As the figure approached the immense castle doors, it muttered something like this: “Destroius” As he said this, the castle doors blew down with an extreme crash! He blasted every door until finally he found one that had the emblem of a king on a throne. He knew that King Sklarl resided in there. He knocked on the door, two guards opened it. “What business have you with King Sklarl?” the guards said in unison.
“If I told you, you would die of fright, mortals!!” And with that, he ducked under the guards' legs and went up to King Sklarl. “King Sklarl, I offer you a deal. I will protect your kingdom from harm, but you must pay me your orb in exchange, and if you refuse, I will do the opposite, destroy Meridell!” the hooded figure said.
“First, let me see who I am dealing with,” the fat Skeith said.
“You need not see because I can tell you who I am. I WAS the king of Maraqua until your army passed and destroyed my city in search for the orb!!” the figure said.
“I remember him now,” Jeran said after a while.
“No deal, no way!” King Sklarl said gruffly.
“Suit yourself,” the hooded figure said. The figgure vanihed.
In the Human world
“Hi Mom! I’m home,” Mike said as he got in the door.
Mike was a nice kid who was never mean and was always helping out. Mike, although nice, was a bit stubborn. Also a bit slow in the head.
“Hello, Mike,” his Mom said.
Mike threw his backpack onto the floor, ran upstairs, and logged onto NEOPETS to go to Meridell to do his daily round of Turdle Races. He went there but, the page just displayed these words: “This page has gone missing!” below it said, “Beware of the Hooded Figure.“ Mike thought, “How can web page info go missing, and who is The Hooded Figure?” Pondering this, he went to do a quest for Illusen, but the same thing happened. He kept on roaming around when he saw that he had found a Tai-Kai codestone. He went to the inventory, but he saw, instead of a codestone, an item called DC Transporter. He double-clicked on the item, and the computer immediately went blank. Although he knocked on the computer, it wouldn’t reboot. Suddenly, in the center of the computer, a hole was being ripped. When it opened fully, a blue beam not a man eating bunny mind you came out of the computer and shot out across the room. Mike foolishly stepped in and blacked out.
“Mike!” a voice rang loud.
“Shoy!” Mike exclaimed.
Shoy was a calm and peaceful Shoyru, but in times of need, he could really use his fists. He was always a very faithful pet and would listen when he was asked to. He was always making friends, but he also had a huge downside; he sometimes could be a bit arrogant.
“How.?Why.?Where..?” Mike said, stunned.
“To answer your first question - How did I get you here - now you might think that we Neopets are magical creatures that can interfere with the web, well, your wrong! So back to the point, the device that you have in your so called “pocket” is called a DC Transporter. A DC Transporter is a Data Connector Transporter and is what you received while transporting here.” Shoy said outa breath.
“Wait but where.....”
“I still didn’t finish nuckle head! So as I was saying it enables you to transport from your world to my world and back to yours before any time has passed in your world,” Shoy said.
“Oh, I see,” Mike said sounding like he didn’t understand.
“Question number two -- Why are you here -- I called you in to help me save Meridell from destruction. You probably have already experienced some missing info. You have not seen things from my point of view though. I have seen corruption in Meridell for the past few days now, including souls being stolen, kidnapping, disappearance of data, and more!
“I know that seems a little odd, but, well, its true,” Shoy said with a last breath.
“Um...well…if you say so," Mike said.
"I do say so,'' Shoy said.
"What are we supposed to do about it?" Mike questioned
“Well, I guess we could try to find this dark force and eliminate it, and then, you can return home,” Shoy said.
“Where should we start?” Mike inquired.
“Well who is Meridell’s worst enemy?” Shoy asked.
“ Uh.... Sloth?” Mike said.
“No, how about looking over to Lord Darigan? Yeah, somewhere there!” Shoy said with an air of arrogance.
“Ok, but how do we get to his citadel?” Mike said.
“Are you forgetting the war is going on now Because if you did, I’m going to have to put YOU up for adoption!” Shoy said obnoxiously.
“Lets go to the Battle Dome then!” Mike said.
“Ok just promise me you’ll say were on his side not Meridells,”
“I will,” Mike said.
