future. •Gorix, for them taking one of my favorite species and giving one an epic role in battling Dr. Sloth. •Rohane from Neoquest II. I don't know why, but I like how they took a species that would normally be stereotyped as "goofy" and gave him an epic starring role. •Orrin. This may be an odd reason, but similarly to Rohane, I like how they used a Nimmo - which is usually considered one of the least popular Neopets, and one I personally feel is underrated - and gave him prominence (e.g. in The Cyodrake's Gaze plot). •All of the characters from The Faerie's Ruin, for perhaps having the most personality and character development in all of Neopia's plots. •The guy who hosts Cheeseroller. He's just too easy to troll: •As an amusing ancedote, I remember when back when I was really young (probably around nine), I for some reason was slightly obsessed with these two Chias named the "Jolly Jugglers" from the Neopedia entry for Dice-A-Roo, to the point where I remember including them in one of my really early MS Paint comics. I...have no idea why. Maybe because of how cute and tiny they looked? Either way, imagine my surprise when they got their own Flash game a couple years later. I probably would have included more characters from plots, but sadly my memory of plots in general are a bit fuzzy at the moment.

After thinking about this for a while and coming up with a lengthy list of characters, I decided to go though each world to help organize my list and get my thoughts together. Right now I'm doing Meridell, Darigan Citadel, and Brightvale. Over the week (and possibly the month) I'll add the other worlds. So here they are, starting with my number one favorite character: MERIDELLJeran & LishaStarting with the very reason for this thread, my favorite Neopets character is Jeran. Maybe it's because he's a Lupe, maybe its cause he's a knight/fighter (my preferred RPG style), but there's just something about Jeran I really liked. Jeran is admittedly a stereotypical idea of a knight, chivalrous and noble, but he does have some depth. Much of that comes from his sister, Lisha, wanting to protect and be with her but at the same time has a duty to serve Meridell which always puts him in life dangerous situation. He's conflicted, and also not invincible. While many stories would make the gallant knight undefeatable, during Battle for Meridell (the 2nd Meridell-Darigan war) Jeran lost to Lord Kass during the climatic battle in order to protect Morris and Boris. Though he was saved after being thrown off the Citadel, still it's sort of a grounding point for his character. Of course at the same time this is a contention I have with his character, for Meridell's top knight we haven't really see him do much (heck, Tormund technically is the better Lupe Knight albeit after getting lots of help) and am (or was) hoping in the future something official will come out putting him in a better light. Still, that hasn't seem to dampen his reputation which I think speaks much about his character. Of course we can't forget about Lisha. Is Jeran is the brawn, she's the brains and her intellect has helped save the day. Though like with Jeran, she does has some depth due to her worry for Jeran. She's not just a magic, nerdy, know-it-all; she's a sister of a person who has to constantly put his life at risk. The strongest Jeran and Lisha stories are about their relationship and the length's they'll go for it, Jeran risking his life to assure Lisha (and the rest of Meridell's) safety while Lisha working in the background thinking ways to keep him safe. For a kids site it actually creates an emotional anchor to an otherwise typcial medieval fantasy. Castle DefenderFamously known as the final boss on Meridell's side for Champions of Meridell (1st Meridell-Darigan war), there's a lot of mystery around this character. He's a giant specter which sole duty is protecting Meridell Castle, only released as a last ditch effort. I just think he's an awesome character and while I would like to know more about him at the same time I like him to also remain a mystery. Zafara Double AgentWho does she work for? Well a "double agent" would indicate Meridell (she worked for Skarl to give info to Kass but on Skarl's order) but I don't think she'll have a problem being a triple agent. She's mysterious and I more like her for potential story (and maybe backstory) than what we've seen her do (which isn't much). DARIGAN CITADELLord DariganThough I'm a fan of Meridell, I can agree that Lord Darigan is a much more compelling character than Skarl. There's a lot you can read about him from his actions through the Meridell-Darigan wars. Driven from desperation (and later said to have been influenced by The Three), Lord Darigan goes from a demonic being to a sympathetic victim when its revealed the Golden Orb was stolen from them and they got cursed from it. He watched both his people and himself turn and twist, body and mind, into what they are now; wanting revenge against those who had done this to his people. Sadly deals with The Three usually turn for the worse as his darker emotions got the better of him turning into a true demon needed to be taken down by both kingdoms (so in a twisted way he did unite both kingdoms). But he was not gone, instead having lost his power and became a pitiful creature which a little Usul girl discovered and started taking care of (Sally I would say is an important character, being the only person to show him kindness of what he became and being a Meridellian as well). After saving Sally's family from Kass's army, he fully regained himself and went to make things right, taking back control of the Citadel and being the one to defeat Kass. He's a very tragic figure which has faced through adversity from all sides and has come out a stronger being and ruler for it. While I stand by my opinion that King Skarl isn't as bad as some make it, if I had to choose a ruler I'd choose Lord Darigan. Master Vex (& Yellow Knight)One of Darigan's two most loyal officials (the other being General Galgarroth who doesn't really have much to him), I find Master Vex interesting due to his role in Champions of Meridell and general attitude. The warden of the Citadel's prison, while I get a bit of strictness from him I don't sense he's cruel. Actually, he's mainly bored with only Cellblock helping pass the time, even letting prisoners play him (he promises their freedom if they beat him but not sure if he's serious, not that it matters as he never loss). However what stands out the most to me is that he and the Yellow Knight are the first Darigan and Meridellian to work together. Upon seeing Darigan become his Spector form, Vex didn't take a second to know something was wrong and sent the Yellow Knight to gather both Meridell and Darigan forces. And after they defeated Specter of Darigan it was him who tried to get the Golden Orb (against Skarl and before it disintegrated). I imagine him and Galgarroth probably co-lead the Citadel until Kass took over, locking Vex in the dungeon and throwing Galgarroth off the Citadel. I also want to throw in Yellow Knight here for a quick moment. As I said he and Vex are the first Meridell and Darigan to work together, and while that probably didn't take much convincing on his part he still had to put aside any negative feelings he had against Darigans or Vex who's the one holding him prisoner. I am curious what happened to him after Champions of Meridell, him (and a few others) were probably freed from their imprisonment so where are they now? Returned to their knightly duties? Stayed on the Citadel as sort of ambassadors? Well whatever happened to them Vex and Yellow Knight working together has me liking their characters even if they were side ones. Lord KassDuring Champions of Meridell there didn't feel like there was an equal to Jeran, characters with either below or above him. Come Battle for Meridell and we get Lord Kass. But though I compare Kass to Jeran that doesn't make him any weaker, I'd argue Kass are on of the few terrifying villains Neopets has created. Cruel, calculating, and power to spare, Kass was what Lord Darigan subverted. Of course he too had flaws, I think he was more controlled by The Three than Darigan was showing his power wasn't his own, so when a more powerful fighter like Darigan came back he stood no chance. But still, until that point he was pretty much in control, even defeating Jeran in one-on-one combat (though Jeran was distracted protecting Morris and Count Boris letting Kass get in some decisive blows). The ThreeWhile I have my problems with The Three being retcon into influencing Lord Darigan in the original Champions of Meridell, they're still great villains. The true masterminds behind the Meridell-Darigan wars, they're three spirits of destruction representing how a kingdom falls: revenge, ambition, & greed. Like the devil, they don't use force to destroy but rather making deals giving individuals great power and having their own sins corrupt and destroy. They're reason for doing this is unknown, making them feel like a natural force than three beings, but they're only as strong as an individual will allow them to be and can easily be sent away. I also like how their appearance mirror the sin they represent: Revenge is holding a sword (also has a skull on his hood, hands are clawed despite being a Gelert, and wearing knight armor under his cloak), Ambition's heart is visible and on fire (possibly a visual representation of "burning passion"), and Greed is fat but you can see her(?) skeleton underneath (the ugliness and torn wings also might be part of the theme). They're geat characters with a lot of story potential. Court DancerWhile the Court Dancer didn't do much in Battle for Meridell she's oddly another character I see much potential in. She's the daughter of Morguss and was used as a weapon to enchant Skarl's court to prevent Jeran receiving aide during Kass's initial invasion. However if additional images are anything to go by her talent for dance wasn't just to trick Skarl's court, she seems to love to dance which is a side of a Darigan you wouldn't think to see. She's also an example of the sinister lengths Kass (and as well Morguss) would go, using a child (she's at least a teenager) as a weapon and sending her into a dangerous situation where being caught could mean her life. Still, she followed the plan and played her part flawlessly until Lisha broke the spell which was the turn of the battle for Meridell. She's a character with a lot of story potential, if only for how she must felt being used by her kingdom and own mother as a tool of war. BRIGHTVALERobertaStarting out as just the scrollery shopkeeper, TNT expanded her role as Hagan's (and Skarl's) niece (meaning there's at least a third sibling or a cousin). She further was expanded upon when chosen to be the co-star of The Darkest Faerie plot. You may be wondering if I'm picking Roberta why not also Tormund? Well, while Tor is an okay character, he sort of feels like a mini-Jeran (which makes sense as his role model is Jeran). However Roberta isn't an expy of Lisha letting her be more unique in personality. She's a princess and so is being taught to be a scholar but what she really wants to be a sorceress. Okay, maybe not so unique if you watched a Disney film, but that just means you can familiarize with her and she has a character arc which could go a few ways. Well, she gets her wish but not in the way she wanted when the Darkest Faerie took over and now her and a young knight from Meridell are the only ones who can save the world. Like Lisha, Roberta is the brains but she doesn't flaunt it. She's also more mature contrast to Tormund's eagerness. This means while you're with Tormund personality wise, you're with Roberta more logically. And as I said I feel she has a chararacter arc which is (or could be) more developed upon.

Man, it's funny seeing how different my characterizations were a few years back. Now I imagine Kass being MUCH older (in his early 50's or late 40's, I guess) so his rivalry was more with Arthur than with Hunter. After he had Arthur killed, he moved on to Jeran. However, he never took Hunter seriously, which was part of his downfall. I also want to play him up as a shadow archetype for Claudus. Both of them are monstrous, but Kass knows he's doing horrible things and enjoys them, while Claudus is a nutjob who thinks everything he does, no matter how horrible, is good and justified.
Xandra's a little more Ax Crazy now. I still play her as semi-sympathetic. However, instead of a Faerie ruining her life, her village was destroyed by a villain (I can't think of a SPECIFIC one, though) and she blamed the Faeries for not helping. She doesn't have much of a chance of turning "good" the way Jazan did. She might be convinced to help the good guys, but she'll still be kind of an unstable nutjob. At BEST she'd become True Neutral.

I'll probably just slyly put a few of my favorite characters here (don't mind meeee) JERAN and LISHA. I might have a bit of a problem with my love for this dude, and I'm not totally sure why I like him. I guess the "knight in shining armor" trope always wins me over, and I like the added twist of him (and his sister+friends) coming from the future to the past, which lends an interesting and more emotional dimension to them.) Time travel doesn't always make sense but it doesn't seem to matter to me--I like the bond he shares with Lisha; they're the only family they have for each other. DARIGAN. He's pretty much Neopia's first anti-villain and one of the more developed characters in the site. Champions of Meridell was arguably the only Neo plot with any sense of moral ambiguity, with no side was totally in the right or totally in the wrong. His return as a hero just cemented a lot more about his character, and the small drips of bits and pieces of plot from BfM just added that much more intrigue to his character. If you think about it, he actually has a very neat arc of character development--which the inclusion of the Three kind of lambasted a bit but, you know. KASS. I don't really know why I like him. He was a pretty straightforward an intimidating villain even if he was beholden to the Three, which I guess added to his character. They made it so that he was very scary and very weak at the same time. COURT DANCER A bit of an ephemeral character. Like the Zafara Double Agent, she's a bit of a blank slate--there are some neopedia articles which imply she really does like dancing, and Morguss' gallery of evil entry suggests her going to dance was Morguss' idea. But what her motivations are are really up in the air. AMIRA. Or as I like to call her, "Princess Princess," because that's what "Amira" means. She's not a particularly deep character but you can surmise a few things about her appearances: she's stubborn, powerful, and dearly loved by the people of Sakhamet. Her visual design has always been my favorite in all of Neopia. SOPHIE and BRUNO. Another brother/sister pair makes my list, but of a very different nature! Tale of Woe was really the first plot I was around for on Neopets, and though I didn't participate I really liked reading the comics (except the parts where they're like "WE HAVE TO CHECK EVERY SINGLE THING EVER", which confused poor little little Moni when she didn't know anything about site plots. They're very different characters with very interesting and tragic backstories in their own life and were the first characters to really capture my imagination on Neo. Bruno brought the curse on Neovia and had to live in hiding, and Sophie was abandoned, a pure heart turned acerbic with her trials growing up by herself in the haunted woods. Together . . . they fight crime into a bittersweet ending? BRYNN. Is the most awesome character in TFR--and by "awesome," I of course mean "relatable." She's just a woman trying to do her job as the Captain of the Guard and keeping her annoying friend in check, and gosh darn it is she going to follow through with it. She's the average Joe and Straight Man in the plot, and I just find something like that refreshing in a land of ROYALS and THIEVES and MONSTERS. MIRA has another one of the coolest designs on Neo. She looks very agile, and while I don't really know much of her in the plots, she definitely looks otherwordly. I've always thought a faerie with not only little ties to faerieland but also to Neopia to be very interesting--it kind of departs from my idea of a "typical" faerie, and makes me think there's a lot more going on with her than we've ever been privy to . . .

DELMA HARRENCE Delma is just so darn beautiful and she was the reason why I chose to support Faerieland in the first Altador Cup. Of course, Faerieland totally failed at the tournament but that made me like her even more because I wanted to see her succeed. Altador Cup II rolled around and they failed at that too but it became quite clear that Delma would be my favorite player in the entire tournament. While she doesn't have a defined personality outside of the Neopian Times, I like her because I imagine her as having a sweet yet strong spirit; one that refuses to give up and let defeat define her. ARMIN THE SMALL GAAAAAHHH!!! So adorable! Somehow, I fell in love with the bori species when they were first released and I took an instant liking to Armin when he first appeared in Hannah and the Ice Caves. He seems to be a gentle, young Neopet yet he is also brave and loyal. He saves Hannah from freezing in a blizzard even though she was a total stranger at the time and he was quick to go to the aid of his fellow bori when he learned that their ancient nemesis, The Bringer, had been released. RASALA THE BRIGHT I can't really say why I took a liking to Rasala. She's a bori, yes, and she's also beautiful but I think the biggest things to like about Rasala come from her cautious attitude towards magical and how dangerous it can be. From my view of things, she didn't become the head of the Order because she was ambitious but rather because she had the wisdom and leadership skills required for the task. She may be a bit forceful at times, but overall she has her heart in the right place when she ensures that magic is kept under control and not misused by those who seek power. KAYLA Young, innocent and clever, Kayla has a passion and a special talent for magical potions. While she is a cute zafara, which is a big factor in why I like her so much, Kayla is a lovable character because she knows how to dream big and that hard work is the key to achieving dreams. She always idolized Kauvara and wanted to be like her, so when the opportunity to work as a potion-maker came by she jumped on that opportunity, studied hard and made a big difference in the Battle for Meridell with her petpet-growth potion. Even though her name is written in the Gallery of Heroes, Kayla still continues to work hard at her hobby; she is not one to take it easy even when she has fame and success. WINBERTO SELIZ There's not much to say about Winberto. He's a cute wocky and if Delma wasn't on Team Faerieland I probably would've pick Team Altador for him and Timu. MIPSY When I saw the introduction page to NeoQuest II, I really wanted to have this blue acara in my party. Imagine how glad I was when Mipsy was the first companion to come along on Rohane's adventure. She's cute (all my favorite characters seem to be cute ^^), smart and talented and she is not the kind of character you would want to mess around with given the powerful spells she has at her disposal.

ALTADOR:King Altador:How can I talk about my favorite characters and not talk about King Altador? He's one of the characters with the most depth on the site; it's not often that I tear up (at least for stuff on Neopets) but, darn, that Advent Calendar animation. A hunter from a poor village who gathered and built up a kingdom, was elected king and had the city named after him by all his fellow Council members (but not himself), a good and honest king who always tried to do the right thing and never take an easy way out, someone who dared to trust and befriend a Dark Faerie and had them be good, and even when betrayed still feels as hurt if done by any Council member (wondering if there was anything he could have done to prevent it). The Darkest Faerie:On a similar note, though mainly presented as a stereotypical villain, the Altador Mini-Plot did a lot to make her similarly indepth. What is her past before helping King Altador, who knows, but whatever she did it must have been bad for her to be stripped of her name. Yet, on a whim, she helped one day saved a lupe hunter, one who made friends with her and invited her to be part of a growing kingdom. And for whatever reason, she not only accepted but for a while was doing good. But yet she couldn't fight her nature, she wanted to use her magic to make things easier and even have Torakor's army take over other kingdoms to force them to join. She still had the city's best interest at heart, she just wanted to do something grander. If anything she represents the darker site of King Altador's ambition, what he could have done if he didn't hold tight to his morality. Even the Darkest Faerie agreed with him whenver he rejected her grand ideas... and sadly it started forming resentment. Where King Altador started to settle the Darkest Faerie wanted to continue, began seeing King Altador slowing down or thinking too small. Where once she saw the Altador Council being worthy to rule all she began seeing just herself. And then she made her move, guided by ambition and conceit, but fueled by resentment and maybe even regret. Other Council Members:Now its not that I don't consider the other Council Members not interesting or I don't like them, but I feel they're less developed. I like many of their backstories and they all showed why they eventually became a member of the Council. Siyana warning a village of Neopets at risk of her life, Kelland becoming a sort of Robin Hood, Florin's dedication to his craft saving countless lives by discovering a cure for a crop disease, Torakor going up against a tyrant commanding officer and gaining an army's trust for it, Marak trying to maintain peace with surface dwellers with both delegation and non-lethal force, Fauna's kindness with animals calming and saving the life of a misunderstood beast, Psellia giving her all to save a falling Neopet, Gordos standing up to a greedy leader and rejecting their bribe of wealth, and Sasha's joyful dancing bringing up the spirits of a town who's festival was destroyed by a storm. The only one I find kind of dull is Jerdana's, but her story was to more show her friendship with Altador (and she still showed off strong magic by scaring away a pack of Werelupes). King Altaor and the Darkest Faerie are the more developed, but I still felt the others deserved a mention. Techo Fanatic:Just love the layers that have been added to him over the years. Started as just a background character, he became popular with the players that TNT made prizes based on him. Then had him star in his own game. And then revealed all this promotion work had led him to owning a huge mansion, a butler, and all sorts of Altador Cup memorabilia. And despite that he still acts like he has always, as a rabid fan of the Altador Cup.

Yaaaall I don't even know where to start Sophie and Bruno have such deep backstories, especially Sophie, at least to me her character has a lot of meaning. Like, she was the only one in the entire town who didn't take the potion, because she was happy with herself. Perhaps it was because she was so young and hadn't gotten a chance to essentially be "taught" to hate herself, like everyone else did. Everybody else in the town saw flaws in themselves and ultimately worrying over supposed trivial things was what brought them all down, except for Sophie. But then as she gets older, after working so hard to cure the town, she's just downright exhausted and her failure each year of saving them led to her slowly disliking herself. And when I was little I didn't like the ending of her choosing to stay in her shack because I didn't understand why she wouldn't have wanted to go back to what she's striven for for so long. But now that I'm older I understand it. She's so tired and broken and she just doesn't want to have anything to do with anyone or anything or anybody. And tbh that's a really relatable character growth and aaaaah it's just so realistic I love her;;; Tor and Roberta: These two have such important and realistic character development okay. Like when we first meet Tor and Roberta, they both have very very different lifestyles and upbringings but both of them have aspirations that fully contradict their current states of being. Tor is from the countryside in a low class family, but he wants to be a part of the Meridell squire and knighthood more than anything. Whereas Roberta was raised to be a proper and classy lady and take up the role of a diplomat, which prevents her from pursuing sorcery and the arcane. And I think this is something that so many others can relate with in the sense of having to break away from something you've always known in pursuit of adventure and new discoveries, whether it be moving to the city you've always dreamed of or being the first in your family to fight for a higher education. Tor did things that nobody else in his family thought he would be capable of, and Roberta fought against the royalty that she was a part of just to have a taste of the unknown. I just I love them both so much cries Hannah also has a special place in my heart, because she was my very first influence that girls are not just fragile flowers and are so, so much more. (I identified as a girl at the time so I'm going to speak about her on behalf of my former "girlhood" as a youngin.) I've been part of the Neopets community ever since I was seven, and I remember thinking to myself when I played HatPC and read her neopedia articles, hey, I wanna be strong and brave like her, I don't want to be a girly girl, I want to be a tough girl just like her. And when the HatIC plot came around when I was eight, I was over the moon to see her just breeze through obstacles in ancient tombs and fight in battle. I really never did have any other influence to tell me that I could be a girl and be strong and not have to fit the stereotype of a girl, Barbie was too interested in clothes and Bratz were too interested in boys. I'm babbling a bit on this one but ye Hannah is a great strong female character and I'm glad that she was the one to teach me I could be strong when I was little heheh And I'm low on spoons so I'll finish this with Rutu my precious aroace baby haha;; I just love her so much and I love this NT story about her (which is just so perfect that I'm basically taking it as Neopets canon since there isn't much full backstory to her anyways lol), again like Sophie, in that NT story I didn't really understand her motivations in the end bc I was like 15, but now I totally get it and I'm taking it as canon it's just so so perfect and realistic and just go read it please it's so amazing Also just as a last note may I point out that Neopets has so many absolutely amazing, strong, and empowered female characters? Like here check out this post and just man I'm so happy I had Neopets to grow up with

I love these two! Lanie and Lillie look so innocent and yet you know there is a darkness lurking beneath the surface. There's more to them than meets the eye, and if pressed to the point, I think they could truly be dangerous. They have subtly hinted that they are responsible for Neopets disappearing (though they deny it). There's also the cool fact that they are clearly based off the Grady girls from "The Shining". I find Professor Lambert fascinating too. I identify with his bookish and intellectual personality. He also has great fashion sense, as does the next character in this list... I know Sandro is kind of an odd choice, but he just really appeals to me for some reason. I guess I've always liked fussy, prissy characters. He also has amazing hair. He really should have been nominated for that Neopie a few years back. I could see him winning that one! I imagine him being a lot like Niles from the sitcom "Frasier". He figures into a lot of my Neopets stories, where I enjoy developing his personality further. Sophie is so sassy and just overall a great character. I like how the Tale of Woe explains her backstory, and shows that beneath her tough exterior, she really cares for her family and it frightens her to have seen them turned into monsters. Ir's also hilarious how she can't stand Gilly. I pity poor Bruno. He's such a sweetheart! It's so sad, yet also unfortunately very realistic, that he was so insecure with who he was and was so desperate to change himself to impress Lily that he took the Hissi Oil and paid a terrible price.
