Here goes...
The Air Faerie’s Sword: Part One

I suggest you read this story and that story before you read this one (if you haven’t already done so). If you do, you will understand the story far better, because this is a sequel. Also, there’s something I’ve always meant to say - almost all of the stories I write are stereotyped one way or the other, usually against Dark Faeries. No offense to Dark Faerie fans, because I’m actually one too! Enjoy the story!

***

Jhudora looked intently into her Jhudora’s Crystal Ball, which she was very fond of. "What are Luperusse (pronounced Loop-er-rus) and Skeithena doing right now?" she asked the Crystal Ball. "I will take revenge on them for spoiling my plans so many times!"

The inside of the Crystal Ball seemed to form a picture - a Baby Aisha, which Jhudora recognised as Fluffy, an Aisha whom Luperusse and Skeithena often babysat.

"Aha!" said Jhudora triumphantly. "Now, are there any Musho Peas in the house?"

The image of the Baby Aisha melted into a Pea and Ham Baby Food tin, with a cross over it. "Excellent, excellent..." said Jhudora, satisfied. She took two crates (that she had once used to try and kidnap Luperusse and Skeithena) in each of her hands, and flew out of her Cloud.

***

Jhudora stuck her index finger out towards the door of Sharon’s (the owner of Luperusse and Skeithena) house. "Open!" she commanded, in a deep voice. The door opened silently.

"Sharon, Jess, is that you?" Skeithena’s voice rang out. "You’ve already come back?"

Jhudora didn’t bother to answer. She just put Skeithena and Fluffy in one crate, and Luperusse (who was still holding a delicious Rose Shake in one paw) in another. Of course, she didn’t forget to lock the crates, with a large, old-fashioned key of hers, made out of some purple metal, with little bright-green wings. Once sure that the crates were securely locked, Jhudora flew back in the direction of Faerieland.

In their crate, Skeithena and Fluffy looked at each other, petrified.

***

"All right, I’ve got you now, you three," cackled Jhudora. She waved her hand, and the doorway to the Cloud was sealed, so that no one could go in - and no one could get out. Jhudora opened the crate that Fluffy and Skeithena were in, and took Fluffy out, closing and locking the crate door again. Jhudora faced Fluffy. "Aisha, open your mouth!" she barked.

Fluffy did not answer, or do anything, so Jhudora held her nose, and Fluffy would run out of air, unless she opened her mouth, and, of course, she did. Jhudora smiled with satisfaction and stuffed a Jhudaberry Omelette, which would make her a slave of Jhudora, straight down Fluffy’s throat - she didn’t even have time to chew it.

In an instant, just as Luperusse had once before, Fluffy transformed into a green-and-purple Aisha, grew up in size, and she was now a slave of Jhudora. Jhudora slaves could only be turned back to normal if they ate an Illusen food. Skeithena and Luperusse cried out in horror.

Luperusse, still holding the Rose Shake, threw it through the bars of the crate at Fluffy, who Jhudora had picked up. But just in time, Jhudora dropped Fluffy - now, instead of Fluffy drinking the Rose Shake, it was Jhudora who drank it. Of course, the Rose Shake was supposed to cure Fluffy from her Jhudora-slavery. But now all hope was lost.

But, both Luperusse and Skeithena noticed, Jhudora was changing miraculously. Her clothes changed, the colour of her clothes changed...within thirty seconds, Jhudora had become Illusen. But while Jhudora had been transforming, Luperusse, whose crate was next to his throne, sneaked a couple of Jhudora’s Potions into his crate.

"I look like Illusen now!" wailed the Jhudora who now looked like Illusen. "Oh, the shame, the shame!" She reached for her Dark Faerie Wand, and tried to use it on Luperusse, who had thrown the Rose Shake, but nothing happened, because only Dark Faeries (and some NeoPets) can use the Dark Faerie Wand. "I can’t even use my own weapons!" she screeched. "Idiot Lupe! Idiot Rose Shake! I’M AN ILLUSEN WITH JHUDORA’S MIND TRAPPED IN IT! Oh, but then..." The Jhudora-Illusen smiled, with an evil glint in her eye. "Aha! I know what I will do! Now, you, Luperusse, and you, Skeithena, shall come with me...so that you won’t wreak any havoc in here while I’m gone...Aisha, stay here..." She unsealed the entrance of the Cloud, flew out with the crates of Luperusse and Skeithena, and sealed the door again, the way a Neopian would lock their Neohome door.

***

Illusen stared at Jhudora-Illusen in shock. "I’m seeing double!" she cried, putting her hand on her forehead.

"You’re not," Jhudora-Illusen said, snatching Illusen’s Blade.

"My Blade!" squealed Illusen. "My double has stolen my Blade! My precious sword! Help! Help! Chia Police! Help!" But of course, no one came. Everyone in Meridell, of course, was busy counting potatoes and building turnips, and doing such other things. Most of them had decided that Illusen’s Quests were a waste of Neopoints. The Earth Faerie took up her Staff and Jhudora-Illusen and Illusen began to fight.

"You’ve still got a couple of Jhudora’s Potions," Skeithena grinned, looking at Jhudora-Illusen and Illusen, who were now having a tug-of-war over Illusen’s Staff, which was obviously the more powerful weapon. But earlier on, Jhudora-Illusen had been holding the Illusen’s Blade and Illusen had been holding her Staff - that had been the only way Skeithena and Luperusse could distinguish the two of them. Now, both "Illusens" looked identical, and the two NeoPets had no means of telling the difference between them.

Luperusse murmured back, "What use will they be? I took those Jhudora’s Potions for self-defence. If I knock Illusen and Jhudora out with this Potion, they’ll just wake up and continue fighting. I think Jhudora will win. Illusen really does fight much in her life, and Jhudora does. So, say Jhudora destroys Illusen, and then she’ll just," he gulped, "do the same to us."

Skeithena nodded. "I agree with you, but there’s no harm in trying. The Jhudora’s Potion bottles are pretty small, and the gaps between the crate door bars are pretty big. Do you think I’ll be able to throw the Potions at them?"

"Skeithena, Skeithena, Skeithena!" sighed Luperusse. "You STILL think that the Potions will help? Honestly, Luperusse, you are just too stubborn. Just because I knock them out doesn’t mean - "

But the Skeith had already snatched both Potions from Luperusse and was getting ready to hurl a Potion at one of the "Illusens". The Potion hit the Illusen on their right.

The Illusen who had not been hit grinned evilly at Luperusse. "Ha, thanks for helping me defeat my opponent, Luperusse my friend, or rather, my ex-slave! Now, I’ll just take this Staff, destroy you two, and take over Neopia! MUAHAHAHAHAHAHA! The Staff is even more powerful than my Wand...Perhaps being Illusen is not such a bad thing!" She yawned widely, not bothering to cover her mouth (Just because a Dark Faerie is transformed into an Earth Faerie doesn’t mean she’ll have better manners).

While Jhudora-Illusen was yawning, Luperusse threw the Jhudora’s Potion into her mouth. Jhudora-Illusen swallowed it without meaning to.

Because Jhudora-Illusen had swallowed the Potion, it had a strange effect that no known Neopian had ever seen before. Jhudora-Illusen fainted, while she transformed back into her Jhudora self. Both Skeithena and Luperusse knew that Jhudora couldn’t touch any of Illusen’s weapons now.

"All right," said Luperusse, "I admit that you saved Neopia by turning Jhudora back into her former self - like Jhudora herself said, Illusen’s Staff is more powerful than the Dark Faerie Wand. But we have a tiny little problem here. Even if you saved Neopia, you didn’t save us!"

Skeithena grinned. "That’s the beauty of my plan. The last time we were caught in these crates, you said that you couldn’t eat the crate. But, did you remember Fluffy picking the lock with a spoon handle? The spoon handle was nowhere as sharp as our claws. So why don’t we pick the lock now?"

"Okay, genius," said Luperusse dryly, still unconvinced that the plan would work. He stuck his claw in the lock, and turned it, as Skeithena had told him to. Much to his surprise, the door made a soft clicking noise and gave way.

Skeithena and her brother stepped out of their crates. "Nice to be in the fresh air again," Luperusse remarked. "Thanks, sister."

***

Jhudora opened one eye. She still felt quite tired from being knocked out. Nevertheless, she soon felt alert and awake again and watched the two NeoPet siblings talk.

"We better go back to Jhudora’s Cloud, now," said Skeithena. "Fluffy’s there, we should rescue her, and then just bring her back home."

"How are we supposed to rescue her?" asked Luperusse scathingly. "It was only luck that I threw the potion at Jhudora, you know!"

"I know that!" answered the yellow Skeith patiently. "We’ll have to find SOME way to save Fluffy...No arguing, Luperusse!" she told her younger brother. "We better get there quick, before Jhudora wakes up!"

They walked off. Jhudora smiled, and used one of her wide range of Dark Faerie abilities - Shroud. This spell made her ninety-nine percent invisible to all creatures of good faith, in this case, Skeithena and Luperusse. After casting Shroud on herself, she followed the two silently.

She soon went a little ahead of them, then a little more ahead of them, then WAY ahead of them, for Faeries naturally travel faster than NeoPets. She soon arrived at her Cloud. She went in.

Her instructions to her waiting Baby Aisha slave were short and terse. "Attack the Skeith and the Lupe when they come in, Fluffy," she commanded.

Fifteen minutes later, Skeithena and Luperusse strode into the Cloud. They faced a hissing, spitting, growling Aisha. They knew that her long, sharp, white fangs were very dangerous, and that they were unarmed. They knew that just about nothing could save them now.

The Air Faerie’s Sword: Part Two

Skeithena and Luperusse had no weapons, and had a fierce Aisha in front of them, but there was one tiny ray of hope for them, they knew.

Jhudora hadn’t locked the door. Luperusse tried to stifle a laugh at Jhudora’s forgetfulness. A Neopia-famous villain forgetting to lock her prisoners in!

Luperusse and Skeithena exchanged glances, and ran out of the door as fast as they could. Jhudora climbed upon Fluffy’s back, and cackled, "Hah! You two stupid young NeoPets! You think you can run from us, eh?"

The ‘two stupid young NeoPets’ didn’t bother to reply or look back, and just ran as quickly as their legs could carry them.

"Quickly, to the Hidden Tower!" cried Skeithena. "There we can take those items and fight Jhudora and Fluffy off!"

***

Soon, Skeithena and Luperusse arrived in the Hidden Tower. The Faerie Queen Fyora wasn’t in the tower. She’s probably gone away for a meeting, or something, decided Skeithena. They were way ahead of Jhudora and Fluffy, and could hear Jhudora’s shouts.

"Hmph! I should have known that Baby Aishas can’t climb stairs properly! Hurry up, Fluffy, or else we won’t be able to catch those two stupid NeoPets by the time it’s the Month of Sleeping!"

Back at the Hidden Tower, Luperusse and Skeithena were looking at the weapons on the shelves.

"Quickly!" hissed Luperusse, helping himself to an Ice and Fire Blade. "Go on, Skeithena, don’t just stand there gaping, get a weapon!"

"Okay, okay," muttered Skeithena, taking a Air Faerie Sword from one of the shelves, "calm down."

"How do you expect me to calm down when - " the two spun around, and saw Jhudora at the stairway, her Dark Faerie Wand in hand, and Luperusse gulped, "when Jhudora’s here!"

Jhudora smiled, and waved her Dark Faerie Wand. The purple blast of light zapped towards Luperusse, who skillfully defended it with his Ice and Fire Blade. The blast bounced off the flat of the Blade towards Skeithena. She quickly dodged it with her lightning speed, but not without dropping the Air Faerie Sword! The Sword shattered into a thousand tiny pieces.

Suddenly there was a flash of white light and the Uber-Air Faerie appeared.

"Hidden Tower thieves! Jhudora and her servants coming to steal Faerie treasures while Fyora is away giving quests out to Neopians! I am here, for I could feel one of my most treasured weapons breaking, all the way from my Neohome!" she cried in her soft voice. "Do you have any idea just how fragile my Sword is?"

"Sorry, Uber-Air Faerie," said Skeithena sadly. "I’m really, really sorry, ma’am."

"Quiet, accomplice of Jhudora! Now, Jhudora, what do you have to say for yourself, before I call all the other Faeries here?"

"I would just like to say, that, uh, this new type of Mutant Aisha, and, erm, her friends dragged me here. They were, er, trying to...t-to frame me!" she said, stuttering quite a bit. "Honest!" she added.

The Air Faerie nodded, showing no emotion. She clapped her hands together and called, "Uber-Faeries of Neopia! Come!"

There was a flash of pink light. The Faerie Queen appeared, tossing back her lovely hair. She had a can of Achyfi in her hand, which Skeithena immediately assumed was one of the quest items that she had asked for.

There was a flash of green light. The Earth Faerie came, holding several berries of some sort.

There was a flash of blue light. The Water Faerie arrived, looking quite grumpy and muttering that there were "many needy Neopians were at the Healing Springs waiting for her".

There was a flash of yellow light. The Light Faerie emerged, staring at Jhudora, Fluffy, Skeithena and Luperusse in shock. "My word, Hidden Tower thieves! How, oh how could this be!"

There was a flash of red light. The Fire Faerie materialised, with a fireball in her hand. "I am ready to attack these thieves if need be, Queen Fyora!"/p>

All four of the Uber-Faeries began jabbering away noisily.

Fyora waved her wand, trying to restore order. "Silence!" she called.

None of the Faeries listened to Fyora, as they usually did. They were too excited, and just kept chattering.

The imperious Faerie Queen wasn’t too used to being ignored. "SILENCE!" she screamed, and the Uber-Faeries instantly became their usual obedient selves, and discontinued their talking.

"Now that you have finally stopped your talking," began Fyora, putting very heavy emphasis on the word finally, "and are listening to me, I would like to hand this speech over to the Air Faerie, who will tell you exactly what she saw and exactly what happened."

The Air Faerie nodded to Fyora. "Well, I can tell you exactly what I saw, but not exactly what happened, because I came here just a few minutes before I summoned all of you. All right, I was in my Neohome enjoying some Fruity Faerie Fingers when I felt that one of the treasures that I had created had been broken! I knew that it must have been my Air Faerie Sword, so I immediately flew here. When I did, I saw Jhudora, and these Hidden Tower thieves, a Skeith, a Lupe, and an Aisha! Jhudora here said that the NeoPets had dragged her here and were trying to frame her...so, what do you think, Queen Fyora?"

"Okay, my Faerie folk. So, who thinks that Jhudora is lying?"

All of the Faeries raised their hands.

Jhudora pulled at the Uber-Dark Faerie’s arm. "Dark Faerie, my friend, how could you do this to me?"

The Dark Faerie glanced at Jhudora. "I’m not your friend anymore, Jhudy. I may be a Dark Faerie, but Dark Faeries aren’t all bad. I’m a friend of Jhudora, you know - you’ll have to get out of this trouble yourself. I’m not helping you anymore."

"So all of us, including me, think that Jhudora the Dark Faerie is lying!" Fyora continued. "Now, who thinks that these three NeoPets are innocent?"

The Uber-Water Faerie spoke up. "The Aisha and Lupe are mutated in an odd way, the way Jhudora looks; they must be servants of Jhudora herself, and have come to help her steal the Air Faerie’s Sword and the Ice and Fire Blade. However, I think that the Skeith deserves a chance. Let us see if what she says is a lie or not, and then let us judge whether the three are Jhudora’s friends, or foes."

The other Faeries nodded in approval. "Water Faerie, you are right," Fyora agreed. "Skeith! What do you have to say for Jhudora, this Lupe and this Aisha?"

"Your Majesty Fyora, my name is Skeithena. My brother, the Lupe here, is called Luperusse. The Aisha is called Fluffy. Fluffy, Luperusse and I have thwarted Jhudora’s evil plans a few times, and Jhudora wanted revenge, so she kidnapped us, and made Fluffy an evil Aisha. We escaped from her Cloud, so she rode on Fluffy and followed us here. We thought that if we borrowed an item here, we could defend ourselves from Jhudora."

"Oh, really?" said Fyora. "So, young Skeithena, how did Jhudora turn this Fluffy into an evil Aisha? And why does Luperusse, supposedly your brother, look mutated like Fluffy does?"

Skeithena smiled faintly. "It is a rather long story, but I don’t think I need to tell you. It is all in Faerie Berry Recipes, page one hundred and eighty-seven. Oh, and check page one hundred and eighty-nine for more information. Fluffy can easily be put back to normal, if I have the right items."

"Okay, okay! I don’t need to read a book to see that your story is true..." said Fyora. "But I will use a spell which won’t let you go home until you give me back an Air Faerie Sword or seven million Neopoints, and turn Fluffy back to normal! I’m very, very sorry about this, my young NeoPets, but it goes like this in the Hidden Tower: You break, you buy! Oh yes, turning Fluffy back to normal shouldn’t be hard, since you say she can ‘easily be put back to normal’..." With that, Fyora and all her Uber-Faeries disappeared.

"Seven million NP!" groaned Luperusse. "Seven million! How are we ever going to get that much? We have to get seven million Neopoints and make Fluffy her normal self! What is that Fyora thinking? It’s easy to say, and harder to do - especially with Jhudora on our backs!"

"Especially with me on your backs," echoed Jhudora sneeringly. She was still sitting on Fluffy’s back. "Well, Luperusse, I do happen to have an Air Faerie Sword in my Cloud, from a Quest that one of the Neopians did. I might decide to give the Sword to you."

Skeithena narrowed her eyes. "Even if you give it to us, we’ll have to pay a price, Jhudora. I know what you’re like."

"You’re right, young Skeithena! Now, listen carefully. I will give you the Air Faerie Sword but only if one of you - either of you - eat a Jhudaberry Omelette and be my slave!"

"Oh yes? And how do we know that you’ll keep this promise of yours?"

Jhudora cackled evilly. "I will. It’s your only chance to get back home, anyway..."

I'm sorry, but I've finally realised why Josh didn't publish it. The Part 3 that I sent him was exactly the same as Part Two. After I find a way to find Part 3 / re-write Part 3, I'll post it up here. If you want me to. UPDATE: I am mad. Very mad. I have to re-write the whole of Part Three. What's more, I can't remember what happened. SECOND UPDATE: I am happy now. Very happy. I DON'T have to re-write Part Three! Yay! Okayy, after I get my Neopian Times Folder sorted out, I'll post the rest up here

The Air Faerie’s Sword: Part Three

Sharon and Jess knocked on the door. No one answered.

"Where are they?" said Sharon impatiently. She called through the door, "Luperusse! Skeithena! WE’RE BACK! Hello? Hello? Hello?"

Still, no one answered. Jess gave a forced laugh. "They’re probably playing some sort of prank on you, Sharon."

"Maybe," said Sharon, typing her password into a code box on her door. The door clicked open. Sharon breathed a sigh of relief. "At least now I know I haven’t been hacked."

The two friends walked into the Neohome, calling their pets’ names. But there was no answer. They searched every room, and found nothing.

Sharon slumped down on her Blue Bean Bag Chair unhappily. "They’re nowhere! Maybe the hacker just took my pets and went away...I mean, Luperusse has good Battledome statistics, and Skeithena has high intelligence...maybe the hacker just wanted good pets...yes, a hacker took my pets!"

"Without even taking your items, furniture, Neopoints, and all that stuff? Hmm...I don’t think so," answered Jess grimly.

***

"So, which one of you will agree to be my slave in exchange for an Air Faerie Sword? Come on, young NeoPets, time is running out!" Jhudora urged Skeithena and Luperusse."

"Hang on," said Skeithena quickly, "I want to discuss it with Luperusse first."

"Fine!" Jhudora snarled. "But you better be quick about it, or else you don’t get any Sword!"

"Luperusse," Skeithena whispered, "I’ve got an idea that might help us!"

The Lupe was very grumpy, as he usually was when he was in danger. Not that being grumpy helped a lot. "Oh, you mean a good idea like the one that you had when you decided we should go to the Hidden Tower and borrow items?" he said sarcastically.

Skeithena ignored Luperusse’s remark - she was quite used to his grumpiness. "Listen! We can - oh, never mind," she said, as, out of the corner of her eye, she watched Jhudora show signs of impatience, "just give me your Ice and Fire Blade!"

Before he could reply, Skeithena grabbed Luperusse’s blade, and took a Jhudora the Dark Faerie Doll (complete with a little tag saying Cost: 1,500,000 NP. Fyora was very reluctant to put this in the Hidden Tower) from the shelf. She faced Jhudora.

"Aww," cried Jhudora, losing control of herself. "Look at the cute little Faerie Doll, a doll that looks like me! Oh, please, Skeith, don’t do anything to it! I won’t be able to bear you ripping my Faerie Doll up! Please! I’ll even give you my Air Faerie Sword!"

***

They (Jhudora, Fluffy, Luperusse and Skeithena) finally arrived in Jhudora’s Cloud.

"Go on!" said Skeithena irritably, still holding the Jhudora the Dark Faerie Doll a fraction away from the Ice and Fire Blade. The Blade was far heavier than the light-as-a-feather Air Faerie Sword, and her paws were beginning to get tired. "Give us your Air Faerie Sword. Now!"

"Okay, okay! Just don’t damage the poor little doll!" squealed Jhudora, handing Skeithena the Air Faerie Sword. Jhudora took the Faerie Doll and held it in her hands like a baby Usul playing with its Usuki sets.

"Give us Fluffy, too," insisted Luperusse.

"No! I keep my promises, but I have my limits! I didn’t say that I’d give you Fluffy; I just said that I’d give you the Air Faerie Sword! You won’t have Fluffy as long as I can stop you!" cried Jhudora, her powerful Dark Faerie Wand in hand.

"Oh, so you’re saying you’re gonna fight us? Well, let’s go!" cried Luperusse happily. He loved the Battledome. "No offense meant, Skeithena, but I’m better in the Battledome than you are (even though you’re fast) - so I’ll fight!"

"No offense taken," answered Skeithena. "You go, Luperusse! You can do it, brother!"

Luperusse aimed his Sword at Jhudora’s leg, while at the same time dodging a blast from her Wand. The Lupe’s blow had hit. Jhudora howled in agony, "MY LEG! MY LEG! MY PRECIOUS LEG!" She limped towards her ex-slave, and hit him in the tail with her Wand.

"That hurt!" growled Luperusse, grabbing his tail. Jhudora saw her chance and snatched the Sword from him, and threw it away.

Skeithena rushed towards the place where the Sword was about to land, and caught it. Phew, she thought, that was close! Imagine if the Sword broke AGAIN...

The Lupe didn’t bother to look at the Sword. He was an experienced battler, and knew that if he hesitated any more, Jhudora would do even more damage. He let go of his tail and bit hard into Jhudora’s wing, and the evil Faerie fainted!

The ex-Jhudora slave kicked the knocked-out Jhudora aside. "So, Skeithena, did you save the Sword?"

"Yup," said Skeithena proudly. "You did great fighting Jhudora. That was a really good fight!"

"A really good fight? Oh, that reminds me. I’ll have to have another fight..." Luperusse quickly backed away from a snarling Fluffy. "...Another fight with Fluffy, to be precise..."

"I don’t think we can help at all by knocking her out," sighed Skeithena. "We’ll just have to find some way of subduing her, and then...and then we’ll have to make her back to normal! After we get her back to normal, we’ll give the Sword back to Fyora..."

Luperusse had started to run round and round the room, with Fluffy close behind. "What you say isn’t as easy as it sounds. Especially the subduing bit," he added, as Fluffy snapped at his tail.

"Crates!" cried Skeithena. After quite a struggle (which included Fluffy biting Luperusse’s tail), the two managed to get Fluffy in one of Jhudora’s crates.

After giving Jhudora a sharp poke from the Air Faerie Sword, to make sure that she wouldn’t wake up and follow them again, they set off, carrying the crate between them.

Jess tried desperately to cheer Sharon up. "The first time Skeithena and Luperusse babysat Fluffy, they acted like they’d had an adventure or something and didn’t want to tell us...they’re probably out on one of those adventures now, and they’ll come back soon, so all we have to do is wait - "

"Yeah, those two are probably having a very pleasant adventure with a hacker right now," said Sharon, her head in her hands.

"Don’t think like that, Sharon!" cried Jess, who then decided that she’d change the subject. She suddenly glanced at her watch. "Oh! It’s already ten past three NST! I think we should go have lunch now, Sharon, you’ve missed lunch worrying about your poor little NeoPets..." Jess went into the kitchen, and opened the refrigerator. "Let’s see what’s in here, hmm? Okay, some Mushy Musho Peas, delicious!" Actually, Jess despised Musho Peas, but she knew that Sharon was a poor Neopian and that it wasn’t the right time to groan about what sort of food there was in her refrigerator.

Jessica divided the can of Musho Peas into two portions, and passed one to Sharon. "Come on, Sharon, let’s have lunch! Yum, yum, Mushy Musho Peas!"

"No, Jess," said Sharon, not looking up. "I’m not going to eat until I know that Luperusse and Skeithena are safe."

The Air Faerie’s Sword: Part Four

"I've been living in Meridell for years now, it's so peaceful and serene (and I get to be as far away from those Dark Faeries as possible!) Anyway, I have a couple of jobs that you may be interested in," Illusen told Skeithena and Luperusse.

"Yeah, we’re interested," replied Skeithena, "even though we only have 100 NP."

"Good! Now, if you can fetch me some items from around Neopia, I can reward you with some of these cool things I have made over the years..." (Illusen showed them an Illusen’s Potion, an Illusen’s Staff, and a couple of Illusen’s Cream Cookies) "Yes, aren't they pretty? How about we start off with a few easy errands, and go from there. I don't want to waste TOO much of your time but I really do have to get these items you know... Unfortunately, if you don't find my item within the time limit, then I'm going to put you right back on the easy quests! Interested??"

"My sister already said we’re interested!" shouted Luperusse.

"Er, yeah, but that was actually my welcome speech...I have to say it whenever anyone comes. Ready to start on your quest?"

"Yes!"

"Okay, good," said Illusen. "I haven’t had a customer in quite a while. Anyway, where is my Dark Faerie Doll? I need them so I can use them as Dark Faerie voodoo dolls and squash them whenever I feel like it..." Illusen yawned. "You only have sixteen minutes and thirty-nine seconds left!"

"The Dark Faerie Doll is SO expensive!" Luperusse said to Skeithena, as they exited the Glade. "Illusen is mad, that doll costs about two million Neopoints in the Trading Post! More than that!"

"Well we will have to try and find another way to get Fluffy better. Forget about the Illusen quests...let’s go and buy some Illusen food instead...An Illusen’s Cream Cookie, I think."

"So now you’re saying that we have to travel from here all the way back to Neopia Central?" demanded Luperusse. "The walk from Faerieland to Meridell already takes long enough..."

Skeithena looked at Luperusse. "Oh, do stop moaning! I’m the one carrying Fluffy’s crate and the Air Faerie Sword, so I’ve got more to complain about than you do! Why, Luperusse, the sooner we get Fluffy better and return the Air Faerie Sword, the sooner we can get home to Sharon."

"Talking about Sharon, do you think she’s worried about us? She’s probably got home by now, she said that she’d get home by lunchtime..."

"Oh! I’d completely forgotten about Sharon and Jess. They’re probably really worried. Poor Sharon."

They talked on in this fashion for quite a long time, until suddenly two very ugly grey bugs jumped out at them. "We are the Bug Brothers, and we’ll take 194 Neopoints from you! Hahaha!" The Bug Brothers crawled off, cackling.

"Thanks a lot, Bug Brothers," groaned Luperusse, "now we have minus-ninety-four Neopoints! Great, really great! Now how are we going to get any Illusen stuff? Sharon’s already played all the games in the Games Room three times today, she told us she did, early this morning..."

The yellow Skeith looked thoughtful. "Hm...she doesn’t do the Faerie Crossword, does she?"

"No, why?" And then Luperusse realised. "Skeithena, you sometimes annoy me so much! So NOW you are telling me that we have to walk back to Faerieland...again!"

"Of course we are, Luperusse."

***

Thirty minutes later, they arrived in the Faerie Crossword. The Library Faerie looked up from her book. "Hello young NeoPets! Welcome to the Faerie Crossword game! I need your help to fill in this crossword puzzle. I have clues but can't make head or tail of them! So you'll need to read them and figure out what words go in each spot."

Luperusse sighed. "Not another welcome speech! Don’t Faeries get bored when they have to say the same thing whenever anybody comes?" he asked.

The Library Faerie ignored him, and continued, "Words always go from left-to-right, or up-to-down (they never go down-to-up or right-to-left, that would be crazy!) and must be filled in one letter at a time. Once you have filled in all the letters correctly, you will be awarded prizes! You can only receive prizes once per day (once per puzzle, in other words) but you can solve a day's puzzle as many times as you want! Remember, if you start a puzzle too late in the day, the new one might replace it before you finish the old one! So get started!"

"Remind me what the prizes are again, please," said Skeithena politely.

The Faerie smiled at Skeithena. "Oh, a polite NeoPet at last! Most unlike someone I won’t mention right now," she added, glaring at Luperusse, who glared back. "Now, young Skeith, if you solve the puzzle in less than five minutes, you’ll get six hundred Neopoints. If you solve it in less than fifteen minutes, you get four hundred Neopoints. If you’re a little slow and can only solve it in more than fifteen minutes, you’ll only get two hundred NP! But, of course, the Crossword puzzle is very hard, so I wouldn’t be surprised if you didn’t finish it very quickly."

Skeithena, with all the books that she had read, was a very quick writer and had a vast knowledge of many items and famous pets and Faeries of Neopia. She finished the Crossword in less than ten seconds!

"Wow, young Skeith! That is a record! You have finished my puzzle in 6 seconds! I would have thought that impossible. Anyway, I will give you an extra prize for being quicker than any other Neopian could be. Here are your prizes!" The Library Faerie game Skeithena six hundred Neopoints and a book.

"Thanks, Library Faerie! A book! Woohoo!"

They went out of the building. "I didn’t know you were THAT good," said Luperusse in admiration.

"I didn’t either," grinned Skeithena. "Anyway, let’s see what the book title is. Hm, Faerie Berry Recipes..."

Luperusse snorted. "You already have that in your library!"

"Don’t you know the Shop Wizard price of that book?" asked Skeithena.

"Er, no," said the Lupe sheepishly. He didn’t read much, he liked the Battledome more.

"It’s about eighteen thousand Neopoints! Sharon’s only got a thousand in her Bank, we can sell this book so that we can get her more NP! Woohoo! No more Lamb Broth from the Soup Kitchen!" said Skeithena excitedly.

"Oh, but we can’t get home until we get Fluffy back," Luperusse pointed out. "Meridell is closer than Pet Central, I wish that we could still do Illusen’s Quests." He sighed. "If we fail her quest, which we already did, we’ll be put down to Level One - "

Suddenly, both siblings suddenly burst out laughing. "We ARE on Level One!!" they cried out together.

Skeithena stopped laughing to say, "It’s hilarious that we didn’t realise it earlier! It’s a wonder how strange fear makes you. We never did go to Illusen’s Quests much, so..."

<p align="center>***

Half an hour later...

"Okay, Illusen, we got you your Red Nimmo Plushie!" called Luperusse.

"It only cost us two hundred and fifty Neopoints!" added his older Skeith sister.

"Give us our Illusen’s Cream Cookie now," pleaded Luperusse. "Please?"

Illusen smiled. "Very good, young Neopians. Here!" She handed Luperusse an Illusen Cream Cookie.

"Let’s get out of here! Thanks Illusen!"

Just outside Illusen’s Glade, Luperusse gave the Cream Cookie to Skeithena. "I am not going near Fluffy when she has those fangs," he said, staring pointedly at his tail.

"All right, all right," said Skeithena, throwing the Cookie into the crate. After giving it a little sniff, the Aisha ate it, and transformed back into her cute Baby Aisha self.

"You Skeithy and Lupey save Fluffy! Fluffy happy!" she cried, jumping onto Luperusse’s back. The Baby Aisha reached out and touched Luperusse’s tail. "Fluffy sorry bit Luperusse tail."

"Okay!" cried Luperusse. "Now get off me!"

***

"Queen Fyora. Your Majesty, here is an Air Faerie Sword. I am sorry that I broke yours."

Fyora smiled warmly, taking the Sword. "Well done, you two! I am very surprised that two young NeoPets such as you would be able to fetch an Air Faerie Sword back so quickly! You may go home now. Goodbye, young ones, and I hope to see you again!"

She waved her wand, and with a flash of pink light, the three were transported to Sharon’s Neohome...

***

Sharon looked up as the door opened, and Skeithena, Luperusse, and Fluffy walked in.

"It’s you!" cried Sharon, hugging Skeithena and Luperusse. "I was wondering what’d happened to you - "

Jess walked into the room, and put Fluffy on her lap. "I told you that they’d be okay. I told you that they were just having one of their adventures!"

Sharon looked at Skeithena and Luperusse. "Tell me all about it."

And they did.

(End of Part Four. End of Series, actually)
