Alanova is the highest power in the Star Nations. The place where laws are passed, bargains are made, and peace is created. But within months of the sixth Keeper’s Birth Date, things take a turn for the worst. The Keeper is murdered. An unofficial beheading that sends the Keeper’s Court into turmoil, and a Dimension broken hearted. And then there is James, his powerful young daughter that happens to be in the midst of it all.
Characters
Jasmine “James” Marie:
Is a beautiful young girl, with a sharp tongue and witty attitude. James is nothing like those in the Court or in all of Alanova, she finds things the woman are to do boring and a waste. So she busies herself with sports meant for men such as fencing and science. She is a brilliant young girl, often rebelling against what is expected of her as a woman, going so far as to cut her hair to an extremely short length. The death of her father is hard on her, and the sudden pressure that she could end up becoming the Keeper herself doesn’t help.
Eric Reed:
Is a charming young boy, following a cowardly man. Eric grew up in the Outer Region of the Star Nations, the poorest and brutal of the Dimension. It is here where the sparks of Rebellion finally ignite, pulling the young man into a world of desperate people. Eric is a determined young man bent on leaving the Outer Region, and soon he does traveling to Alanova with Alexander Caspian, the Keeper’s younger brother and the Rebellion leader. It is there he meets James, a girl about his age that makes things a little difficult for him.
