Dinner..!? In my day, you were lucky if you had a insect fly into your mouth! At least that was food...

My, my, we never had insects flying in our mouths in my day; they were far too big. Why I remember one time a hoard of wasps turned my house into a nest.

At the very least, you had a house to hide in; in my day, you were lucky if you could buy a decent box!

A box! You were so lucky to have a box! In my day, you were rich if you could have a piece of paper to sit on!

Well, in my day, there was no paper! We had to use mittens! Eye-burning orange mittens!

In my day, mittens were for the kings! We only had a piece of string, shorter than the width of a dime!

What's all this about kings, implying a functioning system of government? Why, in my day the one who decided things was the one with the biggest rock.

Rocks? When I was a kid we dreamed about rocks. All we had was the primordial ooze, and we had to like it!

Dreaming? Implying time for sitting around being idle?! In my day, you were lucky if you had two seconds spare to have time to remember your own name!

Oh you were lucky to have 2 seconds! In my day, we didn't even have one second! We had one millisecond to our name!

You're really lucky, you know that?
In my day, there was too much free time for everyone's own good. Everyone ended up dying of boredom except for the few who could find new ways to have fun.

In my day, we didn't even have fun! Everyone was just sitting around miserably!

A name? A name!? You blasphemous child! In my day, we were identified by numbers!
[edit:]
At least you could afford to sit! In my day, all we could do is cower, afraid of mutant attacks or radioactive hurricanes!

In my day, we were lucky if we had radioactive hurricanes! Instead, our planet kept blowing up into smithereens!

Well, in my day, we lived on a planet who was evil and kept demanding we sacrifice ourselves to it! We were very very lucky to be able to move to Earth.
